I often visit the area and I prefer to buy food here when possible instead of visiting Mercadona in Torrevieja. The reason - it is less busy here most of the time. Prices and products are the same as in other Mercadona stores in the area. One final thing that sets this store apart - they have new lightweight plastic shopping carts that are not locked. You don't need to insert a coin to get one. Seems to be an experiment that never spread to their other supermarkets. Small detail that makes a difference. Will be back.

At 2:31 pm an employee approached us and rudely said: "it's closed, you have to pay, now!" Directing us to the cash registers. They had already closed the shutters and we couldn't leave (kidnapping?). Finally a security guard arrived and opened the door halfway without giving us time to return the trolley inside and therefore also losing the euro used to unlock it. What a shame. At 2:39 pm the shop was empty and closed. They shouldn't have let us in or warned us that they were about to close. Obviously we will never set foot in a Masymas supermarket again.

Clean hall, wide choice of food and drinks, reasonable prices (especially considering their seafront location). You need a Masymas if you are renting an apartment instead of staying in a hotel, which is very common. The store was quite busy when I visited - people were loading up on wine and jamón after the day spent on the beach. I guess they deliver to homes, there was a delivery van parked outside. You can sign up for their loyalty program in-store and get some discounts. The company maintains a lifestyle blog (only in Spanish): http://www.vidamediterranea.es Conclusion: convenient for holiday-makers and locals, reasonable prices. Also love their name ("MoreAndMore") and design of stores and vehicles :) UPDATE: just found them on twitter, they publish daily ads like this one, cool: https://twitter.com/masymas_fornes/status/761820360392204288?s=09

There was a wide variety of "fresh" (over-ice seafood available at this location. There were plenty of drinks available as well as yogurts and desserts. Do not expect gourmet or fancy products here but the selection is good and it gets the job done. Thanks, Mercadona! :-)

The difference - this store has a guard who's very busy walking around and watching people. More thieves here than everywhere else? Remito a lo que pone en su Facebook…read more KL Bakery is a young company, founded in 2012, opening our first shop in Alfaz del Pi in January 2013. The idea for KL Bakery is to always deliver fresh bread without all strange additives that nobody understands, as E272???. Our bread is baked fresh every night, not using frozen dough or preservatives. Our bread is all natural. It all started in the summer of 2012, we were looking for fresh bread in the Albir-Alfaz area and shocked with the difficulties we had to find what we wanted, and when we finally did we had the second shock; the prices. The idea to open our own bakery was born. From idea to reality!! To sell bread is not an art, but to bake so many different types of bread and cakes every night is difficult and even worse, none of us had any experience of baking at this level. The idea was to use some good recipes and to bake the bread every day, but then the creativity took over and we started trying different combinations using the fantasy. This resulted in KL Bakery´s, already now, well known and fantastic assortment that never ends, we always have something new and continue our creative baking. Baked with Passion. You can easily say that we bake with love with quality in focus, "we never bend the borders" when it comes to choice of products or ways to produce. We proudly bake our bread every night, it is not a dance on roses but thanks to all our fantastic customers who choose our bread and support us, we get new energy to continue developing. Our Bread!!. "All our breads are ours", baked by hand every night with all our passion. The name of the breads comes from different experiences in life and our imagination. Success!! Our first shop has been a huge success and now we have opened the biggest bread shop in the area. Our second shop opened in March next to Supermarket Mendoza in Albir.
