Won an item at auction. Pick up time was by 6pm. Arrived at pick up location to find the house vacant and locked up. Emailed them and they said they left at 6pm - not true. Was told the item could be transported for pick up in a few days at their business location. Was then informed it is at a UPS store and could be picked up there. I recently bid on Sunny Transitions on-line auction. The process was easy. The website is very easy to use. (Some on-lines are quite convoluted in how you sign up and navigate.) I was lucky enough to win most of lots I bid on. I cannot say enough about how great Jason and his team were when I went to pick up my items. They were VERY well organized and as helpful as could be. They obviously enjoyed what they were doing and it showed!! They were very upbeat and friendly. Jason especially was very kind. I called him the day before pickup to ask about the size of a bookcase I purchased. Even though he was obviously busy, he answered the phone. While I was on the phone with him, he measured the bookcase and gave me my info immediately. Wow!! I was originally uneasy about dealing with a new online company that I was not familiar with. If I could give more then five stars I would! Jason and his team are the most professional, honest, and hard working people I've encountered in a long time! He was the only estate sale person we interviewed who appeared to want to do the job and didn't make us feel like it wasn't worth the time to do. The online auction format they use was also much better for the amount of small items my dad had that would make a traditional in home sale more difficult. Jason and his team at Sunny Transitions are some of the most knowledgeable, professional, and downright caring people I have dealt with in quite some time. I had to have an estate sale for my 82 year old mother after her husband passed away. Jason and his team handled the entire operation from start to finish while my mother still lived in the home and I lived out of state. Jason turned what could have been the biggest nightmare of all of the tasks my mother had to do into one of the easiest tasks of the whole situation. From the beginning Jason was different from the other companies I called. First of all, he called my back. Second of all, he answered all of my many questions over the phone. He understood I had never done anything like having an estate sale before and he treated me with patience and respect. He never pushed me to let him come "take a look", and he thoroughly explained how the process worked before I signed anything. Once I understood the process, Jason came out to my mother's home to asses her estate. She'd lived in her house quite some time had accumulated a lifetime of possessions. Jason didn't even blink. He explained how he and his team would catalog it all with little to no disruption to my mom's life, and that is exactly what happened. Jason was in contact with me daily. I never had to wonder what was happening or how much progress was made. He texted me pictures, he called me if he had questions, and most impressively, he offered advice about selling things in ways that would mean more work for him, but more money for my mom. And on top of all of that, he and his team were so kind and thoughtful with my mother. She's this little old lady whose husband just died, and she's having to sell all of her worldly possessions, so you can imagine the emotional rollercoaster she was on, but Jason and his employees listened to her stories, asked questions and made her feel safe and comfortable with them. They interacted with other workers like home health nurses, the pool guy, and neighbors who came by. Every single person who came into contact with Jason and his team commented on what good people they are. Handling the estate sale from out of state was simple with Jason involved. I could ask him about anything--do you know a window washer, a way to ship boxes, how to handle the HOA,--and he would know off the top of his head or call me back/text with the information within a few hours. Jason assessed, organized, and emptied a 5 bedroom house PACKED with things in the most efficient, professional, and lucrative way possible. So, yes, the money. Jason's commission is right in line with all the other estate places I called, especially for the amount of time he put in; and none of of the other companies held online auctions. They all have people traipsing through the house haggling over prices. That is crazy in this day and age. There were things to be sold that the population within driving distance wouldn't want or understand the value of. Having the auction online meant exposure to worldwide collectors and more money for my mom. I cannot recommend Jason and Sunny Transitions highly enough. While there can understandably be confusion and miscommunication during an estate sale, how it is handled is really important. Not only to the potential customer, but to the seller of the property to which they belong. That being said, the representative of Sunny was rude. And displayed very poor communication skills. I was personally treated with total disrespect. Perhaps because I was in weekend attire and was not dressed professionally. The person to which I am referring is named Jason. I had picked up and purchased a small table. I paid for the item and received my receipt. Then, a few