Every time I see Fiona for my hair, i walk out of the salon feeling like the most gorgeous version of myself. I completely trust her because she kills it. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. You can tell she puts a lot of care and passion into her work. She's honest, caring, super knowledgeable, and makes me feel extremely pampered whenever i go in. I'm also obsessed with the hair Botox treatment she offers and how silky and healthy my hair looks after- it's a game changer! On top of being professional boss babe, she's so fun to talk to and has THE cutest little salon.
I cannot say enough how amazing every single girl is that works here. I've had the pleasure of Kristin handling my hair and she's absolutely AMAZING. She always gets it right and I've NEVER complained about my hair. Today I said "let's tone it down, do what you want" and Kristin DID THE DAMN THING !!! I'm the type that will find a new hair person after one session because I'm just not happy with it, BUT NOT HERE!! If you need your hair done, go see any of the beauties here because they will get you RIGHT!!! Amazing job to Fiona and her girls on running the BEST hair salon in SD!!
Fiona has been cutting my for years. She always gives the full VIP experience and services when I come. I am addicted to Moroccan oil. I always buy the hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. I love the cocktail fridge and Nespresso. Always easy to park!
This is the BEST place in San Diego! I've been a client for 3-4 years now and it's always a great experience. Fiona is a dream and will transform your hair into exactly what you want, every single time. Took me from a dry and damaged brunette and restored me back to a healthy sultry sunkissed beauty. Pics don't lie- This girl knows her stuff!!
I have been seeing Fiona for about two years now and I have found my forever stylist. Her salon is so cute and has the best coffee and the cutest pup-assistant named Poppy you can request for your appointment. Fiona really cares about your hair and is super honest about what she can do and what is best for your hair's health. I love talking with her when I am there and always feeds you lunch while you wait for your hair to process. I have done balayage with her several times from natural black hair to blonder and now doing rose gold color. She does an amazing job and I love how my hair turns out time. If you need a hair style, hair color, hair cut, Sunkissed is the place! They also have so many great hair and beauty products in stock that Fiona recommends specifically for you.
Searched well over 6 months for a hair colorist that can help me transition from over 10 years of black hair to something different- while maintaining my hair's integrity. Found Fiona and booked her color correction service 2/3 months in advance. Come the day of, she was so willing and up for the challenge! I walked out feeling like a new woman- her prices are respectable and you definitely get what you pay for & more! The coffee she provides is lovely, her help from Kristin was pleasing and their personalities were wonderful. I finally found my forever stylist!
If I could give zero stars I would! This review is LONG over due. If you want to spend your hard earned money do not waste it here. I have had the worst hair stylist experience with this stylist of my life. I paid Fiona for over a year $600 plus dollars AND SHE ADDS ON A TIP for her to BREAK my hair off. When I came to this salon I wanted to bleach my hair and we did and it was great! I got so many compliments on my hair I loved it. In between bleaching we would let the root grow out and tone it. I suggested to stop letting my root grow out and to bleach it back to back but I wanted to stretch my appointments to 12 weeks apart and she said no! And came up with some BS reason And I bought it but that mistake cost me my hair. As we started bleaching it back to back She saw my hair was breaking off and instead of saying hey we can not do this anymore she waited until I said something. I texted her a long message saying how my hair is completely broken and how I was so upset because I use all of her specific hair salon bs products and it's still breaking off and what do I do. She gaslit me instead of apologizing ! Then she suggested a high lift and used a chemical something with a T I can not recall the name but she claimed it was not bleach. So I agreed she is the professional and I trusted her but whatever that was it completely broke my hair. My hair is now a mullet. She even had the audacity to say for the third time after I already said I will not do hair extensions!!! THEY ARE NOT IN MY BUDGET but she said we will "throw in some extensions" when the broken pieces are long enough. I have not been back since and canceled my future appointments. I have gone to other stylist in the area and around other areas they all said leave my hair alone and let it grow out and start over. That whoever did this to my hair did it on purpose. I even had someone suggest possibly going to court to get some of my money back and I think that's a great idea! I told FIONA I am beyond sensitive because I have ALOPECIA this is exactly how my hair looked when it was growing back after falling out and I wore wigs. My hair is AWFUL! I cry about it all the time I can only wear it up in a clip to hide how broken it really is. Not one time did I get an apology or a freaking text asking how was my hair doing? After all the money my husband and I spent which was THOUSANDS of dollars! I believe she is a mean girl but hides behind things like letting me bring my son to my appointments or suggesting places for me to check out when going out however, if you really cared about me like I thought you did as a LOYAL client who had been going to you for OVER A YEAR you would have stopped taking my money and told me to go back to what we were doing originally when you noticed my hair was first breaking. I know she noticed because when I brought it up the second time of us doing the bleach I asked is my hair breaking she said "oh yeah it's breaking girl I can tell". All of this was preventable. I went from getting hair compliments to hiding my hair and feeling ashamed all of the time! I should have known you weren't a good stylist when you tried to suggest to me MULTIPLE times to get on a ozempic type of drug for weight loss or when you BLEACHED multiple of my nice outfits. I hope this review helps someone because if you don't fit Fiona's esthetic she will treat you probably different than other clients like she did with me! She is a SNOB and that's me being nice! And I am a people person everyone loves me so for me to have this experience or have someone make those kind of remarks about my weight unprovoked at that is not in my normal day to day. I truly feel she did not like me and that this to her was funny. All my other stylist before I loved and never had any issues like this! If you have a husband or a significant other who pays don't go here either she will take advantage because her prices would change as well! Hopefully we cross paths one day! This has taught me never go to a snobby stylist who over charges and ALWAYS do what YOU want and don't let a stylist pressure you! Especially one who OVER CHARGES! There are plenty of great stylist who actually care about people and care about their work I already found a new one who will be fixing my hair when it's finished growing back out!
Fiona, Kristin, and Maile are the absolute dream team! I've been seeing Fiona since she was renting a studio back in 2020, now she owns her own salon! It makes me so happy to see her/the business grow over the years. Sunkissed Beauty is the only salon I trust with my hair- sometimes when I come in, I'll just tell them to surprise me/do their thang... that's how much I trust them :) All the girls are so sweet and knowledgeable. The hours I spend here always go so fast, and I'm always looking forward to booking my next appointments. They all genuinely care and keep up with their clients, I know that I'm in good hands. Plus points for always ordering bomb food during our sessions! Another additional point for bringing the boys in my DMs after I post new hair selfies hahah. Even the boys love Fiona's work! Thank you ladies for being the best salon and best girl gang!

