I mean I have stayed at several hotels all across this country....and as Days Inn's go......this one may be one of the 3 best I have EVER stayed in. It is centrally located right off US Hwy 65 South.....McDonald's......Fred's.....Exxon Gas.....Mad Butcher Grocery Store.....Merchants and Farmer's Bank......a Car Wash....Pizza Hut...etc....are all within walking distance. The Hotel room is very clean....spacious....well appointed.....and extremely comfortable. Huge King sized bed....mini fridge....microwave....Iron and Ironing board....sofa....work table.....dining table.....two end tables and a Flat Screen TV. I was extremely impressed and that is saying something for anything in Dumas Arkansas. I highly recommend that ANYONE who visits Dumas and needs a place to crash...to stay at the Days Inn. She helped us with recommendations and showed us around the hotel and gave us the history on everything. I have not ever had a receptionist this nice and helpful ever. She loves her job and it shows. The room was very comfortable and clean. The beds are very soft.

My fathers passing brought me to Mississippi. My cousin and I drove because he does not like to fly. Needless to say we were both tired from the road trip. We decided to call it and stay in Memphis Sheraton for a night. (See my review of this hotel.) When we arrived at this sanctuary I was supremely impressed with this hotel given its location. I'm not try to crap on Cleveland Mississippi but hey it's Cleveland Mississippi. This hotel easily could be in Chicago, Newt York, LA or Florida and meet all your big city needs. We walked and was greeted warmly with nice southern smiles and classic southern vernacular and pleasant southern twang by the receptionist. There is a feeling of pleasantry and floral, wood olfactory stimulation. In the counter there were people playing chess, talking and sipping on cocktails with a back drip of a saloon style bar from a time long ago. It's almost too good for where it is....‍. Again not crapping on the crooked letters or Cleveland but honestly... The room was excellent. It just felt good to be able to come back to this place given the state of mind I was in. The cleanliness problems with my room and what many other reviewers describe are staged and intentional by the cleaning crew. 9 out of 10 large bath towels had hair (curly hair that could be pubic hair, and long hair strains like from a comb or brush). I kept asking for towels and they would look clean, even new until we inspected them. Top of toliet seat was not clean when first checked into the room, and it was intentionally dirty in a way to not be missed. I always take clorox wipes with me and always clean all touchable stuff in the room; toliet included. Coffee maker had a long fine hair placed where you couldn't miss it..right where you would put a coffee pod, but I never use hotel coffee makers anyway. I clearly complained about the towels to no success. Had to dry off with hand towels as they were clean, no hairs. Left a tip anyway after the first night hoping to get better service the next day..Nope! Returned to the room that night and the lazy Maid took the cash and didn't even clean the room. I called about that and asked for clean towels....got hairy towels again. Had to use hand towels again. So next day, left no tip. When I got back later that night, entire room was stripped. Called the front desk and she didn't know what was going on. Moved me to another room which seemed fine except one of the beds had black pellets that looked like critter poop under one of the pillow...strategically placed. The other bed was clean. So I slept in that one. Didn't even complain at this point as I was checking out the next day. The cleaning crew clearly hates the GM because all of this makes him look bad as it looks like poor management but it's really sabotage at its best!!!

Then with no notification, my employer was informed, which caused my termination of my job! When I talked to the general manager she had been gone for several days and had no knowledge of the events that had transpired. Calling my superintendent on my behalf but the damage had already been done and I was already terminated from my unemployment. Many have said that I should seek legal action but I am contacting you as a first step. Never in my life have I have had this happen in an unprofessional manor. I was a guest. How could you allow this to happen without consequences seeing as I suffered then on your behalf. All I'm asking is how can you make this right?

We now nickname them the gang that can't manage straight. We have stayed at this hotel four times in the last 12 months since our last review and quality of furnishings continue to degrade. Our recent stay over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, and six weeks prior to that revealed a broken elevator. It seems Krishna management can't find anyone to fix the elevator. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem for the short term part time traveler. But for those unexpected travel with more things to haul, this can become a big problem especially if you're elderly or handicapped do you think someone at HG would take a look at Krista management once in a while to make sure they're doing your job right but it's pretty clear there's a little oversight. The staff continues to be friendly and cordial but quality overall is lacking. During our previous stay, six weeks earlier, we couldn't get anyone to clean the room, and when they did, the work was incomplete and sloppy We no longer recommend this hotel. There's a Hampton Inn across the street in the same town. Is the only other alternative for a major chain or brand name Hotel.
