He was a lot more personable than most and didn't slap me with a bunch of overpriced package deals. He worked so well with us and I am very satisfied with my choice. We were looking for a photographer who would accommodate our family of 8 and not overcharge like most places. Daymaker was it! They were on it from the beginning working with our schedule and even met us at our location. The photgrapher was very nice and polite. He took many great pictures and did not only limit us to 20 or less like most places in the area. We received our pictures back in just a few weeks as promised and they turned out great. I would highly reccommend them to any family visiting the area that is just really wanting a a good amount of captured memories and at a very fair and reasonable price. Thank you for making our first beach family photos a great experience!

I recently booked a family photography session with this photographer and, unfortunately, my…read moreexperience did not meet expectations. During the session, there was very little guidance or direction provided for posing. We chose this photographer specifically because of her advertised expertise in sunset beach photography, so we were expecting more structure and creative input to help capture our family in the best possible way. When we received the final gallery, we were disappointed with the overall quality of several images. The sunset--one of the main reasons we booked--was barely visible or lacked the vibrant colors we anticipated. In fact, some photos we took ourselves on our phones captured the sky more vividly. Additionally, several images appeared soft or lacked sharpness, particularly around the eyes, which made them feel unusable. It was very clear the photos were edited using AI tools. To her credit, the photographer acknowledged that some of the issues were due to moisture affecting her lens during the session. She offered either a complimentary reshoot or a 30% refund. While I appreciate the effort to address the situation, neither option fully resolves the disappointment--especially since we are not local and cannot easily return for a reshoot. None of the prints are worth printing. It was very disappointing as this was our first family photography session with my new granddaughter. Overall, while the photographer was professional in communication, the final product did not reflect the level of quality we expected based on her portfolio and pricing. I would recommend that future clients clarify expectations around posing, editing style, and contingency plans for technical issues before booking.

We met at Henderson Beach State Park an hour before sunset. Hendricks charges $5 per car to enter. We had 2 cars. Upon meeting photographer Mari she told us that she had to rescheduled. She had accidentally left her camera equipment on her front porch. She said something about her dogs. She gave us $10 to cover our parking fee. We then discussed rescheduling. She mentioned sunrise or sunset. With small children we stayed with sunset. Keep in mind that our entire day had been planned around the photo session. We ended up rescheduling for July 4th. The only sunset slot she had available. Not really what we wanted to do on 4th of July. Mari mentioned "she would make it worth our trouble". At the rescheduled appointment it was raining. We where able to get photo session in. I had written out a check for balance but also brought another check because I assumed she would deduct something off of our balance due. When I asked her, she informed us that we would get a free 8x10. Seriously? My family and I all where surprised by this. When you pay over $700 for session and digital photos, we expected her to reduce the cost. We felt like we lost a day of our vacation due to rescheduling. Scheduling kids naps, dinner etc that normally would have been on such a tight schedule. Regarding the photos. Some photos are amazing and others the color is off. Some of the photos are teeth look yellow and the colors are way to bright. I believe it's the editing. We didn't have the selection of awesome photos I was expecting. I understand that mistakes happen. My thoughts are Mari didn't come close to making up for her forgetting her camera equipment and us having to reschedule by giving us an 8x10 photo!!