minutes later, Jason came at me and said "that item is sold." To which I replied, "yes sir. I just purchased it." And I showed him my receipt. He said "well it was already sold." Ok, there is confusion. And I am understanding of that. However, Jason grabs one end of the table and we began a brief tug of war. Until he yanked it out of my hand. This could have been easily handled if Jason had explained the confusion, offered an apology, and allowed me to respond with mutual respect. Unfortunately, he was rude and abrasive. To add insult to injury, I heard him and another person whispering about me. And although I did not hear exactly the comments, one of them said "no, he is still here, in the other room." And of course they began to follow me and escalate my discomfort as a consumer. So, this may be an isolated incident. However, if it exemplary of the type of person or persons that run Sunny, they are very poor business people. I would not recommend them as a representative for your resale needs. read more

I was very disappointed with Sunny Transitions. I buy from a lot of estate sales and have recommended some of the vendors to my friends who are downsizing or moving into assisted living. This company however is not professional. While it is ok to list something with photos and then pre-sell it, you should pull the photo AND announce on you ad that some items might be pre-sold. We showed up today with the idea of buying at least one item we saw in their ad. Understandably someone may buy an item before I get there but this was not the case. The answer I got was, "Oh, that item was sold by the owner before the estate sale." To me, knowing the owner is pre-selling items and not updating the sale ad photos is bait and switch. And they were very flippant about it, like they do it all the time. The Estate Sale market is unregulated. It's people like this that give it a bad name. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I never leave reviews but it would b an injustice if I didn't this time. The experience with this company Jason and his wife and mother with Sunny Transitions were the worst experience ever. They should not even be in business the way they treat people. When I hired him and did all the paperwork and he took pictures and said what a great estate sale it was going to be and how sympathetic he acted about both my parents passing and us having to sell everything in the house. That is until the next day when we were locked into contract and no longer allowed to back out of the deal. He actually was so rude and vulgar to me and my family that I was honestly speechless. He said and I quote "my deceased parents were hoarders and that they live in a dirty dusty hoard and that they will not be cleaning any of my deceased parents "CRAP" that they just want to get through the sale and be done with it. He also said that people in Summerlin would not stoop to the level of junk that we had to sell in the estate sale. My parents house was a beautiful house with a craft business that was ran out of it in a great part of Summerlin and had so much to offer to people coming. He tried to cancel my estate sale the night before and have me still pay him $1000 for nothing. He did not do any work at all. I set up the entire sale myself. I labeled everything, cleaned everything, organized everything completely with no help from his 3 man crew that works for him which is all his family! He literally got paid to do nothing except insult us, yell at us and make money off of my parents things that he could care less about. The day of the sale his wife was so rude, didn't speak to us once and all she could do was take selfies of herself over and over again. He also left my freshly cleaned carpets in a disgusting mess with black oil stains and footprints all over the place. The house looked like a hurricane hit it after he was done making his money. The most outrageous part was my very nice large tables were set up so that items that were for sale can be placed on them for display and when we got back to the house after the sale was over my tables were gone! We called him immediately and he said he sold them! We were so mad because he knew they were not for sale but he acted like Oh Well! Personally I think he kept them because they were so nice unlike the ones that he had that were all damaged and stained. He overpriced everything and did no research on the items that were being sold like other companies do. He just pulled a magical figure out of the sky and put it on the items with no idea what they would typically go for. His work ethic is not what someone would want when they are selling all their families prized possessions. Trust me go with another company!! read more

