First, let me start with the staff. Laura and Jennifer are AMAZING! Anytime I had an inquiry, a request, or the very select few times I had a concern, they always made sure to take care of it. And forgive me for not knowing his name, but the gentleman in charge of maintenance is AWESOME! Always quick to take care of an issue you may have (minus normal hours - that's normal!). It all starts with attitude, and this staff has the best! As for living, if you are looking for a place that helps you feel secluded, peaceful, but close to everything, this is the place to live. The only concern is limited parking in front of your unit, but that only happens if you are coming home late at night. Morning and throughout the day is no problem, and there are other spaces available across the complex if something isn't in front of your unit. You might have to walk a couple minutes, but again, only if you are trying to park late at night (around 9:30-10). The appliances are up to date or new, there is plenty of space with the garage (snow...think about it) and it is a very relaxing place and community. Plus, you will have a nice welcome kit waiting for you (won't spoil it) Thank you to the staff for my short, but enjoyable, stay. You are VERY good at what you do!

Even though being told that it is a FEDERAL LAW that service dogs are allowed and presented him with proof of papers, he still gave us a hard time. Not approachable and rude. I'm sorry, but they need education on how federal law trumps any company policy. Also, most of the residents there have pet permit stickers to their doors, so giving us a hard time about an actual service dog, not just a pet like the other residents, was unacceptable. Very overpriced for what we got. Plus, they make you take out your own kitchen garbage at the end of the stay. Shouldn't housekeeping be responsible for that and that be included in the stay? One star review is generous.

BEWARE THE EYEBROW LADY!!! She'll greet you with kindness and kill you with fees. Her name is Lisa…read moreand she is a straight up horrible person. Come live in a castle, they said. It'll be fun, they said. What they do is basically the same standard greeting found in any reputable leasing office. They'll run you through the documents in a way that makes everything seem so transparent and friendly....because they want you to sign. Then you get the first letter notifying you of a fee being added to your rent for a seemingly innocent act. No warning, no verbal confrontation, no awareness any such fine even exists. And it won't be the last. At some point it becomes almost predatory, then it dawns on you this is why you are here. For them to make money off of and as much as possible before you get smart enough to catch on and move on. The best example of this is a third party service they incorporate called Poo Prints. Basically the service DNA registers your dog so they can track owners who don't clean up and hold them accountable. But when you go to their website, it's not marketed to businesses for accountability. Their key selling point is profitability. Seeing that is what made me realize they've adopted that formula into their entire business model through these types of hidden fees. The combined lack of upfront disclosure and their unwillingness to waive any, only solidifies this theory. They will always be nice to you upfront. Paul with his kind dad demeanor and down to earth, relatable small talk. Ivy with her drugged up, bubbly personality. Lisa with her painted on everything and mindless, Pleasantville attitude. And the ominous Calvin who mainly signs all your letters but with the most polite correspondence. Don't let any of them fool you. They were eyeing your neck with their fangs the second you walked through the door. If you find this review to be of any benefit please leave a "thumbs up"

The layout was really well thought out--each bedroom was on opposite sides of the apartment, which made for nice privacy. The in-unit laundry was tucked into a closet off the kitchen, which itself was super spacious. We didn't have a dining table, but a small one would've fit just fine. Most of the time, we just used the long, beautiful island for meals and gatherings. The kitchen also had big, gorgeous cabinets with tons of storage for pantry items and small appliances. We had a large balcony where we could comfortably fit a small patio set--great for relaxing outside. As for amenities, we used the pool all summer long. The gym is another highlight--it's well-equipped and opens right up to the pool area, which is a nice touch. If you're looking for a newer apartment close to highways, restaurants, and hospitals, I'd definitely recommend The Springs. It's also just a short drive to Target, Meijer, and Walmart. The complex is in the Grandville school district, and there are several private schools and daycares nearby too.

Honestly, my two years in Grand Rapids would've been rough without it. Choosing Ridges of Cascade was easy. Here is the reason why.... Office Staff - Nicole and Dottie both have been absolutely amazing. The level of communication and care you provided was more than I've ever experienced anywhere else. No matter what I needed, they were always there to help in some way. From quick replies to clear and thoughtful updates about changes, road work, community events, and more -- they kept everything running smoothly and made me feel truly looked after. Maintenance Team I'm pretty sure I kept them the busiest! There were times I felt like I might've been a bit of a handful with my requests, but they always showed up with professionalism and care. The quality of work they put into maintaining the apartments really shows -- from the precise painting on walls and baseboards to clean flooring, solid cabinet hinges, rust-free fixtures, and spotless faucets. Even the thermostats looked new! Seriously, it's the best-maintained place I've ever lived in. The entire team at Ridges of Cascade does an outstanding job, and it's obvious to anyone who lives there. My only (very small) complaint is that no one ever accepted water or a cold drink from me on those hot days. Highly-recommend this place anyone looking for a nice quiet hope to live in.
