Then we came upon a rental from Florida West Coast Property Management and got in contact with Aimee Bahk. We knew we had to move quickly and Aimee helped get us through the process with ease! Aimee was friendly and professional. She knew the steps we were required to take for us to be approved as renters. Aimee quickly responded to any questions we had during the process. Once our move was successful, Aimee continued to keep in touch. We only had a couple of maintenance issues, which we considered normal, so we notified Aimee. Her response was fantastic! Aimee quickly got the help we needed for the repairs. On more than one occasion, Aimee would say "I appreciate you" as tenants. Well, we appreciate Aimee and want to thank her for all she has done to make our dream a reality!

You might say we were in an unhealthy, co-dependent relationship with our former management company. As in most relationships, it took a crisis for us to realize how badly our former manager was; our former tenant basically sold the property furniture out from under us and the manager claimed ignorance. Anyway, I digress. We were fortunate to have been referred to Florida West Coast Property Managers ("FWCPM") by a realtor when we were considering selling our property. The difference between our former management company and FWCPM could not be greater. Our manager Aimee Bahk is professional, courteous, and a delight to work with. She has helped us through many difficult situations such as finding new tenants and managing repair and installation work orders. If you are in need of excellent management for your rental property on the Florida west coast, look no further than the staff at Florida West Coast Property Management.

She helped me with purchasing my second home and made the process so easy and stress-free. Her demeanor is professional, calm and laid back - no high-pressure sales schtick, Nancy was on point with everything we were looking for. I was on vacation in Sarasota and had a limited amount of time to look for houses (I take my beach-time seriously). Nancy took my 'wants, must haves, and would be nice to have' into consideration, she patiently drove me all over hill and yonder to visit several houses. On my last day of vacation, we finally found the house I was looking for in the perfect neighborhood and in our price range. We did a mail away closing she handled all phases of the process, it was so straight forward, she explained all the documents and it was as relatively stress-free as one can expect. The…read moreproperty was not properly prepared for our stay, and communication from the management company was unreliable throughout. The pool and outdoor areas had not been cleaned prior to arrival, making a key amenity unusable for the first portion of our trip. There were also issues with bedding that required multiple visits to resolve. Communication was inconsistent--we were told we would receive a call back regarding these issues on the first night, but that never happened and we had to follow up ourselves to get a response. Additionally, important details about the property setup (including a tenant on the property with visibility into the pool area) were not clearly disclosed during booking. While a partial refund was eventually issued, it did not feel proportionate to the disruption. Overall, this experience reflected inconsistent management and a lack of attention to detail.

There are no bath mats or rugs in the bathroom downstairs. (There were only two of us, so we had no use for the upstairs on this trip). The bathroom floor is tile and VERY slippery when stepping out of the shower. We had to lay towels on the floor. There is also no mat inside the shower, which is also slippery when wet. There were only three spoons and four forks in the kitchen. If there had been more people with us, we would have had to take turns eating. I would suggest adding more silverware since the home can accommodate eight people. It is great to have a laundry area; however, being on the second floor isn't very feasible. Since there were only two of us, and we used the downstairs bedroom and bath, we had to carry everything upstairs to wash. There are no laundry baskets in the home that would make carrying laundry upstairs easier. This is the home that was assigned to us for two people, this rental agency picks the home for you. Therefore, it was not very practical having an upstairs laundry facility. I have bad knees, and had to have my husband take care of the laundry since I am not to use steps. Although the home was extremely clean, the walls did look bad. There were many places where nails were sticking in the walls (where it appeared there used to be pictures), and many places had fresh paint to cover nail holes that didn't match the original paint at all. I know this is a cosmetic issue, and did not interfere with the actual stay in the home - but it does make the appearance of the home a bit 'ugly.' This is the first time we used this particular rental agency. I am not saying we would never use it again, but I would probably go back to using what we normally use first before using this - reason being you can actually see the home you are getting and know what it has to offer before you actually pay for it. That is one downfall of this rental agency - you don't know what you are getting until AFTER it's paid for.

We needed something by Feb 28 ideally. Found Stephanie's number online. Texted her immediately. Arranged showing next day with husband, Gene. It was ideal for us. From the very beginning, as per text photos below, we said we would ideally like a shorter rental than a year, though if we had to take a year we would. Gene promised to come back to me as soon as he was able to get hold of the owner. He suggested some ideas for how a 6 month rental might work if the owner was open to it. I again made it clear that we could take an annual rental if needs be. I hadn't heard from him by the end of the next day, so I reached out to Stephanie on text and received a short, curt response. Still didn't hear anything, so this evening eventually reached out again, only to be told it was an annual rental that they needed to rent immediately. and it was now rented and "sorry, good luck with your search". I have included our text messages below. You can see I clearly stated from the beginning that we were looking for Feb 28 and if necessary we could do an annual rental. I sent screenshots of the texts and received no further response. I wouldn't recommend these two. They were pleasant enough initially, but they were either disorganized and missed key information, or they weren't honest about why we weren't suitable. We are currently staying in a hotel and now have to start looking again. No thank you, we don't need your help in our new search.

You can do much better! At first it seemed ok. About 6 months into the lease I had horrendous noise coming from upstairs, turns out there were 4 people in a 1 bedroom? There were 2 adults and 2 children which is against the law. I had just like the roaches, have Nick McCann the head "property manager" come down from the front office and Claire actually come and they heard it, and they came down and hear it. Nick lies constantly and said the 3 people were" quests" of his. The law states that they can stay 14 days 6 months a time, Nick told me to have " patience ", well 6 months of this and the constant stress was more than patient. I had asked the moron Madi who is the property manager at Oasis Ranch to please have the maintenance man come down and unscrew the lightbulbs the light hurt my eyes, she snidely replied "we don't do housekeeping! It was her job which she does not do very well to send them down especially being older and having a previous injury they knew about it before I moved in. I attempted it fell broke my Femur and may never walk again with the assistance of a walker and endure chronic pain. She sent maintenance right down as soon as I got out of the hospital to cover herself. I walked in the office on a Friday and the staff was playing video games totally ignored me, until one of the nicer girls said I think Marcie is here to talk to you. I asked to speak to her privately about matters, she has no respect and moves a couple of inches away. Very professional. This person has no remorse that her actions caused someone to be handicapped? If you are in Building 1 and handicapped there is NO handicapped space, and they make the tenant call coding who will not come out. They are breaking the law according to the ADA. Finally the laughable part after being evicted which I never would imagine, because if non payment, I lost my job because of the fall, and could not work, they really could care less, Madi sends me a $10,000.00 invoice, ha! and said that it is due if the apartment is not rented, I don't think so. The girl is so stupid during one of their Thanksgiving community events, people were very angry as they ran out of Turkey, next time if you are still working there, order extra!! Beware spare yourself a horrible rental experience!!
