Both of my children have attended KinderCare Sunnyvale. Our daughter went from Preschool-Kindergarten (2019-2022) and our son went from Toddler-Kindergarten (2021-2025). At every stage/classroom they were in, the teachers and staff were amazing to work with. They were upfront and transparent when concerns arose, but above all cared for each child as if they were their own. Teachers and staff knew all of the children and parents by name, which helped to cultivate a family environment. The Assistant Directors and Directors were always in the Lobby to answer questions and interact with families. Ms. Michelle's Kindergarten program is legendary and of the highest standards. She goes above and beyond to nurture, educate, and prepare her students for Kindergarten/1st Grade. I have never seen a teacher give so much of herself to her students and love every minute of it. Both of my children had the privilege of being in her classroom and they were transformed under her guidance. We will forever be grateful to her and will consider her part of our extended family. Outside of the classroom, KinderCare Sunnyvale also provides a wide range of additional experiences to help children grow. Experiences like Learning Adventures (phonics, cooking, etc), Amazing Athletes (sports program), guest presenters (petting zoos, reptile shows, train rides, music performers, etc) and events (Summer Kick Off party, graduations, Mother's Day & Father's Day activities, etc). With many of these experiences, families also get to participate alongside their children. The KinderCare Sunnyvale facilities is in well maintained, inviting, and secure. Even though COVID, the teachers and staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone was healthy and safe. The safety of all children continues to be their top priority. We have attended other KinderCare centers in the Bay Area, but none come close to comparing to KinderCare Sunnyvale. The value of what you get is worth every penny you spend. KinderCare Sunnyvale also offers corporate and/or sibling discounts. So always ask to see if they will apply to you. While my children have aged out of KinderCare Sunnyvale, I cannot thank the teachers and staff enough. We searched for several daycares before settling on this one because it was conveniently located near our workplace. However, our experience was not as positive as we had anticipated. Within a week of enrolling our daughter, we observed several concerning issues: 1. On different days, both my wife and I witnessed teachers talking to each other while several children were crying. It seemed as if the teachers were ignoring the children's cries. 2. My daughter consistently expressed fear of going to kinderCare and would cry a lot when she heard about kindercare. We are unsure why she felt this way. 3. In contrast, when we enrolled her in a different daycare within one week, she felt much better and even liked the teachers there. Our first child attended KinderCare Sunnyvale at just 4 months old, so you can understand how nervous we were about leaving him. He attended daycare there 5 days a week until he was almost 2 years old, and had built relationships with everyone there.. from his fellow classmates to the teachers and cleaning lady. My daughter was attending this kindercare for almost 2 years. When I gave my 2 week notice, the services went down the drain. She was in DP2, my husband picked her up and she still had poop stains on her and the next day I went to pick her up, she was on her way to play outside. She ran towards me and I could smell the poop. I changed her and noticed her poop went through her diaper on to her onesie and her shorts! THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY TO GO PLAY OUTSIDE! Who knows how long she was in that diaper and the fact that they didn't even check her before heading outside to play. Anyway I emailed the school and they never responded back. I was able to walk into the school get her things out of her cubby without any questions or apologies for the situation. Honestly I had enjoyed her being at this school so much until this happened, AGAIN ONLY UNTIL I PUT THE 2 WEEk NOTICE. It made me think about how they really treat the children. read more

Our son has been going there for 2 years and we all like this place. Staff is very nice and we found the teachers and other staff members to be quite understanding and supportive with our son's sometimes " challenging " behavior. He loves going there every morning. He loves his teacher a lot... I feel like I know her a lot through his stories! I know many staff names from my son's reported stories :) I also found them to be very efficient during covid on procedures, safety etc. In summer they have special themes and extra activities for the kids and a lot water play which they absolutely love. They also seem to teach well PreK kids.. spelling, writing, various subjects and also " common sense "! I guess the bad reviews are from prior years under a different management. We sadly moved out of the area a few weeks ago, and we miss KinderCare Sunnyvale dearly. As a first-time