She has consistently matched my color expectations and educated me on products to maintain my color and hair health. She even color matched my hair extensions so I could have the wedding hair of my dreams. I look forward to my appointments at Sunkissed Beauty to catch up with her and Kristin. I highly recommend her to any and all girls looking for healthy, beautiful hair
I absolutely LOVE Maile!!! I've been with her for two years and many different colors and she always makes me look so damn good. Seriously she won't let you leave the salon unless you're looking hot!! Not only will she make your hair amazing, she's also super helpful with tips and advice abour aftercare too (which is great for someone like me who knows absolutely nothing). I even moved out of San Diego recently and still booked an appointment with for when I come visit because I love her work so much. I've been a long time customer of Fiona's since 2018. She's worked with me through all of my hair phases of different lengths, colors and extensions. I appreciate her honesty when it comes to what I want vs. what is best for my hair. Her shop is aesthetically pleasing and she always has fun snacks and beverages. I've been going to Fiona for exactly a year now. I found her when she was at another salon up north and have followed her through her journey to having her own salon since then. Not only does she take her time to make sure my hair comes out perfect, she also sells beauty products that she actually uses so it's not just some random recommendation to get me to buy a whole bunch of products I don't really need. I've searched for a good stylist for years but I've finally found someone I can fully trust to take care of my hair and she does EXACTLY that! PLUS she offers other services to give you a great salon experience and her online booking is soooo user friendly, you can practically create your own schedule with her completely on your own for the year. Her response time is also so fast, you never have to wait like a week or two before you can get a reply..which is such a HUGE bonus for great customer service! read more

This was my first experience at a real salon EVER and it was amazing!! Fiona and Kristin are such fun souls i had a lot of fun talking to them they made my first experience so great! I only came in for a haircut, since i was overdue for one BADLY and Fiona made my hair feel alive again, my hair has never looked this good EVER omg. I always enjoy a little bit of change in my hair! When I met Maile at the beginning of the year, she made me feel comfortable while in her chair. Since then, I've been going to her for all my hair needs! If i'm not getting my hair done with Maile, i'm telling my friends to get their hair done with her. 15/10 recommend! read more

Maile is everything you want in a hair stylist: meticulous, current, versatile, and creative. She stays on top of trends and integrates innovative products and techniques, and she knows how to execute edgy styles with care as well. Until last December, my hair has kinda always looked the same, fluctuating between growing it out long and chopping it off to my preferred bob, but Maile has brought color into my life, which is a feat in itself for my stubborn, naturally dark hair!
