The restrooms didn't disappoint however... We walked over to the breakfast sandwich area and not one biscuit, burrito or croissant, not one. The whole area was empty like it was shit down. Keep in mind it was 6am. We walked over to the pastry area where there were several people standing around. The lady at pastry yells over, you got any sandwiches ready? The guy lets out a sigh, reaches in a warming area under the counter and tosses up 6 biscuits and 6 burritos. He brings out a tray of croissants and starts putting them together like he's got all day. I literally had time to walk over to the clothes area, pick my niece out a buck-ee costume and walk back and the guy still hadn't wrapped one croissant sandwich. When he finally wrapped the first sandwich, my husband asked to take that one and the guy said, they'll be up on the hot bar I. A few minutes. The guy literally wrapped every single croissant sandwich and laid them on the counter next to him before putting even one on the hot bar. I don't know who was in charge of that morning shift but I'm guessing no one. Who knows how much business they lost and people they pissed off prior to 6am but I guess no one cared.

This place has plenty of amenities, but the real attraction is the ongoing Shell vs. Sonic civil…read morewar. I mentioned that the bathrooms were in pretty rough shape to the Shell employee, who immediately informed me that they were "the Sonic people's responsibility." So I walked over to Sonic, where the employee looked completely defeated and explained she'd been told she wasn't even allowed on the Shell side. What happened next deserved an Emmy. The Sonic employee marched over, confronted the Shell employee, and basically said, "Pick a lane. Either I'm allowed on your side and I clean the bathrooms, or I'm not allowed over there and you clean them." In the end, despite the standoff, she grabbed the cleaning supplies and cleaned the bathrooms herself. for the unexpected live drama. for the Sonic employee, who apparently deserves hazard pay, a promotion, and an award for conflict resolution.

It's got tons of food, overpriced gifts to give to family /friends and restrooms. The best part about it, is that it's got easy access to the highway. This place is honestly really pricey and care and sanitary for this place is awful! There's tons of liquid on the floor though out the place.

There's another Buc-ee's closer to our home, it's my destination for those pesky CR2025 and CR2032, which seem to get slurped up by our devices. The staff chops up fresh brisket sandwiches for you to grab and go. For me? I always grab the sugar roasted pecans. I can eat a cone of these sweet, warm treats in one sitting.
