With the boat tours they tell you exactly when to show up. The computers have all your details and if there's a problem or if you have questions, they help you and are very professional about it. Your ticket is clear- which boat number and trip you're on. They make announcements ahead of time and it's in an orderly fashion. Once on the boat, it's party time. They have different styles of boats depending on your trip but they all are clean and operated by professionals. I'm saying this a lot because when safety matters, you want to know that people are trained for their jobs. We had a highly skilled captain, very entertaining and informative tour guide and many helpful deckhands. We snorkeled (clean equipment), bird watched, saw many whales, sea turtles and went to a secluded beach. All food and drinks provided were tasty and abundant. We arrived back at port safely and highly enjoyed our excursion. If we had more time, we would have done more.

Our swim was VERY interactive and hands-on and they spent a lot of time explaining dolphin behavior. My dolphin's name was Paco, a 7-year-old male. My girlfriend's dolphin's name was Shany, she was a 30 year old female. The trainers we had were absolutely AMAZING!!! For an additional $30 we were also able to book a swim with the sea lions. The entire staff was extremely helpful and thoughtful. We had such a great experience with the dolphin swim that before we left we booked our next adventure to Rhythms of the Night. This was yet another fantastic experience. The boat ride there and back were both a complete blast. Dinner on the island was more than we expected. The show itself blew us away. We will definitely be booking with them when we return to Puerto Vallarta!

We were provided with neck gaiters, goggles and helmets. This was a private tour, so just two of us and our guide and a photographer/videographer. (NOTE - make sure you take some photos of your own along the way). So much better than a slow dusty caravan of the group tours. Then, off we went! The first bit of the ride is through city streets to get to the road up the mountain. The cobblestones of PVR gave way to dirt roads and some paved areas at smaller towns along the way. After an hour or so, we stopped at a small bar/restaurant and enjoyed a beverage by a waterfall. We had a great conversation with Agustina about traveling. The road up the mountains has some holes and some puddles so you have to pay attention, and we occasionally encountered some traffic (mostly other ATV tours or buses) and a bull, a donkey, a cat, and several dogs. The speed bumps in the residential areas can sneak up on you, too! The views of the mountains are beautiful and you spend a lot of time running along the Cuale River. We always felt safe and Augustina was a fabulous leader!! When we returned to the office, the videographer had compiled our video and photos to review on the computer. The price was a bit silly $1500 pesos ($100US) for either the photos or the video, $2000 pesos for both. So, we passed on that. We have already recommended the tour to fellow travelers and would even take the same tour again ourselves. Highly recommend!!

It put first timers like us at ease. We first traveled through town and small communities. We made our first stop at a restaurant alongside the water to jump in and have margaritas! I would 100% recommend this tour. Thank you Sergio !

We met at their office and then set out on ATVs for a 45 minute ride up the mountain. Once at the top, there was a very rustic restaurant, where we were encouraged to order drinks and food, then we set out for the zipline part of the tour. We were given brief instructions by Oliver the tour leader, such as how to hold our bodies when on the line, how to brake and when to not brake. Each zipline had a 'stopper' (a poorly constructed folded over piece of vehicle tire secured with duct tape) at the landing platform, with a worker to grab you and help you disconnect from the line. There were nine lines, and on the eight line, the longest one and over a river, I had an unspeakably terrible accident. About two-thirds of the way down this line, the worker on the platform gave me the braking signal. I proceeded to brake as hard as I possibly could (I work out/lift weights daily and am quite strong) as I headed to the landing platform. Upon approach, the 'stopper' was either not there or not functioning and the worker did not catch me. I hit the pad on the tree at the platform right-foot-first and saw my ankle dislocate and break in two places. I started screaming while rotating in the air in my harness. I was eventually lowered to the ground, screaming for help, an ambulance, medical attention, anything. There was no help to be had. They had to hook me back up to the zipline and two workers held me as they ziplined me to the final platform and carried me back to the restaurant and sat me down. Again, there was nobody there to help me and they had to put me in a full-size ATV with Oliver driving me and my husband 45 minutes back down the mountain over treacherous ruts and bumps that sent me screaming every time my ankle moved. I was taken to an area hospital, and while I lay screaming in the emergency room, Oliver the tour leader and his female associate stood there staring at the harness I was still wearing and asked the nurses if they could remove it from me so they could take it with them. Moving even a centimeter had me screaming again, even with an IV of painkiller that was now hooked up to me. Eventually, the nurses cut it off and gave it to Oliver and his associate. As they left, my distraught husband was offered 170 pesos (about $9USD) for a taxi back to our hotel. No apologies. I had emergency surgery where I was implanted with a titanium bracket and nine screws, then had to remain in the hospital for three nights. Recovery will be long and painful. Wild Trek Adventures is an extremely unsafe operation and I urge anyone reading this to find a different tour company.

