Kids go through bullying and the staff and principal are not helpful when it comes to that kind of situation. Also your child is set up to fail! My daughter made D's and F's for 3 years straight. No matter If she turned in all of her homework or school work the grades never changed they even went far as putting her on a IEP. I pulled her and put her in private school and my daughter never needed the IEP not to mention she is now making A's and B's, never made a grade as low as a C since she has been removed. Parents stand up for your children pull them out if you have to. Your child deserves a successful future!

My son is currently in 8th grade. He has been attending Carwise since 6th grade. It has offered him a safe and caring environment where he can learn and grow. He enjoys school and does not complain. He has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to take advanced courses and even high school level courses. This isn't something that private schools can easily offer because of the limitations of staff and class size (our experience). At Carwise he's in a classroom full of his peers taking advantage of the opportunity to take advanced classes. We have had the opportunity to meet with teachers and staff as well as nurse, the security officers, principal and counselors and they have all been very helpful and supportive. Having a son with a severe peanut allergy adds to the concerns of a parent and this school has been very good for our son and has put those concerns at ease. Our son also got involved in a team sport. It was fun and challenging. When we enrolled our son it was B rated. It has been an A rated school since. I do wish the car line moved faster. It lags and this is a minor drawback.

Sadly, it's needed as there are too many unpredictable situations out there now! I went into the main office and noticed the latest communications systems installed. As we walkd to our car off the school grounds, There were teaches out on the walkways, insuring safety and direction for the children walking home. There are many Pros and Cons about this school as I'm sure there are with any school. Personally, we have had some ups and downs at this school that have left me feeling a bit off put by it. (But that was our personal exp) There is a mixture of teachers. Some are EXCELLENT! If you are lucky enough to get one of these thank your lucky stars. If not, hold on for a bumpy school year. The ones who really care about education and not just having a pay check are the ones that shine at this school. And sadly are not the ones usually recognized either. The office staff for the most part are wonderful! There are a few you'd like to bop on the head. Mostly helpful and polite. There is usually a volunteer in the front office helping out as well. There is a full time nurse in site who takes care of everything medically related. The school is clean, like any place in Florida there are bugs but not from dirt. They repaint it the same ole boring colours of cream and turquoise. But the district only allows for a choice between two colours. There is a gym/cafeteria/auditorium. There is a huge back PE area. Field, court and playground. All is fenced in and locked up when school is in. The only way you can get in is through the front office with an ID in hand. There is a library, which is always in need of gently used books. There is a media center and a computer lab. There is no pre-school offered but there are special needs ISD classes. Limited parking in three lots. One of them is mainly teacher parking off to the side of the school. One of front and one in the back by the car circle. You can come have lunch with your kiddo which is pretty cool and they are always looking for volunteers for various things.

Teachers are typically very quick to respond to emails as well which is appreciated. School runs VPK through 5th grade. Located within the Calusa Trace neighborhood. Like with any school we have our complaints about minor things such as better communication. There have been improvements since we started going here. I've served on the PTA and the Board for a few years and cherish those times. The school doesn't do candy or gift wrap fundraisers like many others in the area, they are more focused on fitness and hold a yearly fun run to raise money for the school. This is difficult given it's hard to ask for money when people aren't getting anything tangible. But the school tends to do quite well. The carline runs smooth and fast for drop off and pickup. The back parent parking lot is very crappy -- it's Hillsborough County owned so understand the school has no control but they should look at asking the county to pave it. It's dirt and not even. When it rains the parking lot gets flooded. Not good for people to be walking through. If you're looking for a good elementary school for your child I do recommend Schwarzkopf.

When we purchased our new home, we moved school districts. Of course we were a bit nervous but in no time at all we felt right at home. The faculty is out of this world. They genuinely care about their students. When we drop our boys off each morning, everyone is smiling and taking the time to safely get the kids out of the car. My son's 2nd grade teacher is so kind, patient and full of life. The Extended Day VPK program is amazing and very affordable. Just make sure you get on the waiting list ASAP - it fills up fast! My son in VPK has also been doing speech therapy at Schwarzkopf. I've been moved to tears at the progress he's made in 6 short months. Seriously, the faculty here is straight out of a fairytale. I also love that the school is tucked back in Calusa Trace. It's away from all the busy roads and feels very safe. This is a uniform school but nothing too strict. Collared shirts and khakis or jeans. If it's cold, they can wear any jacket and they often host non uniform days for $1. They also do other fun things to keep the kids happy and engaged like spirit days, dress up like a 100 year old for the 100th day of school, PJ day. We are so happy to be a part of the Schwarzkopf family. I firmly believe God spent a little extra time on this school and the amazing people that fill the walls within it.
