They have a few supplies, convenience items, ice cream bars, pop, and some frozen foods, etc. You can rent kayaks from them with a waiver. Rental returns are by 6:00pm. They also have motorboats for rental too. The cabin units are reasonably large. Our unit had two luggage racks. There was a kitchen table, good size fridge/freezer, range, toaster, coffee maker and even a kettle for tea, etc. The layout of the kitchen precludes room for a microwave apparently. The other accommodations other than the motel rooms do have microwave ovens. There was no bathtub but there was a good size walk in shower and quality toilet. I'd asked my spouse to ensure the unit had air conditioning as I have a skin rash malady. Apparently the booking site had incorrectly attributed the units with air conditioning. There are none on the property. That has now been updated to exclude air conditioners in the amenities listing. The desk clerk was very helpful and gave us two fans to use, one being a good size. Beds were comfortable, pillows great, and bedding modern and clean. There is laminate flooring in our unit and was in good shape. On the negative side the wifi is very slow and the tv streaming wasn't even worth the buffering and hassle. I did report it the morning we left. Maybe a technical issue, I don't know. Regardless I wasn't impressed though we all had cell data so not a big issue for us. Guests beside us were noisy early closing doors but hey, these are vacationers. The night was quiet. I rather think I was hoodwinked into believing the facility was more luxurious being called a resort and marina. It's far more basic with a very slow, relaxed vibe. I should have researched more I suppose. I won't be back but for laid-back vacationers with families with low expectations on modernity and upscale stays, it's probably great. The larger units would be better for families I'm sure. Parking was tight but there is a an additional lot not too far away. Restaurants are about 20 minutes away in Madeira Park. There might be a few closer ones in Garden Bay but the better choices are a little further out.

It isn't an uncommon occurrence for businesses to lose their mettle over the years, and let standards slip. However, I was stunned into silence when we arrived, as the owner of this motel actually raised her standards, instead of losing the plot. The grounds were immaculate. The rooms were like new despite the passage of time, and many guests over three years. There was just just one element to our stay that was less than endearing: our neighbours. On our first night, we chose to ignore all the noise next door, as we were extremely tired. On the second night, the noise commenced early in the evening, and by 11, it had worn us down completely. I wish I had approached the owner of the motel sooner, as she sorted out the problem instantly, and gave me her after hours number in the event the noise resumed. What a relief! Over three years later, and I still love this location very much. Highly recommended.

There is a pool and looking inside the pool, it looks clean and decent. The bathroom is a good size and is quite spacious. I am surprised that the rooms in the inn wasn't too hot. I think it helps when it is surrounded by lots of trees/greens. Yes there is no air conditioning in the rooms but they do provide a fan. One thing that surprised me was that there isn't a lot of cars parked in the parking lot but the inn itself was sold out and there are no frequency. Location wise is pretty good. It is about 15 mins walk to the seawall/Gibson Landing area. Drive to the ferry is about 15 mins. The room we stayed in came with a microwave, toaster oven, fridge, sink and two stove burners (that we didn't expect). Cutleries and plates are provided as well. The bed was not bad. It was comfy. Yes there is a TV in the room. I believe there are some long term tenants living in the inn and some short terms as well. We stayed here for 4 nights. Overall it was ok. This is a family ran business. I am guessing the family lives here. It was cute to see pet birds in a cage in the front. There is no room service here. If you requires towel or extra toiletries, you will need to request that. Overall, it was ok.

The guy on graveyard was super awesome. He came to the front desk right away at close to midnight. He offered $105 for a room with a queen bed and gave us directions to the room, walking us halfway there. Our room came with a kitchenette, and I learned all rooms here do. Hardwood floors with tile at the entry and bath. Room was clean, although a little rough around the edges. Some paint, replace the burnt out light bulbs and small repairs and it would be perfect. Nothing to complain about as we could still see in the bath. Bed was quite comfortable. We slept like logs. Toilitries provided were just shampoo, conditioner and bar soap but again, nothing to complain about for a small place and the price. Blow dryer provided but no hot air and after 15 minutes of trying to blow dry my short hair, I gave up. They have an outdoor pool, free wifi, free parking and some rooms have fireplaces. We didn't try out the pool. Close to the ferry and definitely would stay here again.