Tons of pictures on the website listings so you can see what you are purchasing as opposed to other estate sale auctions who only post 4 or 5 pictures at best. Jason, the owner, did a fantastic job for me. I had a house full of furniture to sell and a real worry about Covid 19. Jason and his wife Chelsea spent at least 4 hours at my home photographing every single item, describing it, and then downloading to their online auction site. The auction lasted for 2 weeks, then the items were picked up on one day during a 4 hour period. I can't believe how hard they worked on all my stuff. They were pleasant, organized and very efficient. They definitely have this online auction and pick up down to an art. I would suggest if you know more about some of your items, you should let them know. It makes things easier for them when they post things. I had many things from around the world which would be difficult for them to have to look up so I marked them all with the information. It was cathartic for me and helpful to them. If you have more insight into value, then share that as well. I didn't and they did a great job pricing things. They are also fluid in that if things don't get bids, they did drop some starting prices and got things going. Though I am sure their loyal customers know this. And they do have a good following. Sunny Transitions gave me, hands down, the best experience (as a buyer), in estate auctions here in Las Vegas. Jason and his team are polite and his pricing on items is reasonable. I have been to several of their auctions and each was a positive and fun experience where I found a treasure. I love that I am able to see the things that I bid on, in the house, on the day of pick up, and wrap them myself! There are other estate auction companies here in Vegas that don't let you do that. They just hand you a box with a jumbled mess of unwrapped glass (with items from the photos missing!), take your money, and treat you rudely. Please do not hire this company to do your estate sales. Let me preface this by saying that I frequent estate sales as a customer every weekend and have been to many professionally run sales in different states. This is the most rude and insulting company I have ever run into. I have been to previous sales run by this company and there is always some sort of altercation with customers. One week the older gentleman accused my husband of stealing and he felt so uncomfortable that he left because he was being followed. They also quoted another customer a price on a sunglasses lot and decided to change their pricing and put the box back on the table without telling the customer. That customer was furious and was arguing with the older man as he watched people go thru the box that he thought he just purchased. This time I guess was my turn. He had just finished yelling at this poor lady and calling her a "Nut" and other N words while I was upstairs looking through clothes. I was very uncomfortable as well as other customers there. I started a pile downstairs of items I was going to purchase. When I was ready to check out, the first item he priced at $100 for a used plain jacket (not worth more than $20). My husband said no to that item. Then he started being rude and said "I guess then we will forget everything." I did not know where that kind of attitude came from since I had a big pile of items I wanted to purchase. I have never been treated so rudely and the whole team turned on us and started calling me and my husband names. The larger lady even tried lunging at us but was held back by the owner. They are racist and called me a "dirty Mexican" as well. I don't know how they stay in business with their "customer service skills". read more

RUN as fast as you can from any sale they might have and do not look back! I purchased 2 items form this auction and was barely to meet their very limited pick up time window. The 3 ppl in front of me said it was ok to quickly get them because I had to get to work. I had frustration in my voice because they were obviously unorganized and overall just nasty rude people. They refused to give me my items so I said I will need to call the credit card company and report them , their poor business practices ...If A refund is not issued , then I will report theft and fraud...Like I said DO NOT buy from theese people, DO NOT trust these people with any on line transactions . Jason is a real life saver. He handled my estate sale over a year ago in August, 2016. As you can see from my late review, I am quite the procrastinator. This is my life! I found myself completely overwhelmed after losing both of my parents who I had lived with over a decade, having to sell a too large house, and being physically handicapped, dealing with sorting, packing, selling, and moving before escrow closed seemed like an impossible task. Then I found Jason, my knight in shining armor! He really knows what he is doing. He handled everything for me, and he is so fast and compassionate too. His job was especially difficult since I lived in the home where the estate sale was to occur. It wasn't like he could just come in and tag everything for sale. Some things needed packed and moved to storage, some things packed and moved to a temporary home, and most things sold. Things from a sixty-year marriage needed sorted. I just had to be present to tell him what I wanted to keep, but Jason did all the work. He unpacked the closets and boxes in the garage and sorted, packed my things, arranged the movers - all this on top of the usual estate sale preparations. His father was great to have there as an antique and jewelry expert. Jason is so knowledgeable that he could recognize the brand of furniture and approximate year it was made without looking at the brand mark inside. I didn't have to worry about a thing. He even cleaned up afterward. By the way, he returned my call when no other company would when I initially shopped around. He was always communicating with me during the process too.
