This was by far the worst hotel motel whatever it is, that I have ever stayed at in my entire life. I stay at hotels around 2-3x a month. Not that I expected much, but walking in and getting the stale cigarette odor, to the room smelling like mildew and stale cigarettes, the bed cover smelled like body odor, and everything was just old and disgusting. They have some kind of food for breakfast, but I walked right by, assuming the kitchen area was as dirty as the rest of the place. I actually cancelled my Wyndham owned hotel stay scheduled for November as a result of this dump. Giant dump. read more

Just a not friendly feel from the moment you walk into the hotel. Our stay was ok. The breakfast area is just an extension of the lobby. Rooms were fair sized and since we were on the back of the hotel we avoided any noise from the street. read more

Not so great, actually. First, gentleman at front desk tried to overcharge me, he spoke broken English, took my phone out of my hand to read my confirmation number, got a non smoking room that reeked of cigarettes, cigarette burns in bed spread and on bathroom sink, only one little bar of soap for washing hands and showering, towels were as scratchy as sandpaper, was told nothing about an ice machine or vending or anything, very thin walls, I could literally hear everyone around me, I kept my tv on all night so I didn't feel like I was eavesdropping, there was no bag to put dirty laundry in and when I walked out of the room all I could smell was Marijuana. Even lower class places should take some pride in their business. This place clearly did not. read more

Clerk at check-in barely spoke to us so check-in was quick, with that said the non-smoking room smelled of stale smoke. It is a very dated hotel, especially in the bathroom which was very small. The breakfast area is in the lobby with extremely small selections, offerings are waffles, cereal, and breads for toast. Coffee was terrible and not hot. This is really too bad since it is convenient off of 95, but we will not be staying here again. read more

This place was not somewhere I will never be returning. I felt completely unsafe coming to the place and appalled that I had to pay for this horrible room. I walked in and thought it was okay but upon trying to take a shower I was appalled. One of the towels had loads of hair all over it. I got some sort of grease on my hand when I turned touched the shower knob. Then the water came out of both the shower head and tub faucet. There seemed to be mold on the ceiling above the shower. The deadbolt was broken so I felt even less safe. We smelled cismoke in our room despite neither us nor the people next to us were smoking. There was a hair in one of the beds. The person I was staying with and I felt extremely uncomfortable so we slept on top of the sheets. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! It is extremely worth the money to stay somewhere a little nicer. We stayed here on a road trip in May 2014 -- we had spent literally about an hour with me googling hotels/motels on my phone while my friend drove, and the reviews for this Super 8 on another website were mostly atrocious, even mentioning bugs and filthy bathrooms, with a few decent reviews thrown in. All the other hotels in the area were more expensive though, and we had been having good luck with Super 8's (they seem to be renovating many locations), so we decided to just stop by and have a look. We were very concerned about the smokiness mentioned on other reviews, but when we got there they had a big sign saying "smoking in non-smoking rooms will get you a big fine" (paraphrasing here) and we felt better. The motel seems to be making efforts to eliminate this smokiness problem. When we got to our room, none of the lights worked and it was too dark to even figure out why. The guy at the desk came and figured out that the main lights in the room weren't plugged in, and fixed it. Then, the fridge wasn't plugged in and was room temp, and we had leftovers to put in there, but we just plugged it in and it cooled off quickly, although it made a terrible whining noise -- maybe why the previous guests had unplugged it. I was really irritated at first, but we turned on the fan function of the heater and fortunately it drowned out the fridge noise. Other than those 2 things, the room was great. The beds were VERY comfy, clean, no issues there. And the bathroom was perfectly fine, clean, looked recently renovated. And finally, the breakfast was good -- Super 8's seem to all have a waffle maker, and a fresh waffle with coffee in the morning is quite nice. They also have fruity yogurt, toast, and cereal. We slept well after a long night of driving down from Canada, and for a decent price. I do recommend Super 8's. This experience reminded me that often, only angry people leave reviews. If I could give this motel no stars, I would. It was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. I ignored previous reviews thinking it couldn't be that bad and I regret it 100%. Right from the get go I was hit by a wall of cigarette smoke smell as soon as you walk inside. When you get into the hallway the smell gets even worse. We were in a non smoking room and even inside you could faintly smell it still. But apparently it was worse than we even realized as when we got home all of our clothes wreaked like an ash tray. The breakfast they offered was ridiculous. I went down at 8 AM only to discover everything was gone. No more waffle batter, only a few tiny cinnamon buns, and cereal but no milk. I did manage to get two small cups of watered down, warm "orange juice" though. The beds were uncomfortable and filthy. We didn't even feel comfortable using the sheets to the point we slept on top of them and used blankets we had brought along with us instead. The sheets were stained and disgusting. When we looked in the bathroom the tub was COVERED in hair. It was everywhere, I don't even know how that much hair got in any one spot, never mind missed. The tub felt literally broken. You could feel spots on the bottom of the tub that literally felt like your foot was going to go through it if you stepped the wrong way. The water pressure was pretty strong and it got hot. However sporadically the hot water would suddenly disappear and it would get cold and come back burning hot. I kept having to step out of the stream to avoid being burned. The worst part of all was when I went to use a towel. I took a folded "clean" towel off of the shelf beside the tub, unfolded it, went to use it and luckily I looked at it first! There were multiple pieces of blatant pubic hair attached to the towel! It was absolutely disgusting! If it was clean I want to know how that didn't come out in the wash! So gross! After the stay I filed a complaint and it was the most horrible customer service experience I've ever had. The manager was beyond unhelpful, he ignored several emails I sent and then one day decided to rapid fire call my phone 6 times in 6 minutes, allowing it to ring one time each time before hanging up. Any attempt to work with customer service outside of the location was even worse, to the point I will NEVER stay at a Wyndham owned property ever again. Please do yourself a favor and pay the extra to stay somewhere else. The little you'll save on staying here isn't worth it. I promise. read more

