I have a tight timeline and am out of the area, so my parents brought the car in. He assures them he knows exactly what needs to be done, and he's got it taken care of. Three business days later, Wednesday, I haven't heard anything. I call up - they know the car is there, but no one knows why or what to do about it. I re-explain. Two days later, Friday, I'm out of time. I show up for the car, haven't heard anything. I wait 15 minutes for someone to show up, then he tells me "the car smells, so I couldn't get anyone to work on it". REALLY? You think leaving the car out in the summer heat with windows rolled up had anything to do with that? Apparently they never even popped open the hood to look - I took it over to Jiffy Lube and they found a mouse made a nest in the cabin filter area, so they vacuumed it up. Smell gone.