Mom, it was incredibly difficult to put our 1.5 year old son in someone else's care. I had been taking care of him myself and couldn't imagine anyone else caring for him the way I did. But the intensity of my job plus a slowly improving global pandemic meant that it was time to find a more permanent caregiving solution. On his first day, the Kindercare team was incredibly kind and empathetic - it was harder for me than for my son! Every day after that was the same - none of the team ever wavered and I always felt that he was in the best hands. When I had my second child, it was a surprisingly easy transition. It was like leaving him with family at that point - still difficult but a lot of trust was there. Every single person we interacted with was amazing - their primary teachers, other teachers, support staff, leaders, etc. We never had a bad experience with anyone - even when things didn't go well (like the inevitable 2 year old biting phase!) they all handled it with kindness and support. We all make mistakes - but how we handle our mistakes is very telling. This daycare made a significant impact my kids' lives and we are forever grateful for that. Their genuine love for what they do is obvious and I know my kids are better off because of them. Their jobs are not easy - it is emotionally, physically and mentally challenging. At no point did I ever have the impression that they didn't love what they did though. KinderCare Sunnyvale has set a very high bar for how children should be treated and taken care of. My daughter is almost 5, and attends Kindergarten everyday, from 9 to 4 at the Kindercare Arques location. Before enrolling, we had a brief tour as well as several talks with Gina and Lorraine (the management) and Britney (the receptionist/office manager). They have all been more than happy to discuss different options, pay plans, schedules, answer all our questions and explain anything we needed. Ever since Dominika's first day, she is NEVER unhappy to go to school, and always just a little reluctant to leave. Her teachers, Miss Michelle and Miss Julie are amazing. They're not only nice, but as a former teacher myself, I instantly detected traits of patience, empathy and love for what they do when I met them. Their curriculum is vast and varied. My 4 year old speaks better (English isn't her first language), and within 2 weeks, was able to recite the pledge of allegiance. They spend plenty of time doing creative activities but I can tell that academic subjects such as writing, language skills and math are very prominent, which makes me feel great about the establishment because it's not a 'playschool'. They spend time outside.. and the kids are watched very well. Half the time, before my daughter can say anything to me, Miss Michelle or Miss Julie will have already told me how she did at lunch, if she had any conflicts, what her mood was like and how many times she put her hand up. Having said this, I can also say that they are able to find an acceptable and effective approach towards each of the children in class, who have very different personalities. Miss Julie is always happy to help with my daughter's (very!) long hair if it gets unruly. Miss Michelle always has the time to chat to me about Dominika's day, any possible concerns I have and to give me advice on what we can work on at home. As a parent, what else can I possibly ask for? Their food is prepared on site, and although Nika isn't a fan of meatloaf, she speaks highly of their mac n' cheese, and apparently the green beans and peas are good, too. When my daughter had a slight mishap in class at the beginning of the year, Gina (the director) was extremely nice about everything, never for a moment did she make us feel bad, and if anything she said 'look, we all have kids, we understand, don't you worry!' The center is open late, until 6 30pm, and although I'm usually bang-on-time to pick Nika up, there have been instances were we had to keep her there later.. and guess what, she was never upset about it, and always had a great time. I never feel bad about having to extend her day, and she is always all smiles. Pros - The lead teachers in Infant Room 2 were great - specifically Rafaela and Cherish. The location is very convenient. That's about it. Cons - Where to begin? I'll refer to my infant as LO (little one). So we were registered at the Sunnyvale Kindercare for only a month, but have a TON to say about it. We were referred to them from a friend, and we signed up for the waitlist while I was still pregnant. But by the time we placed LO there in mid-2019, they had a new director, Telma, who was doing a terrible job. If you read the other yelp reviews about Telma, I believe they are most likely true. On the first day here, they didn't have LO's cubby ready (they emptied another baby's cubby and gave it to him in front of us). They moved him from Room 1 (which we requested) to Room 2, and when I asked their administrator, Lorraine, she didn't even know that happened. LO was supposed to have 1-2 main teachers, but that was only consist about half the time we were