The six scenes are: the hookah smoking caterpillar; Alice holding her cat, with the Cheshire Cat in the background; the Queen of Hearts' frog servants; the Queen of Hearts; the Mad Hatter; and the White Rabbit. Nulu is stocked full of awesome and beautiful public art works. Thai Alice and wonderland rendering has added to that. So detailed, specific and well done. Everytime I walk by it I notice a detail that I haven't before. Overall a beautiful and wonderfully done piece of public art. I can see it becoming a favorite of many inside the city.

During this time, Irish peoples were frowned upon. Allow a German immigrant, they were forced to live a lower class of individuals too! Following Bloody Monday where Irish were forced to stay away from voting with their lives. The Germans had actual live ammunition fired upon them by angry citizens. But still he loved his new country and home! We have the ornate stone symbols to remember how much someone loved their country. This door has been relocated all that was left from the mighty Ohio River. It shows the symbols of freedom, literally liberty carved into it! The love that comes from a man's soul and spirit can still be enjoyed over 150 years later. Now if you are looking to remember your loved one. You could have a brick placed here forever more . When close to the Big Four Bridge and Ohio Water Park Front this is a must. It's on the road directly across from the Botanical Gardens. The flora is maintained by the Botanical Gardens of Kentucky. When in doubt always smell the flowers! Walk through the facade to find the other sides of life.

TikTok really has opened my eyes to hidden treasures everywhere. I'm sure that I'm not the only one…read morethat feels this way. When you doom scroll, you come across many different places that are true hidden gems. Door To Nowhere, or Heigold House, is definitely an oddity and salute to the past. Some housekeeping, you know, things to know about this place. BE CAREFUL. This sits on a roundabout island with steady traffic. Be mindful to the traffic flow and businesses nearby (I parked at a nearby business off the road and walked over here). Be kind to the natural beauty that surrounds this. And most of all, be respectful. As I said, this sits on a roundabout with flowerbeds surrounding it. Whether you are facing front, as in looking at the front of the façade, or looking from the rear, please stay on the sidewalks provided. Take in the informational plaques as well. Built by Christian H Heigold, a successful stonecutter. Majority of the house was completed in 1853. Heigold was a master at stonecutting and completed the home with busts of Presidents George Washington and James Buchanan. Heigold was also a staunch opponent of the 'Know Nothing Party,' and anti-immigration political party and I would like to think that he built his house with all the busts was a big middle finger to those that were anti-immigration. This façade sat in what was known as the The Point neighborhood, which was favored by those that moved to the city from the New Orleans area. Once Louisville diverted the Beargrass Creek away from downtown, this place started to flood annually. Shifting people away from the neighborhood and then the Great Flood of 1937 happened. Slowly the city started buying houses and demolishing them. Ultimately using the land as a dump site. Then this façade was listed on the National Registry of Historical Places. Remained in that area which became Thruston Park. That is until a developer bought the land adjacent to this and build condos. They moved this massive beast, 70,000-pounds, across River Road to where it sits today.

Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. The mural consist of a pair of boxing gloves with its angel halo (I assume created shortly after ali passing) and the left wing being a butterfly wing and the right wing being a bee wing. Very cool and unique. While the mural never mentions Ali name or the phrase or is obvious what the message is by the creative use of symbolism. Overall a great piece and while it's not very large and kinda hard to spot on the side of a building it may be one of my new favorite pieces because of the creativity.

The moral itself features musical instruments such as an electric guitar and musical notes with darker shades of black purple and blue. They also have some strong fairy lights at the top of the alley to give it a really nice and relaxing atmosphere. Overall a really cool and somewhat hidden area with a nice mural and a visually pleasing setup.

After visiting the website I learned a map is available to download. While downtown I visited the Louisville Visitors Center, which is near the Hyatt Regency, and I noticed a painted door I'd never seen before. I was so excited! Time to find more. Love the mission behind Alley Gallery, to support local art and beautify Louisville.

Located right next door to the patio lr a popular Mexican food eatery in that portion of town this mural gets lots of photos and serves as a backdrop for fun times and memories for others. Overall pretty basic but very well done and fun public art mural. Murals or art with anything wings (butterfly, angel, bird) always make for fun photo ups of standing in between the wings and pretending they are yours. So that happens a lot with this mural naturally.

This place is somewhat hard to find. It is located at the front of an apartment complex. The…read moreeasiest way to find it is to Park at or near the University Park Apartments leasing Office. The garden is facing the office, right across the parking lot. It is a very unique and historical place. It was built in 1921 and is located in what is known as the St. Jospeh's neighborhood, named after the former St. Joseph's Infirmary, which has since been demolished. The Grotto and Garden and one of the few remaining pieces of the infirmary. it was designated as a Local and State Historical Landmark in 2001. The garden is maintained by volunteers known as the Grotto Grannies. The grotto is well maintained and designed to be a peaceful place to reflect and pray. It is a beautiful brick structure full of little murals, and flowers (especially during the spring and summer) that has a religious foundation. The Grotto was designed based on a similar place in France, where Bernadette Soubirous is said to have seen apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1858. There is a bench that you can sit there and people have placed their own personal memorial and prayer request there. It is a hidden gem and a must visit if you are in Louisville.

It's super close and easily walkable from the Indiana side of the bridge. If you're looking for something really interesting to check out, this spot definitely checks the box!

This location shares a spot with two other cool sights in the NoCo story time attraction and the NoCo wildflowers murals that surround the tower. Right across the street is "the depot" and "Picasso Pointe" which are very cool places to take in vibrant art and relax or let the kids run wild. Overall extremely cool place. The whole NoCo area I'm excited for to see where it goes and how it grows. I've definitely found a new spot to take my kids and spend a day at.

A bunch of twisted piping that at the beginning of it says the words "Louisville". I'm not sure the purpose or what it represents and after the words Lousiville it's kinda a mess and hard to determine what the design is. Overall it's still a unique piece to the city and kinda cool. In a weird spot so I'm not sure how much exposure it gets as the one way street people usually have merged on the expressway before hitting the underpass.
