It has now been four months since we began working with Suncoast Law, and as of today we have paid $1,740 toward our bankruptcy process. Despite this, no petition or skeleton petition has been filed.
Communication has been a consistent issue. Brandon and Melody, Alvin's paralegal team, have been just as difficult to reach as Alvin himself. Calls and follow-ups often go unanswered, and scheduling time to speak with Alvin typically requires waiting up to 30 days.
As a workaround, we now schedule a weekly call with Alvin. This has become the only reliable way to:
1. Receive updates on our case, and
2. Prevent further delays in the filing process.
At this point, I would be hesitant to recommend Suncoast Law to anyone seeking timely filing. As mentioned in previous posts, a major reason we chose Suncoast was their stated assurance that the case would be filed once $900 had been paid toward the bankruptcy. That has not proven to be accurate.
In hindsight, I would not have made the initial $900 lump-sum payment. Paying that amount upfront did not expedite filing in any way, and making standard monthly payments would have resulted in the same outcome. read more
