We had to find another motel that night and were charged by priceline for the room. I have disputed this with my credit card company and they asked me to get an email confirmation from Motel 6 in Percival to provide proof we did not stay at this motel that night. I spoke to Twila, the manager who ended up telling me that her Franchise Agent said they are not allowed to get involved. I asked for his number to try to explain the situation and she refused to give it. She said she would call him and give him my number but she doubted he would return my call. I find this to be very rude to not be able to just get a confirmation email that we were not able to use the reservation. Motel 6 got their money for that room, and we were charged from priceline. I filed a complaint with BBB hoping to get some resolution.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with beds that made it easy to relax after a long day. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, making it a great place to unwind. Their solution was a space heater -- I'm not about to run a sketchy space heater overnight. It was 30 degrees outside overnight so I would say my room was maybe 40 degrees, freezing. When we were finally able to speak to a manager some hours later he ARGUED back and forth that that was not a valid reason to issue a refund. Very unprofessional and very very poor experience. I will be taking my business literally anywhere else.

Each room has the comforts of your own TV with cable, but I felt more than welcome to be downstairs in the main room with the big-screen TV, a large fireplace, and lots of seating/recliner choices. Free wifi/internet is provided. For breakfast, Carol and Ron both chip-in and provide an excellent breakfast. There are 4 or more choices to choose from, and the night before - just place your order and time - and it'll be ready. I recommend Carol's special scrambled eggs (bacon, cheese, peppers, onions) - awesome! Because of the time of year, it didn't happened to have many other guests. The one downside - it has a shared bathroom. There are several bathrooms within the lodge, so I guess it wouldn't be too much of a problem. The highlight of the time spent here was getting to know the very sweet people of Ron and Carol. They are warm, open, kind, and generous people who are in the right business of serving others and sharing their home.
