Pros: -6 Hammer Strength power racks with bumper plates…read more-Friendly staff Cons: -It gets extremely crowded to the point where lines form at the machines, ruining your workout, yet they do not increase their prices to accommodate what the facility can handle. I assume that prices need to be about doubled to get the clientele down to what the facility can handle. -They do not fix or replace machines as needed. They have two smith machines, and one of them sticks to the point where you can't use it for most exercises, so everyone waits in line for the only working smith machine while the other one stays empty. A few of the other machines have the grip coming off which exposes a sticky glue substance which gets on your hands as soon as you start the exercise -They do not bolt the equipment down (including the power racks and benches) so it gets crooked which throws off your lift -They do not provide enough dumbbells for the classes. I do not go to the classes myself, however, when a weight class is about to start, multiple people (around 5-10) will take all of the dumbbells ranging from 5lbs-25lbs from the main gym leaving the gym without those dumbbells for the duration of that class (about an hour)

This gym is honestly just fine. There's not many gyms in Livermore (there's only this one, 24H, and…read moreAnytime Fitness). You kind of get what you pay for. I've never had any negative interactions with the patrons here - definitely a high volume of high schoolers that come in and out of the space. Staff are fine too, they say hi when you come in and bye when you come out. The bathrooms are definitely gross and outdated, and sometimes there's not enough wipes around, but overall it's decent. I ended up deciding to cancel my membership as they installed new blue lights, which are pretty jarring for my eyes.

I've been a member at CrossFit 580 for about 7 months now and have really been enjoying it. I've…read morebeen doing CrossFit for close to 10 years (got hooked when I lived in Hawaii), and after moving to the Tri-Valley area, I had a hard time finding a gym that felt like the right fit. I tried the other CrossFit gyms around Livermore/Pleasanton and honestly became pretty disenchanted with the gym scene out here. I ended up just doing garage workouts for a while, but realized I really missed the community and energy of being in an actual gym environment. I finally decided to check out CF580, and I'm so glad I did because it's easily become my favorite gym in the area. What stands out to me most: - Programming - The workouts are challenging enough that you always leave feeling like you got a solid workout in, but they're also approachable for all fitness levels. - Community - Strong community feel with social events throughout the year, which makes it easy to get to know people outside of class. - Low ego environment - I've been to gyms where the members are not the friendliest, and I think that usually reflects gym ownership/culture. At 580, people are genuinely welcoming. You'll see all fitness levels here, and everyone is supportive and motivating. - Class schedule - Love that they offer Sunday WODs, which not every gym does. The weekday 5am and 6am classes are also great and provide more flexibility. I've also never had issues getting into class or being stuck on a waitlist. - Family friendly - I have two little ones and have brought them with me to class. There's a small weight room in the back where kids can hang out with toys/snacks, and there's even a TV back there to keep them entertained. - Knowledgeable coaches - All the coaches are experienced, friendly, and supportive. My regular coaches are Steve, Brad, and Nicole and they are SUPER! - Great owner - DJ was welcoming and personable from day one. He even comped my first AND second classes so I could really try the gym out before committing. Oh, and he often leaves out fruit every day, which I've never seen another gym do! Such a thoughtful touch. - Military discount - My husband is active duty military, and I really appreciate that they extend the military discount to spouses too. Not all gyms around here offer that, and some don't offer military discounts at all. Overall, I'm really glad I finally found a gym that feels like the right fit. Thanks, DJ and the CF580 team! Appreciate all of you very much!

I've been to a lot of gyms, and unfortunately this is one of the worst experiences I've had--not…read morebecause of the equipment, but because of the people and the management. The gym culture here is incredibly inconsiderate. Members regularly leave weights scattered everywhere without re-racking them, making it frustrating and unsafe for others trying to work out. There's a noticeable sense of entitlement--people act like basic gym etiquette just doesn't apply to them. What really pushed things over the edge for me was the cleanliness, especially in the restrooms. On more than one occasion, I've walked into stalls that were absolutely disgusting--unflushed toilets and, unbelievably, feces left on the toilet seat. That's beyond unacceptable for any facility, let alone one people pay to use. Management is also a major issue. The manager, Joe, doesn't seem to take complaints seriously. Calls go unanswered, and there's little to no follow-up when issues are reported. It feels like concerns are ignored rather than addressed. Overall, this gym has potential, but until management enforces basic standards for cleanliness and member behavior, I wouldn't recommend it.
