A line formed behind me. After several minutes she told me to step to the next register as she was on that. The one in front of me was not closed off with a sign but I stepped over. I was purchasing a chef's salad. I asked for 2 french dressing packets. She told me there would be a .70 cent charge after the first one. She was not polite but matter of fact to the point. I told her in all my years this was the first time I heard this and was she new? She said no, she has been there over 3 years on night shift and if other staff was giving me 2 packets they were ripping off the store. I have never seen this girl before. She was just rude to me. So I will take my business next door from now on. Her name is Bri.

VYC is one of the oldest clubs in the area, I think its even pushing 80! Thankfully, it still looks great. The clubhouse is beautifully maintained and is a gorgeous event space. Some important things to note: there's no private pool or private restaurant at VYC, like most local area clubs. VYC is all about the quiet atmosphere, and its better that way. The indoor/outdoor seating areas of the clubhouse are great places to read, have a glass of wine and just enjoy the boats on the channel. VYC remains untouched by rowdy guests and excessive noise, which is a gem in itself. VYC embraces the vintage Commodore classiness of old-school Yacht Clubs. For guest docking, you can spend time at the VYC if your vessel is under 80 feet drawing 10 feet or less. Guests can have dock spots on the river wall or in temporarily vacant slips. If you're not a member, but looking for a charming town to dock and visit, definitely keep VYC on your shortlist!