there. The other half of the time, whenever I picked him up, I met a new teacher taking care of him. The center is constantly shifting teachers around the classrooms. The final straw was actually on the 5th day, when LO came home with a deep scratch on his head. I took him back to KC and asked the teachers, who didn't know what happened. I asked Telma who also said no report was made on this, but that she'll ask around and get back to me the next day. However, when I returned the next day around 3:30pm to pick up LO, I confronted Telma again, and she took me into a room and said that the auditor was still at the location, but just left to grab some lunch and will return, so she's been too busy to look into it. The time is important to note, because on the actual licensing report, it states the time of audit was from 9am - 12pm, so Telma lied right to my face. On the 3rd day I confronted her again, she admitted she could not find an answer as to what happened to his head, and that was that. Currently, LO is at another daycare in a non-mobile infant room, for babies who aren't able to crawl yet. At this KC, he was mixed in with babies who were crawling all over, and able to touch and grab him. Most of the time when I went to pick him up, I had to keep moving my car seat around the room because there was one baby who kept wanting to crawl into it. This is probably how he got the scratch on his head. Also, the area where you enter to get into Infant Room 1 & 2 always smelled of urine. Regarding the audit, there were two on 4/18/19 and 4/19/19, but it's not uploaded on the CA social services website yet. https://secure.dss.ca.gov/CareFacilitySearch/FacDetail/434403523 They should be physically posted at the center. One report was about not having enough teachers to meet the 4 infants to 1 teacher ratio, but the other report was about an infant crawling into a supply closet and accidently being locked in there by a teacher who didn't notice. The infant was in the closet for about 2 minutes. This was frightening to learn about, and the center NEVER gave us these reports, I had to get a copy from my friend who also has her child there. Hopefully this helps other parents while searching for childcare that meets their needs. It's so unfortunate that this center just couldn't get anything right. read more

I had a very bad backup reservation experience with this provider. They confirmed our backup reservation in system, but they found out they didn't have enough space, they denied their confirmation and refused to serve us with a very bad attitude. We have their confirmation email but they just denied it no matter what, which is ridiculous and also funny. We can understand overbooking happens so a simple apology is okay. But their attitude is so bad and the director is actually very rude. I can't imagine who would like to send little kids to such a bad environment with such a rude person. As a parent, please find other providers if you care about your kid. read more

Daycare facility seemed ok but the staff and teachers were not so positive and seemed like they were just going through the motion. During week two of enrollment in January of 2018, I went to pick up my son who was freezing outside without a jacket, all by himself in a corner while 2 teachers were just chitchatting and not paying too much attention. after two days like this, my son got a fever and cough and that's when i decided to pull him out as i realized the staff is not very competent to take care of kids this age. i was told i didn't give 30 days notice and was sent to collection!!! this place is horrible, not professional and the worst of all... staff is not competent to take good care of kids!!!! read more

Our son started at this center when he was 16 month old in toddler classroom. He is in preschool room and still enjoys his time there. He loves his teachers and looks forward to go to school every morning with a happy face and big smile. Teachers are very caring. We are returning parents to this center. We had our older one go here from Jan 2014- August 2018. He thoroughly enjoyed his time there, made great friends and learnt a lot. My daughter started at this center in October 2019 and continues to go till date. We pulled her off for a few months since Covid lockdown started in March 2020. We resumed sending her from July 2020. The center director Mandy took time to explain the Covid protocols taken and what the policies are once the center re-opened. The assistant directors Michelle and Lorraine are very helpful in always answering your questions and to make you feel at ease by assuring that they truely care for your child. Special thanks to all Infant room and toddler teachers for caring so much for our kids. Our daughter loves going to the center everyday and as parents we are thankful for the care and support the center has provided us especially during the Covid times. Our daughter has been enrolled at KinderCare since August 2020 (toddler). She had a rough transition because she had never been in daycare before, but the directors and teachers at KinderCare Sunnyvale were