I am always really anxious when it comes to going to the dentist, but this entire experience has been so great that I've continued to come back. I previously got 2 cleanings done here and because of how well that went I decided to go ahead and get some much needed fillings done. So let me explain more in details what happened. I had gum disease but that lady doctor who has NO SKILLS and NO MORALS wanted me to remove all my teeth because she said "we are all going to lose our teeth one day anyways"?? wtf??? So she doesn't do any laser treatment for gums or anything like that. I asked if with my teeth she would have removed health teeth for gum disease and she said "NO!" She can't do anything or simply won't. I had an infection and she refused to treat it because she rather remove all my teeth... weird no??? Well she quoted me $60,000. I ran!!! I went to a different place and after caring for my teeth and gums we had x ray done and my teeth are doing fantastic. My new dentist said I should report them to the board. She's dangerous. If you are an adult reading this: you only have one pair of teeth. Think about it twice and ask for a second opinion somewhere else because you remove your teeth. while i think the dentist did good work, my experiences at sunbrite were incredibly unpleasant. i had 2 appointments and at the 2nd one, my wait was incredibly long. only after i said i would have to leave did they get me into a room only to wait longer. and while i was in the waiting room, the front desk girls were so unprofessional. i stood at the desk waiting to speak to someone as one showed the other tiktok dances. also, i have never been in such an uncomfortable dental chair and for so long. and at the end, the dentist practically forced me to make another appt for an exam/cleaning and wanted me to pre-pay it, which i refused. so far, the work that was done has been fine, but the whole experience was just too awful. read more

I've been coming to Sunbrite Dental for about 4 years since we first moved to Las Vegas. The staff is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Most recently I started the process of removing my wisdom teeth (at 43 years old). I have been avoiding removal for all these years because I've been terrified of the process (even though all 4 are exposed and in straight). At my last cleaning, Dr. Abalos and Dr. James went through the process in detail with 3D images (which I requested in order to make me comfortable), and I was finally able to start the process. They recommended doing 1 side at a time so you are able to eat normally on the other side while you recover. I had my first side removed end of January. With the help of the dental anxiety medication, careful numbing, patience and professionalism on the part of Dr James we successfully removed my first 2 wisdom teeth(!). The process was so quick and easy with zero pain! My recovery was normal and took about a month to be fully healed. Each person's recovery is different - make sure you follow the doctor's post-op directions for optimal success and let them know right away if you have any issues. For anyone with dental anxiety and fear I highly recommend this office, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with them from cleanings on my very sensitive teeth, Invisalign, cavity/fillings and now tooth extractions. read more

Hands down the best dental visit I've ever had, and I highly recommend them! First, the front staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They greeted each patient by name and even offered water and coffee upon arrival. The offices were spotless and well maintained. I needed an initial consultation with X-rays and full assessment. My insurance was not going to cover it but they honored their New Patient Special, which I'm really grateful for! I'm usually very nervous at the dentist but they made me feel at ease. I really appreciated how they took the time to explain every procedure in a way that was easy for me to understand. I've been to many dentist and had braces for years, but none have ever made me feel so comfortable or have broken down everything so carefully and thoroughly like they did here. Quality of dental work is just not there. Myself and my family members have had dental work done and thought we were getting good dental care. Crowns aren't being sealed properly and decay is getting underneath which are only lasting a couple of years and having to have them replaced and redone and extractions. For the amount they charge I expect better quality care than this. read more

The receptionist are top tier!!! The absolute best customer service I have ever experienced in an office. The reason for my rating is the work I got done from the dentist. I got a root canal done and a cavity fill. I got work done in November 2024 and since I have been back and forth since with pain from the same root canal. After I got to work done, no one instructed me about any aftercare. Literally right after they finished they said nothing about any antibiotics or Tylenol to take. They had me fill out the finance paperwork. When I finish, they sent me on my way. It wasn't until I went back for my check up they asked about the antibiotics if I had finished taking them And my immediate response was I wasn't aware because nobody told me . The Work cost me $1,900 with insurance in which I didn't have that type of money and decided to finance it through one of their financing companies. Yesterday I got a letter in my mail from my dental company stating I owe them $600 because it was out of network dentist I used. Yeah that's my fault for not checking, but they could have said something about them being out of network. So now left with a $2,500 bill and tooth pain everyday, and cant go back to get this tooth fixed because it's gonna cost me more!!! This place is all about money!! read more

