Hands down the best beach in Oregon!!!! You can drive on this beach also. Seriously, what's not to love about this place?! I want my ashes sprinkled here.

Wonderful beach.

Wonderful beach. Drive on if you have 4wd or if you have front wheel drive. We found tons of sea dollars...the waves rolled softly in and people are pretty calm and respectful. A beach tent if some type is good as a windbreak...great place for kids to run and play!!! Keep your speed down though...saw my first ever beach citation today.

A very cool drive up beach. I recommend having a four or all wheel drive vehicle before deciding to drive on the beach though it's not required. Would be a fun hangout spot with pets and friends! Saw some people parasailing from a truck.

Excellent beach ! Driving on the beach is great, just don't go too close to the water and away from deep soft sand!

Absolutely stunning views. *Privacy in campgrounds: 1 star You will enjoy no separation from neighboring campsites. Enjoy dinner with all other surrounding sites staring at you! Plus, if tent camping, you can hear the neighbors whisper. *Cleanliness of campsite: 5 stars Not a piece of trash in the campsite. Was well cleaned. *Location of restrooms/showers: 4 stars Took less than 2 minutes to walk to the restrooms/showers located in the center of the loop. *Cleanliness of restrooms: 3 stars Not good, not bad. Floors haven't been swept in a long time. Everywhere is sticky. *Cleanliness of showers: 1 star F-loop showers were NASTY. Fishing lure in the drain, hair on the walls, gum stuck to the floor, diapers left inside. WEAR SHOES WHILE YOU SHOWER. E-Loop showers next door were much, much more reasonable. *Noise: 1 star Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am. However, it is not enforced. Every single other camper quieted down around 10pm. Except for one exceptionally loud group who continued to be loud and obnoxious until midnight. We were harassed by this group but didn't have a problem with anyone else. July 31 - August 2, 2025 - Warrenton, Oregon…read more Location wise, this park is just across the road from Fort Stevens, so that is a definite plus. This is a great RV park for children--so many activities. Two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), miniature golf, daily craft activities, large chess and checkers, bouncy trampoline, etc. The campsite has two large stores, and it is a very lively place. Like I said, great for kids. If you want a more quiet camping experience, this is not the place for you.

It has been several years since I have been able to stay at this particular KOA. The check-in was reasonable. The signage is in need of updating. There are arrows on the ground, indicating which direction where people should drive for direction. But no signs that say do not enter. Our space was reasonable. Our next-door neighbor pointed out that in his opinion all KOA seem to have the sewer drain higher than the front of the RV. Which leads to difficulty and draining your tanks at times. The indoor pool was nice although a bit cold for my liking. The hot tub was very appropriately warm. It did have a very strong chlorine smell, and my two grandchildren ended up coughing from the chlorine gas. The website indicates that there is Wi-Fi throughout the park. What that means is that there is Wi-Fi at the different buildings but not at the sites. The staff was friendly. Some of the staff Did not seem to be very motivated though. The facility is showing signs of where and there seems to be deferred maintenance that has occurred. It makes me concerned that if obvious things that are needing to be addressed are being missed then what else is being missed. My four year-old grandchild ended up getting his head stuck between the slats of the fence by the jump blimp activity. It wasn't until after I took a look that I realized that the slats are quite wide and are an accident waiting to happen. I'm wondering if there's a county code that Should be followed for this. Especially for how many young kids are running around this place. We were interested in the breakfast here. It took us a while to figure out that three flats and two sticks is pancakes and bacon. When I finally did go to the restaurant, they were serving what looked to be some pretty awesome biscuits and gravy. I asked a couple who were having that for breakfast how they raided it And they gave it a 10 out of 10. I love biscuits and gravy and if I would've been clued in that this was available. I would've been there the very first day and possibly the second day that we stayed. I understand that the vendor is not a KOA employee, but they are Using the same facilities so I'm lumping both of these two together. When I did look up the restaurants website it wasn't clear to me that all of the espresso flavor choices were at their seaside location and not at the KOA location. I was very bummed because I wanted a vanilla latte this morning. I did get a very good cup of coffee though so I guess there's that.

From where we started at Pier 39 to almost the very end at the Port of Astoria, we continually stopped along the way whenever I would notice a spot park or pull over to be able to take beautiful pictures of the landscape and waterfront. I absolutely loved that there were wildlife either Sea Lions or Harbor Seals are laying around any kind of dock or floating device that they could and that you could hear them loud and clear. I didn't take my large camera with exchangeable lenses so I couldn't zoom in too much but seeing and hearing them made my heart happy. The views are just beautiful and worth the extra time to stop.

August 1, 2025 - Astoria…read more We walked the boardwalk along the river today. There are a few businesses scattered along the way, but the area is still mostly lined with industrial buildings. There are plenty of spots to pause and take in the view of the Columbia, and many trolley stops along the route. I would've liked to hop on the trolley, but we had our dog with us. We walked to where Buoy Beer Company once stood before the building collapsed. It's still there--fenced off, of course. What a shame. The Buoy warehouses remain, though. We had lunch at Astoria Brewery, where they have an outdoor patio--perfect for sitting with our pup. Afterward, we walked over to the Maritime Museum (admission is $18), but didn't go in since we had the pup with us. We checked out the Nordic Heritage Park, which highlights Astoria's huge Scandinavian influence in the late 1800s and early 1900s. We also went to the Garden of Surging Waves which gives tribute to contributions of the Chinese to Astoria.
