I have always went later in the evening & never had issues but tonight against my better judgement I left long enough to get some dryer sheets & when I returned the lights were off & the doors locked. I immediately panicked & tried to get ahold of the owners on Facebook or any number I could find with no luck. there worker Kim said she couldn't help me, that she didn't have access to the severity system. I begged for her to get ahold of the owners just so I could get my clothes out and take them elsewhere to dry, she said there was nothing she could do. Now, not only am i out the gas & money and detergent I used, now my clothes will be mildewed & will need to be rewashed. I had to scrape change just to make this 1 load happen & now I have no idea what to do. I would never do someone this way.

Laura's Laundromat opened in the River Place Plaza about a month after we moved to Barboursville,…read moreand it was the only laundromat we used for our almost two years in the Huntington area. It was a wonderful place to go -- three flat screen TVs and free pizza on Monday nights (though it sounds like that may have been cancelled due to customer abuse?) made doing laundry a pleasant task. It was also clean and bright, with lots of windows. The only downside was that the location wasn't big enough -- they could have used several more washers, especially bigger ones. There was usually at least one big washer broken, and a lot of the customers tried to take advantage of Laura and didn't help keep the place neat and caused the closing of the restrooms. That said, we still loved it there, and Laura is a super nice person that we enjoyed getting to know.

I am writing a review because quite frankly there are no useful reviews about any laundromats in…read morethe Cabell County area. I am in healthcare and I travel for work to the area and on occasion the hotel I stay in does not have laundry service. Despite the fact that I work in Huntington and this is 8 miles away, it is well worth the drive to go to a clean, safe and functional coin laundry. The clientele here don't appear as though they are strung out or just shot up in the bathroom (versus all the coin laundries in Huntington). The cost of a small wash is four dollars which is a little bit steep, but in comparison to the other laundromats in Huntington, most of the machines were in working order. Additionally, the dryer was $.25 for five minutes and medium load was dry within 25 minutes so a single load washer dryer was $5.25. Overall, the experience was very positive and I'm glad I found somewhere to do my laundry when I travel to this area even if driving out here it's kind of a schlep.