After years of not being able to truly call one place home, I finally settled down in Las Vegas. I hadn't gone to the dentist regularly in awhile, so I was nervous going to one since it has been awhile. However after seeing so many positive reviews, I went to Sunbrite since it was closeby. As I was scheduling my appointment via email, I could tell that the staff were friendly. I filled out the paperwork and was assisted by Celina who was so positive and immediately made me feel comfortable. I got their new patient consultation and x-ray special where I met with Dr. Mina. She was so, so kind putting me at ease immediately. She explained the condition of my teeth in layman terms to help me understand everything better and how bacteria forms around your teeth. I had my cleaning and filling done by Kathy who was so sweet. We had a great conversation between the cleaning and she prepared a couple of goodies for me to take home after she noticed that I was having an allergic reaction to something in my dental routine. It was very evident that she really cared about my condition beyond just the cleaning and lasering. I had my filling done by Dr. James who was also just very nice. He was constantly checking to see if I was alright or feeling any sort of pain (which I wasn't). I noticed all around that the staff care a lot about you beyond just the procedure you're there for. They're constantly asking if you need anything from water to coffee and reapplying vaseline to make sure that you aren't chapped throughout the visit. I had two other staff members help me out, but I'm not the best at remembering names. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the results and my overall experience at Sunbrite. Very bad experience, their actual dentist service changed since my previous visit for the worse. I've been going there every three months for over 4 years. Used to be the best place in town, all front line employees are still great, always with a smile and willing to help, they know how to do their job, they do their best to make you feel like family. But sadly when comes to the actual service, there is a new young dentist (can't remember his name but he's the new one there, perhaps a new owner?, because I didn't see Dr. Calvo there), anyway he doesn't know how to do his job, he'll be looking for every single available option in order to charge you more, he'll tell you that a tooth or more than one need to be treated, removed or replaced when there is absolutely no reason to do that, he'll try to take xrays when -once again- there is not need to, anyway he won't listen to you or he won't care about what you say, he'll do his best to charge the insurance company for something else, wrong attitude, you know, I'm 63 years old and I found his attitude very insulting. I went there for a cleaning (I like to have it done every three months), just a simply cleaning, with the higienist was always an excellent experience but this time was different, no higienist this time (perhaps she got fired?) so the dentist was going to do it (something odd), he made that very complicated, I had to leave in the middle of the cleaning, because apparently he didn't want to do his job, he didn't want to finish the cleaning, came up with any excuse to do something else and the little cleaning he did was not right, he doesn't even know how to use a dentist mirror properly, definitely was a painful experience, Once again, he tried different approaches in order to be able to charge me for something else. I won't go back there, already looking for another dentist, but before I left the office I requested to speak with the manager but she never showed up. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. That's too bad because used to be a great dentist office. They lost a customer because of that young new dentist, they lost my entire family, we'll go somewhere else. read more

First of all, I don't think this place is even close to a 5 star, They probably hire their friends and family to give them a 5 star! They would waste your time asking for you insurance and wouldn't even bother using it because towards the end of the day they would try to make you pay out of pocket! this is your a new clients! the only clients i see there is mainly people who walk their or take the bus i hardly seen anyone drive their and park their to get their service. I haven't been to a dentist in about 5years because I became an adult and I had a fear of the dentist. I finally bit the bullet and went in for an $59 exam. The entire staff made me feel welcome and calmed me down. No one shamed me or made me feel some sort of way for shaking... I had a deep cleaning, replacement filling, crowning, and gingivectomies done in the past two months. I still get nervous but I feel so comfortable because of the staff and doctors. (Both docs introduced themselves to me separately even though only one does my procedures. Very sweet couple!) Walter, at the front desk, is super cool! Jess in hygiene is fun despite what she does to you during cleanings (lol). Dr. Abalos is super kind, calming, and sincerely invested in all her patients oral health. PLEASE READ!!! I have a very big fear of dentist from bad experiences in Japan.. I have been to other dentist but my anxiety is too bad... fast forward to 2024... SUNBRITE DENTAL has changed my view of dentist.. from the first time I walked into the office I have felt like family.. they held my hand the whole way through and made me feel so comfortable.. I would have never thought I would be at ease in a dentist office EVER!! I mean from the front desk to the back office and the dentist.. I never felt judged one time... I had broken, missing and just overall bad oral hygiene... the day I got my dental implants Dr C walked me though the whole procedure as he was doing it .. I never felt a thing!! I have heard others say when you get extractions before getting the implants that they stand on your chest and pull the teeth out.. man he was so gentle and I never felt a thing!! I have to be honest after you get the implants you will feel pain and discomfort but that is to be expected.. I have found my forever dentists!! read more

Me and my husband went here for a short time for our bridge and regular cleaning. We stop coming to their office because our insurance wasn't accepted to their office anymore. My husband was diagnosed with kidney failure and to be able to be put in the transplant list one of the requirements is to have a dental clearance with the dentist. Since mostly dental clinics had a long wait for new patient, we have decided to just go here and pay doctors visit and regular cleaning out of our pocket so they can sign. After seeing them, she (the dr) told my husband that he needed an implant because one of his tooth was infected. She also offer some care credit to charge how much will be the expenses, she also said to my husband that "yes i will sign your papers, but you are not cleared". She was so determined to have it done soon as possible. After the appt my husband told me everything, we then realized that we don't have that money for implant so why not do the extraction just to save us some money and time because we needed their signature for clearance. My husband call them and leave message of saying that he wanted extraction instead of implant, since then they never returned our call. I look around dental offices and found one, it was 2 Months of waiting for new patient. Today was my husband appt at the dentist. He then told what was the diagnosis here at sun brite dental, the dentist look thoroughly and also thought it was infection, come to find out it was just a scare tissue. After appt, he then signed the clearance with no offers of implants, etc just to make money out of their patient. So disappointing, we felt like this dental office is just about how to make money out of their patients. read more
