All outside pump lanes were "closed"but the nasty lady doesn't take into account that people's tanks are on different sides of the vehicles which forces cars to enter from different directions. She then screams at anyone and everyone about what she thinks they are doing incorrectly, tells them what to do (which wouldn't work), then gets more upset about being wrong. I could excuse her behavior, but it appears she has been doing this to many others for far too long and nothing is done. Her behavior is unsafe and I sincerely hope there are no accidents or if there is one, that no human is seriously injured. Went to discuss with mgmt, appears that the staff is not even given the resources to assist with issues regarding the attendant and it is a well know issue. This place closes early, around 9pm in the winter. Make sure you fill up during the day. Should be illegal, as it is the only place within 10 miles that pumps gas on the island. I get that jersey requires gas station attendants, (I've lived here my whole life) and it's not even the lady who screams at dumb tourists, but at least stay open until 10:30 you make a enough money price gouging for gas. read more

Time for the 'ol trusty default three star Yelp gas station check list: Good price? Yep, as it's currently thirty cents less per gallon than what I'm paying at home in PA! Did I trip over any random tire shards, radiator parts or left behind wing nuts? Nope as things were clean as a whistle and smelling like a gas station. Easy on/off to the highway/road of my choosing? Not really as this station is very much on the smaller side and when things get busy it's a bit of a PIA to get in/out or close to the pumps from either the 34th Street side or from the West Avenue side. Never have I complained about an employee but my recent trip to this Sunoco, I went to fill up my gas and being from pa I naturally go to full it myself. I immediately received an attitude from a female gas attendant there named Josie. Also closed my door a couple times exclaiming the area needs to be clear, understandable I would've done it myself but instead she went and closed the car door herself with my foot being there and had to quickly move it out of the way so I wouldn't get hit. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have never ever rated a gas station, or any place for that matter on Yelp but this place was awful and it needs to be addressed. When we pulled in there was a semi truck taking up half of the parking lot and there was only 2 pumps open and at least 7 cars stopped waiting. The RUDE RUDE gas attendant came up to us and yelled that we need to back up and give the lady in the Jeep our spot even though she was behind us. We tried to tell her we could not back up because we had a car in front of us and a car behind us. She continued to scream and call us awful names in the middle of the parking lot because we could not back up. The car behind us was able to back up some, so in order to get the lady to stop yelling at us I told her I would back up as much as I could. I backed up and an inch, and she told me to "get f**ked" and leave because she wasn't giving us any gas. I could see if we were yelling at her back, but all we said was that we could not back up because of the amount of cars in the lot. i would never ever recommend this place to anyone unless you want to get harassed for them having no room in their parking lot. read more
