Also all the machines have the same design that does not allow for a book or magazine to be held up. There is not even space for your phone. The locker room has one teeny stall I changed in (barely), and showers but with no curtains for privacy? It is just odd. I have no other options for the next six months. Lord beer me strength

In fact, I forgot the last time I saw a gym, especially in a major city, for that little per month. After my "gym tour" with the one of their very kind staff members, I knew I had found my new local spot for workouts. The gym itself is quite big. It has two levels, with most cardio machines being on the first floor and the weights/dumbbells on the second level. I've been going for a few months now, and these are some of my favorite things: - Always clean - Lots of locker space - All machines have been working flawlessly - They follow Covid-19 protocols, so certain machines are blocked off - 24 hour access (!!!!) - Lots of machines, so I never have to wait around to use a tread, for example - Doesn't get too crowded even during peak hours For $15, I get a LOT more than what I expected. I can cancel at anytime and I didn't even have to pay a fee upfront. They do charge you a $39 one-time fee during the first 30 days of signing up, which apparently locks in your membership price in case of any increases in the future. You can also upgrade your membership to their "premium" version which includes tanning, access to the Theragun and a few other perks.

This gym is in a strip mall that appears to be connected to apartments. Never been an issue, except sometimes when you go in the bathroom you can smell the very strong stench of cigarette smoke. I usually just hold my breath and deal. Over the past few months (6 months maybe?), the ceiling has collapsed in this gym, which has made for pretty messy and uncomfortable workouts. I get it- construction stuff sucks- but it looks like they haven't done any work to fix it. It didn't really bother me until today. The neighbors' cigarette smoke is now pouring directly into the gym. The entire gym smells like cigarettes because of whatever is happening with the vents and ceiling. I can't deal with smoke as it is, but even more so when I'm heaving on the Stairmaster. Like what? I really hope they fix this because this has been such a lovely gym. I come in and out of the area so I've been able to pop in for some time to workout and they were happy to help me. The place is clean which is nice. The nicest guy cleans the place and is on top of things which is very much appreciated. Paul is there during the day and will give you a tour and help answer any questions. It is nice to see people who are friendly and want to help you. The owner is also great, Dan, he is usually there in the evenings. There are a few pieces of equipment that are a bit tired from use but overall it has all of the basic equipment to get a decent workout in. It is a small place so you may need to wait from time to time to use something but the people are friendly, pleasant and its feels safe.

They've got huge windows on the seconds floor too so you can look outside while you workout. It's very clean and the equipment seems brand new. I'm primarily writing this review because of the front desk staff. They were attentive and friendly - which is NOT the norm at PF. Usually the front desk staff seem kind of checked out and just stand there. Not at this location. They are happy to help and chat with guests. I am about equal distance from this location and the Portland one. When it came to deciding a home gym the friendly staff in South Portland sold it for me.

Even the PFs in LA are not this updated. It's very clean and the layout of the gym is also great.
