For most of that time, I lived in a rental house and didn't want to invest in a lawn tools, and found Ruben while he was cutting a neighbors yard. What a LUCKY FIND! I've since moved twice, and brought Ruben along every time. He is the MOST reliable person I've ever come across in New Orleans. If he says he'll he here every other Tuesday, he's here. In 5 1/2 years, he has never missed a day or been delayed (unless its pouring rain, obviously) and then he just comes the first dry day. He is so reasonably priced, and when I moved to this last house I asked a neighbors yard person to quote me on my yard... More than twice what Ruben charges me! Also, he has one worker that comes and helps him. It is the same person every time, so as a single lady living alone, I never have to worry about strangers coming into my backyard, or unknown "helpers". Ruben is just a kind, hard working guy. He gets an A+ in the following tasks 1) quick and reasonable appraisal 2) digging up 600 cubit feet of insanely dense roots and stumps both manually and with a sub-contracted bob cat 3) leveling an impossibly wonky backyard 4) being a professional. He let me know that the sand would be delivered around 8:00 am and he would be there around 10:30. He actually got to my place around 9:30 and his crew quickly got to work and had it done within the hour. I inherited my large water oak when I bought my home, and little did I know that I inherited all its problems as well. In 2021, after Hurricane Ida, another company told me my tree was dying, but rather than explain what that meant, they gladly trimmed a few branches at the cost of an arm and a leg. 2 years later, while sitting in my backyard, a huge branch snapped and remained dangling above my neighbor's yard. I called Robert from Louisiana Tree Company, and he was at my house within 15 minutes on a Saturday. He diagnosed the problem - the tree was rotting and had lived to the end of its lifespan. By the end of the same day, he sent a quote and even offered to cut the dangling branch down the next day. He also offered to get all the branches off before hurricane season and take the trunk down after hurricane season, to ensure the branches didn't snap off during a storm and gave the option to make two separate (very reasonable) payments. Once I agreed, Louisiana Tree Company was out at my house at the time they said they would be and got the job done safely and perfectly in 5 hours. I have called many tree companies over the past 3 years, and most of them are flaky, give a quote, and never call back. This company is a cut above the rest!!

Especially a tree that no one wanted to touch because it is between a power line, a swimming pool, a fence and a shed. Everyone backed away or over quoted us. Not Robert. He has a can - do super hero attitude. He has the confidence and experience to back it up. His quote was reasonable and he stayed in touch with us throughout the challenging process. First entergy had to come out to assess, that took about a week to get scheduled, then a first ever June hurricane decided to hit and pushed some jobs back, but Robert stayed on top of things and stayed in touch. He also emailed us his insurance info and certification. He is an arborist and licensed and he has no problem explaining everything. It took about 1.5 weeks for everything to be completed with all the crazy curve balls. His expert problem solving skills and dealing with such a dangerously located tree such as ours while keeping his sense of humor, remaining cool and professional throughout it all. His crew were equally brilliant and I am glad they weren't easily scared off to take on such a monster project. I couldn't have asked for better service.
