Ray always answers his cell phone so that is great for communication as well. The crew he uses have been with him a long time so they know what they are doing. The job was finished in four days and finished the drywall, matched the popcorn ceiling to where you cannot tell there was ever a leak in 3 different areas of the roof. Included was the repainting of the areas fixed. Ultimate Coverings was very affordable and I'm glad he called me back about the job. The owner, Codey Bailey, with Bailey & Son's Painting LLC., personally came to our house twice before the contract was evaluated/updated and then signed. He inspected the job in detail, strongly promoted his business, and gave every impression that he was capable and enthusiastic about the work. A start date of September 22, 2025, was confirmed in writing. In the weeks leading up to that date, communication was normal. Then, without warning, all calls and texts went unanswered a week before our start date. Mr. Bailey blocked me and my husband on social media from his business profile and abandoned the project completely. No work was performed and no payments were exchanged, but by that point parts of our home were still left stripped to bare wood and exposed, putting us at risk for more serious weather damage as it will now have to sit over winter unless we can find a reputable company to help. He cost us valuable time as he strung us out for a month where we could have hired someone else who is honest and capable. We have a signed contract, text message records, and photos showing both the agreed-upon timeline and the current state of our home. Meanwhile, Mr. Bailey has continued to boast online about securing other jobs, which suggests he walked away from ours in favor of different, less labor intensive/skillful work. I am posting this complaint to warn other consumers of the terrible, harmful and unethical business practices of Bailey & Son's Painting, LLC.