My email reservation confirmation stated clearly it was included- they then sent a response after we complained with a Spanish version of an email and stated our tickets didn't include the payment. So disappointing that they wouldn't do anything even with a copy of the email in person. They completely stated a differed response and stated they hand typed the "wrong" information into our original reservation receipt email. How is that our fault that they sent an email that clearly states our tickets didn't include included payment then collected the amount again stating we had to pay again if we wanted to go on the tour.

Get off the bus sign paperwork. Get on another shuttle. Show up at the park and they led you to the vehicles. They kind of explained quickly how to drive the vehicle. It's all automatic. It's pretty invigorating the winding pass. But once again, really no comments about anything. You end up at the waterfall and you have to walk down a very steep embankment to take some nice photos after crossing the largest vehicle bridge. Once you return back, they have a restaurant that you can buy your lunch at and they give you an hour to spend there. There was a tequila tasting, but again there was no direction it was located in other area and we did not know about it until we left. It was a great experience for memories, but it definitely could be better in the sense of trying to explain to people what is going on instead of just going two point a to B to point C.

The food was delicious, my daughter loved playing in the river, and we got to hold a toucan, a lemur, and a marmoset. Overall, a fantastic experience at a reasonable price! Our guide told us "go order your food, then go enjoy your photos with the animals while you wait for your food" this was smart advice. I am not one that is a huge fan of animals, but I will say that the staff was very friendly and really was patient with us and the animals. The food was amazing! It may be a little pricer than other areas, but you are paying for the experience with the animals too. There is no cell reception at this location, and there are signs to swim at your own risk in the water below the restaurant. I really wish I could have done a canopy tour that included the zip lining as it looked awesome from afar! But I was still happy to settle for eating sat the restaurant and interacting with the animals. Pro tip: if you're American and paying with a credit card with no foreign transaction fees, be sure to have them charge you in pesos to your card. You'll thank me later

The staff is incredibly attentive and welcoming from the start. Fair warning: the drinks start flowing around 9am, so pace yourself and bring lots of sunscreen -- the sun + cocktails add up quickly. The booze selection is pretty generic, but plentiful, and the snacks along the way are appreciated. The fajita lunch was solid and hit the spot after a morning on the water. Shoutout to Ricky Ricardo, truly the hostess with the mostest -- high energy, fun, and kept the vibe going all day. Luis was also fantastic, constantly checking in and somehow remembering everyone's names, which made the experience feel very personal and welcoming. They even slowed the boat down so we could watch whales, which was a highlight, and having a photographer on board was a nice touch to capture the day. The music on the ride home was a little outdated, but honestly... it just turned into a dance party anyway -- especially once the tequila shots started making the rounds. All in all, a great excursion with a fun crowd, attentive staff, and memorable moments. Easy 4 stars and a solid choice if you're looking for a lively day trip while in Puerto Vallarta.

The breakfast on the way there was an assortment of fruit and mini muffins. The lunch was fajitas which we really enjoyed. I loved that everyone had to wear a life jacket for the first 10 minutes of the ride as I was initially nervous about the ride. After the 10 minutes are up, we had the option of continuing to wear the life jacket or take it off. All the instructions they gave were in both English and Spanish. One of the highlights on the way there was the whale watching. We saw a couple of them and it was so cool because it's the very end of the season, so we won't be seeing them again for a few months. Once we got the the island, we had some really good chips and guacamole. There were a few different excursion options for an additional cost. such as hiking to the waterfall, going horseback riding, or driving ATVs. Not sure what the cost for those were. We enjoyed snorkeling in the ocean and swimming in the shallow pool with a bar attached for easy access. I highly recommend this tour. We definitely got our money's worth and more!
