There are times you just don't feel like washing, drying and styling after an 8 hour drive. Right? I have VERY thick hair and there is a LOT of it. It takes me forever to dry it and my arms ache when I'm done. It is such a nice luxury having someone else do it The ladies at this Hair Cuttery are so nice and friendly. You feel like your having coffee with a friend who happens to do your hair as you catch up. The only thing that does bug me is the price difference for thick hair blow outs vs regular hair but they do such a nice job Due to Covid they can't take too many walk INS as they used to. If they don't have appts then they can take them but I'd advise just going online and booking instead of taking a chance.

You couldn't miss the sanitizer at the front desk. The stylists' stations themselves are well more than six feet apart. Disposable capes are also used. It's obvious every step is taken to keep you safe. What about my hair? Sandy has been my stylist now for 35 years. She is the best! She never lets my hair get "old." She always has great ideas for a new cut or tweaking my color. I can't tell you how often when I'm out and about someone asks, Who does your hair?! or says, I love your highlights! I finally asked Sandy for her cards to hand out. If you need a new stylist or are just tired of the same old thing, I'd call Sandy at Salon 33.

I'm 74 years old and very particular about the way my short hair is cut (my dad was a barber). Today I went to the salon for the first time and Erin Eisenhart cut and styled my hair. Not only is Erin delightful to know, but she also gave me the MOST BEAUTIFUL HAIRCUT that I have ever had. Erin layered my hair perfectly. The salon is clean, lovely, and very welcoming. I left unhappy with both my hair and the overall experience. I went in for a root touch-up, and the…read morefinal result was blotchy and uneven, nowhere near justifying the $206 I paid. What made it worse was being quoted one price beforehand, then being told at checkout it would be over $300 until I challenged it and pointed out the original quote. That felt misleading and very uncomfortable. The appointment also took an excessively long time and felt messy and unprofessional, with foils falling out and bleach splattering on me. During the process, I repeatedly pointed out that the bleaching looked uneven, but I was reassured toner would fix it and it would turn out fine. It did not. I was very upset with the result and cried when I got home. What was especially frustrating was being told before the service was even underway that for my hair to "look good," I would need to pay around $600, which felt shocking and unreasonable. I declined. When I got home, I contacted them again about the result and was only offered a consultation to come back in. It felt unempathetic and seemed like I would need to spend hundreds more again just to make my hair presentable. I ended up going to a different salon the next day to have it corrected, and they were visibly shocked by the condition of the bleach job, especially in the back where I hadn't been able to see how uneven it was. I told the new salon I had a budget, and they worked within it and put in a lot of effort to correct the color and make it presentable again. I've had my roots done at other salons for much less, with significantly better results. I expected transparency, professionalism, and quality, and unfortunately did not receive any of those here.

I've been having my hair professionally cut and colored for years now, but the technique and process at Salon 39 made my hair look so much better, even days later when I'm styling it myself. I was especially happy to see how well the color lasted. With other salons, my color would barely last a week - even with proper care - and I was left wondering what I paid for. It's been a month since my visit to Salon 39 and my color is solid and looks great. The staff are so nice and very focused on customer service. They took their time and made sure I was totally happy with my hair. I usually don't enjoy getting my hair cut, it's more of a chore for me, but I'm sincerely looking forward to my next visit and the many more to come!
