So, along with the fun and unique "seaside" period atmosphere, its size and the fact that this part of Disney isn't crowded had a lot to do with our enjoyment of Disney's BoardWalk. There's a black-and-white photo inside the BoardWalk Inn of the Three Stooges during an appearance at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City in 1938. To me, that photo encapsulates the time period and atmosphere that I think Disney aspired to recreate at the BoardWalk, and I think Disney was successful, for the most part. Aside from the Inn (and the Innkeeper's Club), highlights here include the Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, Screen Door General Store (for exclusive BoardWalk merch), and Atlantic Dance Hall (cool they have this art-deco music venue here).