(score 1-100) - 50. Ok, this is a 2.5 star place but it is the BEST bargain and cheapest place to stay in the Augusta area. I've stayed here a few times (I have family in the area and frequently stay at multiple hotels/motels in the area) and it has always been clean and no issues. It is very moderate conditions, meaning its clean but very dated and will probably need to be updated soon. There is free wifi and the unique thing about this motel is all your rooms have outside door entrances. Meaning you don't have to go through a lobby. This maybe useful for people who have dogs who have to go out often or you might be one of those types who try to sneak your party of sixteen and pay only for one room... well this is the place for you! Just a bit better than tent camping. The room was well used,and very old. Needs a little TLC. Linens pretty threadbared as well as the towels. They do have very good Wii. Breakfast was Spartan. We actually went out for breakfast after seeing what they had. read more

I wish i could give this place 0 stars. I came here with my family for a place to stay for a night while we were visiting family. As soon as we walked in it reeked of smoke, even though it claims it's a non smoking motel. You can tell it used to be smoke friendly. As soon as you leave the lobby and enter the hallway where the rooms are located, the smell gets 10x worse. On top of that, it's sketchy as hell. reminds me of a horror movie. As soon as we entered the room, it had a musty smell combined with stale smoke (the entire facility reeks of this). Anyways moving on from the nasty smell, i took my shoes off and immediately put them back on because the floors were damp and gross feelings. The sinks pipes were leaking, there was a puddle of water before we even turned it on. The bath tub was extremely grimy and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while. There were burn holes in the blankets and burn marks on the carpet. The AC was broken. The mini fridge didn't even work. The only thing i cant complain about is the TV . Even one of the lights were out. And to top all of this off, we woke up the next morning to BED BUGS ! We immediately packed up our stuff and left. I told the front desk and they claimed they've never had this issue before even though other reviews i have read state they have had the same issue with finding bed bugs. They gave us 25% off the room and that's all ! It should have been free ! Please do yourselves the favor and spend the little extra money and stay across the street at the Hampton Inn. THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING AND NEEDS TO BE CONDEMNED ! Not to mention, the staff was extremely rude. Save yourselves the time and money ! Never again ! read more

We have stayed here twice and have enjoyed it very much. Clean, friendly staff and owners, central to the downtown, close to highway. I would recommend it highly. Best of all is it is quite affordable with good beds, WiFi, hot showers and tv. read more