incredibly helpful in making sure our daughter was well cared for and adjusting to her new surroundings. We receive daily reports through the KinderCare app, which include eating times, amounts, as well as photos. The center communicates with us frequently and teachers share information about the class learning curriculum. Our daughter often comes home with new artwork she completed in school and shares new words she learned as well. The children read, sing, play music, paint and color, and play outside every day. After taking some time to transition, our daughter now can't wait to go to school each morning and play with her friends! We are also so grateful and thankful to our daughter's teachers and the center directors (Mandy, Lorraine and Michele). Especially during this trying time, the teachers and directors have done an amazing job of lovingly caring for our child while also making sure we follow COVID protocols to keep the children safe and center running smoothly. This certainly takes a lot of work and organization. We love Sunnyvale KinderCare and couldn't ask for better child care for our daughter! If you have not decided which daycare to go, please seriously consider Sunnyvale location as your child's first and last daycare. I have 2 boys both in Sunnyvale location. Ms Mandy is the director starts from this year and did an amazing job during this whole crazy Covid stuffs. I feel safe to drop off my boys everyday and all the staffs are so nice and being extra careful to follow the new protocol. Ms Michelle, Ms Cheryl, and Ms Sue are all great with my boys, love them so much. I know there might be some parents concerned about the yelp rating of this center; honestly, I had exactly the same feeling when I first searched this center on yelp. Our daughter started the infant program at Kindercare at Sunnyvale in Feb of 2020 before Covid. Within a month, due to lockdown, it was suspended. Once they restarted in May 2020, we started sending her from June 2020. They sent out clear instructions and their policies to ensure the safety and cleanliness in following the protocols for Covid Safety, The center, staff and teachers were well trained and are very professional. With that level of confidence, we didnt have to hesitate to our daughter who was just an year old. Apart from the covid protocols, the teachers and the staff are very friendly, caring and dutiful towards the kids. If I have to name, I have to name all the teachers who took care of my daughter, are excellent. The director, Mandy and assistant directors, Loraine and Michelle always have a welcome and smiling face. They treat every child as their own and gives a sense of assurance. For the same reason, my daughter is always full of joy going there every morning. The daily reports is very clear and categorical. They often share photos of the activities the kids are doing and gives an idea of how the day progressed. To sum up, its a pleasure to have my kid enrolled over there. read more

5 Stars ALL THE WAY. Our daughter has been going here about a year. She has grown and developed tremendously during her time at KinderCare. I know each child develops at their own pace and it is hard to compare one experience to another. But, we are positive that the supportive, caring and nurturing environment, combined with a curriculum that is tailored and followed have allow our child to flourish. We know many children of very similar ages, some go to programs, some do the home thing and part time interaction with a program and other children. (this is hard to quantify) But, we can see how advanced she is for her age. And, we give credit to KinderCare for an excellent place for a child to grow! In the end, having a good structure, curriculum, and program only go as far as the individuals working there. We cannot praise the staff at KinderCare enough. We literally tell our daughter we are going to see... and she is overjoyed. You cannot fake caring and enthusiasm in your staff, and they have it. This place is an HR nightmare. Telma manages her staff through intimidation and humiliation. I've seen the teachers come in sick, talked to inappropriately, and disrespected numerous times. She touches parents and teachers inappropriately. I take my child's supervision and health very seriously. We recently started after the other location shut down. We were assured that the company would continue to provide our family a safe place for our child to grow. We only stayed for a month and then I saw teachers crying in the lobby, major turnover and the school was just dirty. I don't want my child in an environment that teaches them disrespect and rudeness. If KinderCare is smart they will get rid of her before they get sued. read more

