The owner took us around the grounds and showed the process in the wine making. We stayed at the Airbnb located on the vineyard grounds. It is a tiny house, but is very cozy and clean. I asked her to look at the full cup that I returned and instead she argued with me saying that I added ice to the cup. when I froze the cup multiple ice chunks froze in the drink. Anyone who drinks alcohol know it does not freeze, this is proof in my opinion of the lack of alcohol in these drink. The only other thing I didn't really like was the checkout situation. Nobody came by to check on us when we were done eating, so we had to wait in the regular grocery checkout line to pay. Hot foods are available most of the day, breakfast biscuit sandwiches in the morning and then typical lunch food fare(fried chicken/fish, meat pies, boudin, boudin balls, sausage links) for the rest of the day. We were surprised to find fresh, homemade cracklins for $16.99/lb. A majority of the hearty bite-sized pieces had a good meat:skin proportion. The cracklins had a nice crunch and seasoning, but not too spicy. (Most natives are used to the spicy seasoned cracklins from south La). We grabbed a few of them to cook up at home- duck wrapped in bacon and chicken stuffed with crawfish dressing. Catering options are available too, just let them know in advance.
