I have absolutely no complaints and my Son is ecstatic with his fitting and his new clubs. The $100 fitting fee was well worth the $ and is an excellent value, especially as the outcome has my Son in new irons he is very pleased with and dramatically increased his performance by the end of the fitting. That doesn't mean it's the best around or that it's high end. It just means that I prefer it over a lot of other courses. My reasoning for this is based off of a few things. Please read on to understand why I live it but it's not five stars 1. The location from where I live is just wonderful. If I am on my way home from work and I have some free time it's only a mile away. 2. $10 to walk. Need I say more. 3. It's short. By that I mean I can get the front nine done in about an hour. 4. Confidence. Again it's short. If you want to feel good about your game early in the season then play here. The first three holes are par 4's that you can reach the green in one. 5. Practice. A lot of times it's not packed with people so if you want to play extra shots to get some practice in you can. 6. Hazards. There is not a lot to scare you. No water minimal tree obstacles and no sand.(also a negative) 7. Low scores. This goes right back to confidence. You can shoot low scores and it feels good. Now the negatives. If you have read this far you will already know the knocks on this place. I will list them quickly below. 1. Hazards. If you want a challenge find another course. 2. Club house. Nothing to brag about here. 3. Amenities. This is not a fancy place and it doesn't offer a lot. It has what you need to play golf and that to me is perfect. 4. Dry. When the weather gets dry this place gets brown. No pounds to draw from or rivers to pump out of makes it hard to water. 5. Getting to the back nine. To cross the road to the back nine can be a challenge and dangerous. Don't play at 5 pm. Again I love this course but I have to be honest about it. There is a lot to like but it lacks a lot that some might need. I for one am simple when it comes to golf. Give me a course, my clubs and someone to play with. Maybe a beer or two also. If you want a great place to play and you only have a little time stop in and play nine.

I drove about 25 minutes from work on my lunch hour (took an extended lunch). He shows up about 30 minutes late (I was on my way out) and he said he got a flat and that it was no big deal, we could do it another time. He never called GG to tell them to let me know he wasn't going to make it back and to reschedule. Fat coward three years until this week. I stopped back in and scheduled a golf lesson. He looked in his book and said he was open at 10am on Sunday 1-6. I drive there from my house (about 35 minutes away) and walk in the door only to be told by Craig that he made a mistake and it was supposed to be next Sunday. Apparently he is the only one who's time is valuable. Stay away, he will screw you too.

All in all, I was satisfied with the facilities and the price point. Absolutely nothing preventing me from a return visit. But, first I need to get him some lessons as it's been 20 years since I played and I do not want to teach him my bad habits.

There is also a driving range and putting / chipping practice area. I would recommend walking or pull cart, but they have golf carts if you want. I come here often when I am in town as it is a quick way to get some golf in, and bring friends for some casual golf.