My husband and I came in for a tour. We were a little hesitant at first because of the other yelp reviews but gave it a shot because the location really fits our family needs. We are sure glad we came and saw it with our own eyes too. We were greeted by the friendly front desk staff who then introduced us to the assistant director, Michelle who gave us the tour of the center. We also met the Center Director, Telma and assistant director Lorraine who were both friendly and helpful. We first toured the infant and toddler side and got to see the teacher and child interactions. The teachers seemed happy and to really enjoy being with the children. Lots of smiles and laughs coming from everyone. We then toured the preschool side. It was almost lunchtime so there was lots of movement happening. Circle times were ending and lunchtime routines starting. We really liked how the children knew to wash their hands before walking over and finding a seat at the tables. Songs were sung as the teachers prepared lunches to help pass the time. We got to see the playgrounds on both sides and both were big and spacious with lots of choices to keep the children busy.  The center is clean, friendly, and organized. My son (almost 2) has been attending Sunnyvale KinderCare since he was 6 months old. We absolutely love this daycare and as someone who lives far away from immediate family, KinderCare has become part of our "village". The directors, Mandy, Lorraine, and Melody are fabulous and listen to any concerns or questions I have had! My son had had amazing teachers in his Infant and Toddler classrooms -- Beatrice and Tina have been wonderful!! It has been so fun to watch him learn, grow, and thrive over the last 18 months! He has learned so much that I don't think my husband and I would have been able to teach him. One more recent fun learning from the last 2 months has been that my son loves to count from 1 to 10 in English AND Spanish! Also as a busy working parent, I love that the center provides healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack--that I don't have to pack!! I worked at this company for 3 months. I had a positive attitude but when Thelma started as director, she bullied,harassed me even in front of a parent. My health was at steak and, I decided to resign because I was mistreated. Even, when I spoke to her supervisor she said they could talk to us any way they can. This review has been a long time coming. I had my two daughters there for a very long time. Before covid they were okay, conveniently located mostly. My daughters went through the toddler, twos, preschool, pre- K and recently they added school age. With that being said I need to say the teachers ARE PHENOMENAL. They are all loving and caring. They willingly adjust their classes or schedule for our kids. They treat them very well. However the teachers often leave due to mistreatment by office staff and low pay. It's very sad. After being there for so long and having at least 4 different directors, I can tell you that they do whatever it takes to fake it until they make it. Even with covid I don't believe the practices were or are very safe. Upon check in you have to wait in a line to get your temperature taken. While waiting in this line I've heard many kids with coughs, runny noses and respiratory symptoms be taken in to expose their class mates. I've heard the director say "it's just allergies" when clearly it isn't. It's essential during this time to take every symptom seriously and SEND THEM HOME. That's my first problem. 2nd problem is the amount of favoritism that is shown to certain families and children. Some kids would get a GOOD MORNING, while others would get nothing but a "what's their temp?". On occasion my daughter would come home with stories of how the current director took a school age child out to lunch while she got left at school. Also if you are a loved family it's not a problem if you are 5 minutes late but if you aren't a favorite Ms. Michele will scream at you about being on time, but don't worry the late policy is never enforced. They don't charge even if you are an hour late, because it's all about keeping the families and making money. Your child isn't anything more than a number here. Another issue is the safety of the teachers and children here and the way they deal with children who are beyond their control. My daughter witnessed a child hit, pull, punch, pick up chairs and throw them at adults! This child tried to run out of the building and this child then returning to school the next day like nothing ever happened. They aren't concerned for the safety of other children AT ALL. They will keep a child as long as they are getting money. The janitor services here are limited. So many times I have seen teachers moping their own floor. I see one janitor for at least 10 classes, who goes home the same time i would pick my girls up. What is that 3 hours to clean 10 rooms? While the children are still there? Disturbing. The food here is included in tuition but is ALL frozen or canned or boxed including the milk! Overall I kept my girls here because it was close and the teachers are great but the head staff has no idea what they are doing nor cares about your child being safe. You have to Remember this is a big Corporation. Often times the treatment of staff in corporations is awful and they are after one thing and one thing only. Our daughter Karina came to Kindercare as a shy 3 year old back in 2018. She has