I had just bought a car wash membership and was drying my car at the cleaning station when I noticed a small spot of dirt that had been missed nothing crazy but I wanted a wet rag to wipe it off. I asked one of the workers, I believe his name was Jack or started with a j if there was a water fountain or hose I could use. He said sorry we don't have one but then went out of his way to grab a couple of rags, wet them at the wash, and bring them back to me. Great service and great guy. read more

They apologized to me about the music incident. They said this was a manager that was filling in from another location, and was playing music that was not authorized.. They are only open for a few months and we finally gave it a try. Expensive for a basic wash and you don't get what you paid for. $16? I would go to soapy joes and pay $13 for a better wash. Stingy on the soap, I felt like they almost don't want to provide it. No air freshener to hand out as well. Vacuum is so low that it doesn't appear to be sucking all the dirt. I do not recommend this car wash and won't return, the quality is bad. I would rather give my $13 to soapy joes and be satisfied with my car wash. read more

Finally was able to visit this new Super Star car wash on Balboa. It was not super busy when I visited around lunch time. The wash was as expected, nothing different than the other locations that I could tell. The vacuuming area was about the same amount of spots and spaciousness, but it was nice not being jam packed. Still rocking some kind of old school music on the loud speakers. Lot is very clean. Lots of spaces for vacuuming and wiping down your car. The vacuums were also working well. I never really visited this location because I thought access to this location would be difficult, and mainly come right off the freeway or from west of Balboa. But the hubs told me there's a back way you can enter into the wash and don't always have to be traveling east. You can enter from the east at the light as if you were heading to 24-hour fitness. Went to wash my car 8/23 at 2pm. All the employees were super friendly and accommodating. The driveway felt longer than some of the other washes I've been to. Super protect wash came out really clean. They have a separate driveway for members to enter. I just don't like that part since it wasn't obvious so I drove to the wrong lane at first, luckily there was no one in line. The price is competitive for the area. It feels pretty clean here and the location is good. The traffic to turn in and out was convenient unlike some other washes I've been to before. I caved and bought a membership. They didn't pressure me into it. There are many stations so I didn't feel rushed when wiping the car and there are even air pumps! read more

My review is highly influenced by my interaction with Carlos who was great!! They are very busy and incredibly organized! The long line was so efficiently taken cared of, it did not take any time!! At first I thought oh what have I done, all these cars and I have no way out... but man am I happy I tried the free car wash it was EXCELLENT!!! What a great publicity to offer a free car wash, they just need a girl with a bikini holding a sign to get more attention... yes they will explain to you the membership options and specials when you get to the front of the line, it is after all a business people, so don't be annoyed by it, they have great deals! I was on my way to Soapy Joe's when I saw a new car washing spot opening. They had a promotion for free car wash so obviously it got my attention given that this car wash station is much closer to the highway. Sadly after the car wash, all my mirrors were misplaced and turned in all possible directions. My mirrors are also fold automatically and it was a concern that washer actually damaged them. Luckily, I was able to adjust them back. After a month, I decided to go back to wash my car and same thing happened again with my mirrors. I never had this happened in Soapy Joe's before. Extremely expensive - 25 dollars or 16 for the cheapest wash (single). By the payment booth, woman was talking on her phone and then tried to sell me the membership (which is 35$!). When I remarked how expensive the price is, she didn't want to assist me anymore and left when I needed help to insert the card. Pulling into the car wash, another woman also on her phone didn't look up and didn't align the car. When I notified her to help me align my vehicle, she got offended as well and only sprayed soap on my windshield and then left to be on her phone again. Decided to try this place with the " Free wash" clearly advertised on the main road. I pulled up & told the older gentleman with the orange mustache and he was overly rude telling me there's no such thing as a free wash. He went on to try to sell me the membership when I clearly wasn't interested in that. And then went on to tell me he's gonna give me a free wash. Haha, thanks for the "favor." Went through and wasn't impressed with the wash at all. I have another carwash membership elsewhere and really was looking to switch. I have tried a lot of the "membership" car washes and finally was pleased with Super Star. It cleaned my vehicle the best out of all of them. The biggest downside to Super Star is that they are constantly plagued with maintenance issues. Spinning wash arms are always failing and either don't get close to the vehicle or are stopped completely. And now today, the vacuums were horrible with no constant suction. Unfortunately, it now looks like Super Star has become a waste of money. Time to cancel my membership. read more

I had an incident happen at the mission center road location, where my car hit the car in front of me because she was caught on the belt. So I chose the balboa location to avoid the situation from happening. As I was entering the car wash, I was waiting for the car in front of me to move forward more on the belt. The manager kept waving at me to enter and go forward even though I was hand gesturing to her that I was waiting. When I did pull into the car wash I had my window rolled down because I was trying to let her know about placing cars too close because of what happened before. She chose to ignore me and starting spraying my car with soap and it started to get in the car so as I was trying to roll my window up to avoid water coming in, I was trying to also place my car in neutral at the same time. Her negligence resulted in my tire becoming flat and ruining the valve. She could've prevented this by stopping the belt and listening to what I had to say, there was no other car behind me and her lack of customer service and her negligence cost me a tire repair of almost $800 and time taken away from being able to work. I had to call a tow truck and bring my car to the dealership so it could be repaired. I do not recommend going to the car wash that is run by children who aren't competent enough but demand higher salaries and do not want to take obligations for their negligence. Maybe I'm expecting too much. It is after all only a car wash maybe they are being done by the cartel?! God only knows but I canceled my membership and I will never go there again!! read more

My car was rear ended in the car wash while it was being washed. The attendant put the car behind me too close and it jerked forward and left 2 dents on my bumper. I asked them to pay for damages and they denied the claim. I am so pissed off. And they took 2 months to respond back. Now, I am trying to cancel my membership, which you can only do online. I am unable to because it comes up as the wrong card attached to the account when payment is clearly being deducted. I have a message out to them, week 2 with the same response of 'we are looking into this'. Like how busy are you at a machine ran car wash? Idiots. So done with them. read more

The worker that takes the money at the booth needs to learn when a customer says no, they mean no. He kept trying to upsell me on the monthly subscription. He told me about it and I said I wasn't interested. He then kept insisting that I should buy I after I said no about 3 times. Please train your workers to care and listen to their customers. He then had a tempered mood because I didn't pay for their subscription like it came out of his pocket. Although the free car wash promotion was nice, my experience was spoiled by Shawnalynn (6/8 @~3pm) who was incredibly rude to me. She was directing traffic and pointing cars into lanes and it was hard to tell who she was pointing at, either me or the car behind me. I pointed to myself, and the lane she had just gestured to to gain clarification and she rolled her eyes at me and walked past the car without any further clarification and both me and my partner were shocked that she'd treat someone like this. I also left with my car still incredibly dirty but for a free wash, I won't complain. Won't be purchasing the subscription, though. read more

WARNING: Bait-and-Switch Tactics and Non-Existent Service I recently visited "Super Car Wash" specifically to utilize the free wash promotion advertised on their website, as I wanted to test their service before committing. To my astonishment, they outright refused to honor the free wash. Instead of the trial, I was pressured to pay the exact same price as a full monthly subscription for only a single wash. I could not believe the blatant bait-and-switch tactics. The service was abysmal. There were three young employees working, and none of them were helpful or polite in explaining why the advertised promotion was being rejected. It felt like they were actively trying to scam customers into overpaying. Do not waste your time or money here. I drove down the road past the next intersection to a competitor who happily let me try their service, and their subscription pricing is substantially more reasonable.