I have never been on the Sunshine Coast and looking at things I was passing by, I really didn't have any expectations. After a day of not getting much sleep, some good boozing, being on the water, and chilling out with good friends, I was exhausted, like give me a bed so I can shut down. We were guided to this place and was amazed the backside was facing Pender Harbour, but how good can this place be, I mean it's above a pub. One flight of stairs after checking in we went into our room, they provide you two keys, one for the front door of the building, the other for the room (no scanning card keys, get your mind out of the big city life!), and no elevator, just a flight of stairs. We were lucky to have a room facing the harbour, it was clean, roomy, and quiet. No carpets here, which I actually like, as you know that it's easier for the cleaners, and also for yourself to walk around and know there is no build-up in the fabrics. There was a regular box tv, two night tables with lamps, a desk, a coffee machine, and a full washroom with tub and shower. You really have to take your mind out of what you see, or have lived in today and to a simplier time of yesterday coming to a hotel like this, many will think it is a motel for the size of the building and the ammenities but for what your getting for the money your paying, it is really good. Free parking up front, a liquor store that is seperate from the pub downstairs, and a tranquil view that you don't get in the big city. The staff there were very friendly and we had a very good sleeping night. Some things of note on our stay, the water pressure on the shower head was a little weak, and the blinds on the window didn't come down (it was like a portrait view out of our room thought) thank goodness it was a gloomy day or the sunlight probably would have been shining bright and waking us up at 6 am, but it was just nice to lay there looking out the window. If your this far on the Sunshine Coast, want value for the buck I wouldn't hesitate staying here.

The hosts, Will and Sylvie were extremely friendly and accomodating, knowledgeable about the area, and very hospitable. Furthermore, the B&B is just a short walk from the ocean and feels very private. My wife and I plan on staying here again in the future and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape.

It seems that they are by nature open and receptive people, as we immediately felt welcomed. The location is a 3 min walk from the ocean. The Inn design and decor inspires calmness with it's clean lines surrounded by 5 story tall cedar trees. The Inn is built from cedar and that wonderful smell envelops you when you arrive; the windows are also framed in cedar- a very west coast look, the decor is Japanese Zen - including opaque 'rice paper-like' sliding doors between the kitchenette, the bedroom and the bathroom/spa rooms. I say bathroom/spa because it is like your own spa - but they do have an actual spa in the Inn with lots of great services-unfortunately we didn't make time to use them! The bathroom has double sinks, a steam bath shower- that's right, your own steam room in your bathroom!- and a tub for two or more with jet bubbles. The view from the bathtub, and the bed for that matter, is trees- just trees... you feel like you are in a tree house! There is a private patio for each room, ours had a glass roof, UV heater, bamboo water feature with pond plants, a love seat, chair and bistro table where we ate breakfast every morning. The breakfasts were filling and gourmet. The little touches such as a split basil leaf as a strawberry leaf on the berry garnish, allude to how much the hosts care about your experience. My gluten sensitivity was catered to without a hitch, nor did I feel like I was missing out because of it. We spend 3 nights there, could have spent a week. Although we were there in the summer- and the weather was perfect, I'd have no problem going there in the middle of winter as a retreat. I could have easily stayed in our room the whole three days- and that isn't just because I was on my honeymoon! ;-)

I stayed one day at the Gibsons Landing Inn on a recent business trip to the area…read more I found them on Expedia.com which provided pictures of the Inn including the rooms and an overview of their offerings. Let first say that what was written on Expedia and the photos were 100% accurate. It's a lovely Inn/hotel...the kitchenette was very big, with nearly a regular size refrigerator. My first thought was this room was bigger than my first studio apartment (many years ago). The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The room was also appointed with a couch, a table with two chairs, lots of closet space and a TV. They provided free WiFi which was mostly reliable and like the big hotels squeeze bottles of lovely scented shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the spacious shower. What the Inn has in spades is serenity...there was hardly any outside noise...if the sliding glass door(to the patio) is closed, you get relative silence...the AC provided me with just enough white noise to be a comfort. If you have them open you'll hear the ocean and the birds more than the cars...very lovely! Lastly, it's within walking distance of the harbor and "Main Street" of Gibsons including a cultural museum, an outdoor piano, as well as some of the bars and restaurants of Gibsons. My POV of hotels is colored by the fact that I'm a 9yr Hilton Diamond member and there are certain amenities that I've come to consider as a given that is somewhat jarring when they aren't available like at this Inn. 3 examples: -no iron or ironing board-a business person like me needs an iron and ironing board. -the limited amount of outlets. I used outlets on every part of the room to charge my watch, two cell phones and computer. -no black out curtains, while the blinds offered privacy...they couldn't block out the light (natural or otherwise). I didn't bring my eye mask because I just take it as a given at Hilton hotels they have blackout curtains. Lucky for me I was too tired for it to matter. Lastly, every interaction was done electronically. There is no "front desk" and there isn't a breakfast area (that I was aware of) so once you're check in, you're on your own. It's the perfect place for a movie star (under an assumed name) to stay...no one will see you come and go. The Gibsons Landing Inn is a modern, well appointed and lovely hotel/motel/Inn. More fitted for the needs of the tourists to the area than a typical business person. Still knowing what I know, I'll probably be back next time Im in the area.