blossomed so much in the loving care of all the teachers here. The kindergarten class and Ms. Michelle are phenomenal. She is Very creative and the kids learn a lot of amazing things everyday. She organized an amazing graduation ceremony for the little ones which made every kid feel so special. I absolutely don't recommend this daycare unless you absolutely have no other choices like myself. I just relocated here from the East coast and all other daycare are full or far from us. First let me start off with what deem important for your child: the classroom. The classroom (pre-k/pre-school) has no window and they don't ever crack the door to let fresh air in. The room is smelly and murky I could not stand it. I mentioned to the teacher with no luck. We talk to the people at the front desk, no better results. We feel like they completely blocked out and ignore our suggestion Then come deceiving practice. We was told the tuition was X amount and we agreed to it even thought it is so much higher compare to others. However I suck it up because the location is convenience. Then a week in, they told me i own money for music class enrichment which I never sign my child up. And they told me it is NOT optional. What? Then the people who contacted me for due tuition/fee are quick to ask for money and SLOW to answer my questions. It is only 2 weeks in at this school and I absolutely hate it. This review is solely based off of this location and not the company as a whole. We recently went for a tour at this KinderCare location. We were greeted by one of the assistant directors Lorraine (who did not introduce herself we only know her name by her picture on the wall) she handed us a piece of paper and told us to fill it out and take a seat. Several staff members walked by and did not bother saying hi. We had to flag a woman down to say we had an appointment. Lauren then greeted us and assisted us with the tour, she was friendly but not impressive. Two additional things bothered me as a parent. First the door to the children's area which typically requires a code to access was left wide open due to a food delivery, which is totally fine however there was no one at the front desk to observe the door! Anyone could walk in and out of the "secured" area! Good 5-7 minutes with the door left open. Second- There was a listing on a whiteboard of the menu for the day and biscuit was misspelled.... It was spelled buscuit. Now I don't know about you but if I'm going to spend $1600 on a pre-school I would require exceptional service that is inviting, trust in the security of the school and most importantly a staff that is competent enough to correct spelling errors. 2 stars for the teacher outside playing music. My son just completed the pre-school program at this place. So, I wanted to share with you our experience. The only positive I can say about this place is the teacher. They care for the students. Other than that, this place needs a lot of work. 1. Let's start with the management team. They don't seem to care about your feedback. When I came up and talk to them, I don't get the feeling that they would care and take my feedback seriously. Also, they passed their responses through the teacher instead of talking to me directly. 2. The facility is pretty average. It doesn't have window. Also, it's a cement floor for the playground. One other issue is that they're isn't clear about the referral program. Recently I referred a friend to their facility. By rule is that they should credit me $200. When I asked them about this they told me that they won't give me the credit because my son is only have two week left. They said that my son needs to be in school for 4 weeks after the other student started. No where in their policy stating this rule. So, it's fishy busing. read more

After commuicating with their corporate office staff few times, they closed our case and we didn't pay more. At least their corporate people are reasonable. To Lisa, I'm glad your son is happy with them. I'm sure they have good teachers there. and obviously there are other terrible teachers cause other bad reviews. I think not only myself have the same opinion that director is leading this center to wrong direction. My point is that clearly written policy does not mean it's fair policy. Even it's a policy and staff should look at the situation not just give us like "our center just not working for your kid and you owe us such and such" type of attitude. My daughter is Milpitas Christian Preschool now, she is happy and learn a lot there. I hope to see more positive review from Sunnyvale Kindercare which means more happy kids and parents there. read more

We sent our kid to KinderCare Sunnyvale during the pandemic in 2020 until Aug 2021, where she's been in infant and toddler room. The director Ms. Mandy keeps the center safe. She's easy to reach, transparent about all the info and policies and very helpful (Best director I've ever seen and you know how important it is during the pandemic). Assistant Directors Ms. Lorraine, Ms. Michele and all the rooms teachers are super sweet and take great care of my daughter. I'm very grateful to all of that. We leave this center only because my kid starts learning to talk and we'd like her to learn our mother tongue by putting her into a bilingual daycare. I'll definitely return to this center if we get a 2nd child. read more

