I was quite surprised after arriving in Sheffield from Manchester Piccadilly to find a branch of Superdrug inside the train station, as this is something that I've never seen before, I found it to be quite cool as Superdrug is generally a decent brand for picking up cheap beverages as well as health and beauty products, but sadly this store is another case of being in the wrong location for its market, showing no adaptations for the location.
The product range around the beverage section was far too depleted, it looked like it had been raided and by the signs of things, it looked like it had been that way for a few days too, for me a travel store should always have a good range of travel food and accessories, catering for the market it is in, the people who are using the train station (Why else would you be here if you weren't getting a train?)
The store appeared to have some sort of beauty area, this is good if you like that sort of thing, but again it made that area of the store awkward and unapproachable, it kind of cornered off a section of the store when the store for me was too small to cope with.
Sadly, this store is doing too much and the things it is doing too little of for me are the most vital, key and important parts of the consumer experience in a travel location.
