This was such a fun thing to do! Absolutely amazing ride and not at all what i expected, in a good way. Such a calm and smooth ride, no dips or sways, no real sensation of moving. Wasn't scary at all. Todd was happy to explain the physics of it all, and how everything works. He even lets you help out with the set up and break down, if you want of course. Sunkiss provided an unforgettable experience. I want to start the review with a bit of education I wish I had up front. Being brand new to hot air ballooning, I wish I had known how dependent on the weather it was. It basically has to be a perfect day for you to go up. We were rescheduled on day 1 because it was too windy and almost on day 2 because of fog. I only mention this because it might not be best to book this if you have a non-flexible travel window. That said, this is in no way a negative reflection on Sunkiss Ballooning, they went above and beyond to ensure we eventually got our flight. They were able to re-book us on the spot on day 1 and drove to an entirely new location to get around the fog on the second day. At no time did I feel they were rescheduling or relocating for any reason other than the complete safety of their guests. They were absolute professionals every step of the way. Once we found a safe site to fly from, set up was maybe 30 minutes and we were in the air. From there, the photos speak for themselves. Once we landed, the balloon got wrapped up and we were driven back to our cars where the Sunkiss team provided a treat that I will not spoil. The only thing I will say about it is I'll be using it back home! Overall, my wife and I had an amazing time with Sunkiss and they are masters of their craft. You're in great hands here. read more

On one hand, I hate to give these guys a bad review - nice folks, and at the end of the day I appreciate their commitment to safety and all of that. None of that's in question here (that's what the second star is for). Here's the story: My girlfriend and I went to the Dutchess County Balloon Festival this weekend, and as it happened our ride was through these guys. So far, so good. We're also aware that the wind conditions meant that it was touch and go all day as to whether we'd go up at all, and we're just as aware that once we were up, the conditions meant that we could only do so much. Here's our problem, though...if we had been told up front that the (extremely expensive) ride would only be 10 minutes (or 1/6th of what was advertised), at least we'd have had the option of saying no thanks and getting our money back. No harm, no foul...in that case we could just write it off as bad luck with the weather and maybe we can do it another day. We didn't know that the ride would be ending until pretty much right up until the time that the balloon was landing. Yes, it was great while we were up there - I'm not disputing that, either. Our issue was with the lack of information ***up front*** about what we were actually going to get. Frankly, we kind of feel gypped. A little honesty would have went a long way here. read more

WOW! Totally amazing once in a lifetime experience. The crew was extremely professional and friendly. Their kindness and courtesy extended not only to their paying customers, but also to their competitors who used an adjacent plot of land for their launch. Further, our flight required us to land in an unauthorized "red zone". The chase crew asked the land owner for permission to land and once granted awarded the land owner with a bottle of champagne. We had received a Groupon for this experience over 4 years ago and there was no fuss about using it now. Way to go team!! read more

Wow what an experience. Our family arrived at lake George this Memorial Day weekend and had made reservations with Sunkiss ballooning along with other events. Our family member spoke to Todd and arranged a Saturday morning flight for 4 people. Todd was friendly and helped coordinate the flight. On Saturday we met up with Todd, Rich and the crew and were warmly welcomed. We one of two booked flights. Todd clearly explained the days events including a post flight champagne picnic. All were picked up in the chase vehicles to go to the take off site. On the way we had a sick person and Rich was kind enough to drop him and his fiancé off to be picked up by family. At arrival at the take off site our family had arrived we explained that we would switch two other family members. The crew said no problem and the trip was on. We were shown and took part in the flight preparation. Todd the balloon pilot explained all what was to take place and made us all feel very secure. The balloon transfer for our flight, take off, flight and we'll piloted landing by Todd gave the most incredible hot air balloon flight adventure. The crew including Rich went above and beyond by having to run through a thorn bush with a hidden barb wire fence so as to bring the balloon to an accessible spot. Ouch to say the least. Overall an incredible experience on a great sunny morning. Thanks to Todd, Rich and the crew. We were driven back to the pick up area and had a wonderful champagne toast and brunch. This was a fun and very personal experience with fantastic aerial views of the Fort Ann/Glens Falls landscape. I am generally afraid of heights so I was worried about going on this balloon ride but it wasn't scary at all. The basket didn't move or shake and all of the people were very nice. The pilot (and owner) seemed like a genuinely good person which is a really nice added bonus. read more