I don't understand why there is so much negative saying about this center's director Telma. On the contrary of all previous reviews I will say she is managing the center very well. I have my child in this school for almost eight months now and I have no complaints about anyone. Since then I have seen so many changes in her school which I like. Center started staying more clean now. There are new arrangements in center and out on playground too. Till now I had never seen Telma as mentioned in previous reviews. Whenever I had issues for my child she always took care of those. Also, the assistant director Lorraine is so sweet. My child love her, I always heard saying Ms. Lorraine gave me hug today. It feel so happy to hear that my kid is being loved where she spend most of her day. All the teachers I know are really nice and friendly. I like this center and recommend you guys. Kindercare in Sunnyvale is great! Not only is it affordable but it is also close to where I work and live. We are still fairly new to the center but my twins love coming here every day an interacting with their classmates and teachers. They are currently in the toddler program and we have noticed a significant difference in their level of self-confidence, independence and self-esteem. Ms. Linda and Ms. Crystal do a great job of making sure that all of their daily needs are met and they provide a daily overview of what they did each day (diaper change logs, meal overview, group activities, etc). The office staff is great too. They are all very friendly and always there to listen if you have any questions or concerns. I think this branch is one of the expensive but well organized daycare center.I have few comments to improve their facilities as considering monthly tuition fee. It will be great to have grass covered play ground rther than cement for toddlers. Class room is a little bit smaller for 14 toddlers but teachers and people in center are friendly. read more

This campus is great. Teachers so very nice and kind, school is very flexible, no breaks. The mandarin class is fabulous. My daughter was enrolled when she turned 2 and has been there for more than 1.5 years. She's happy everyday and learnt a lot. She keep strong interest in speaking mandarin, reading books and poems and also starts to recognize some characters. She also pickup English very quickly. They do a lot of painting, hand craft, tracing and reading. Ms. Cheryl and Ms. Lucy are very creative and hard working. They don't push kids, but trying to keep their interest and encourage them to learn. Most kids in the class are Chinese or mixed, half speaks mandarin and half English, which provides a good bilingual environment. read more

I started my daughter here when she was only 9 months old and she is now 3 years old. I have seen this daycare really take a turn for the best. The management has been quit impressive with how they interact with the kids and greet the parents as they come through. The feeling of leaving a baby with strangers is devastating for any mother however this center had teachers that were tentative to my baby, helped her with breaking bottle habit, helped her learn to walk, talk and now has helped tremendously with potty training. Prior to her current classroom she came from Miss Christine and Miss Maria (next door) and both of them had been a delight to help my daughter grow. I had a biting problem and the teachers and I would talk to figure out whats working and whats not working to help understand why the behavior came about. They both did a great job of helping my daughter use her "words" instead of her biting. My daughter is in Discovery Preschool now with teachers Didi and Francesca (hopefully spelled that correct). This classroom has helped potty train my daughter wonderfully! The classroom has activities and every Friday they have sharing day. I was nervous at first thinking my daughter might be too young for the type of activities however she has learned to count to 14 and recognize letters. I am amazed by how much these two teachers really put into the activities for the kids. I bring home projects every week of what my daughter worked on. Extremely impressed! I know daycare is pricey however if you are considering this daycare here a few things to take into account: - Extremely tentative to child's needs and open discussion with parents on whats working in the classroom and whats not - Each day there is a summary of what your child did (ate, how much they ate, slept, diaper changing etc...) -Payment includes activities / curriculum, food (breakfast, lunch and snack) so your not just paying for someone to just watch your kid... your child is actually getting introduced to an education. My daughter has been with this center since 9 months old and I have not had one day when she cried not wanting to go.
