This trip, I brought in a sketch of a play table/chairs I wanted to build for my granddaughter and Tony suggested the best types of wood I could use. In addition, I ordered decking lumber. The kicker here is, an error was made in the billing and Tony called me to tell me about the error and that a credit was coming with my delivery. I wasn't even aware of the error and might not have even figured it out. That's the kind of HONEST business Henning is. BTW, delivery is not expensive and is delivered when you need it. You need lumber or other hardware supplies, Henning should be your first choice, a business you can trust!.

Abbe Lumber Progressively surpassed my expectations. I recently had a contractor redo my deck,…read morethey removed the old wood slats, and installed Trex Transcend. I bought all materials at Abbe. I visited their location in Woodbridge once, and did all other contacts via phone or email. I now realize that they are so flexible that I could've done all interactions remotely without visiting their facility if I needed it, Danny Rivera and the entire team really worked with me and accommodated my requests. Thank you guys! That first contact in their facility was not very professional, the office was disorganized and it felt like a reunion of good old boys, whose humor doesn't really resonate with everyone, rather than a professional place for business. But all of that was erased and the some, by the flexibility, professional follow-through, attention to details, timely drop off and pick up of materials, respect for my property from the delivery guys, and perks that they threw in the deal along the way. I have nothing against Home Depot, but in this case, I'm really glad I went with Abbe which turned out to be more flexible, more accommodating, at a very comparable price.

They are a family business with a showroom just off from Rt 35. I couldn't get to it so I was even given a free ride to go and see for myself what the products look like from Doug the salesman. On the day of installation, I met his wife Michele who is the Showroom Manager. Then there's Mindy who is on top of contacting me and making sure there is communication and then Rob and his team of two other installers. The whole bunch had a great sense of humor, and really enjoyed their jobs! They came on time and offered professional service but still maintaining a great easy-going vibe. The installers were extremely efficient and had window replacement to a science! They cleaned up after themselves and didn't make a mess! Rob has 32 years of windows installation experience and it shows. The guys were down to earth and humble too! They packed all the equipment into the truck neatly! It is one of the neatest and cleanest work trucks I have ever seen! I spied a cooler in their truck! If you get Doug as your salesman, ask him to show you one of his best assets, a cap that his wife bought him. It is a very familiar red and I thought could it be? Then Doug turns around and his cap reads "Make Windows Great Again!" That was too precious! I told him he could offer those for sale too! After installation, I had some issues with the mechanics of the windows and Michele was on it ASAP and dispatched Doug out to see what the issues were. Great customer service! The windows I got are Polaris and made in Ohio! They also install exterior doors and storm doors from ProVia. If your budget will allow you to, get the triple paned glass! What a pleasure it has been to work with this group from start to finish!

No high pressure sales tactics and a straight forward guy. His windows were of the highest quality and his price came in below the other two companies I had out. So happy I chose them. When they were finished you would never have known my home just had two days of major renovations. So clean so efficient and so meticulous. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, prices are slightly more expense than big chains but that's expected from local businesses. Was able to get bags of concrete I needed delivered and unloaded to my house and they had odd ball footing forms other places didn't stock so they saved the day for me. Delivery fees are slightly higher than other places but town residents get a discount. They didn't have topsoil delivery which I thought they would have so that's really the only downside for me. Overall good place I think the main focus is more stone and masonry opposed to overall a landscaping supply.
