*3 Stars - "I DO love Sun Tan City. The staff is kind, it's clean, and I enjoy tanning here. BUT I…read morefound out something yesterday that broke my heart and I have to speak up.* *If you can pay your membership up front, they take $50 OFF per month. If you're living paycheck to paycheck and can only pay monthly, you pay $50 MORE per month. That's $600 extra a year just for being poor.* *Proverbs 14:31 says 'Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.' This pricing model oppresses the poor. It's a poverty tax.* *James 5:4 - 'Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.' The cries of people who can't afford upfront payments are reaching God's ears.* *Luke 3:11 - 'Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.' If anything, the people with money should be charged MORE to help subsidize those without -- not the other way around.* *Sun Tan City, you have great staff and great services. Please do better. Equal pricing for equal access. Don't punish people for being poor. Micah 6:8 - 'He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.'* *Act justly = Fix this pricing. JUSTLY.* *Love mercy = For those struggling. MERCY.* *I want to keep coming here. I love…read morebeing one of the only people at the gym and I love that they provide towels and aren't insane with covid restrictions as the YMCA became (which is why I switched to Gold Pointe). It's a great gym and Trevor is fine. The cleanliness is the highest of the three gyms I've belonged to. The locker rooms do not smell and do not have that layer of biofilm on the floor that legit every gym locker room I've ever seen has. It's a product of the low traffic - join this gym. It's a blessing to walk around in an immaculate locker room and not squish through biofilm with every step. Someone mentioned Trevor. He's probably on the spectrum (can you blame him for that or does the other person lack understanding?) I've found Trevor very friendly and I think that person is just self conscious in a way that does not know how to cope with interactions with the hyper male things-over-people-oriented genius mind those on the spectrum have.

I went in today to do red light and a tan. I was told there was a 15 minute wait for the red light,…read moreso I opted for a 12 minute tan first and got in "line" for the red light. Another woman came in after me and was told there would be a 45 minute wait by the time I got done. After the employee finished cleaning beds for those who were waiting, she put me in the instant tan. When I was done and dressed, I went back out to the lobby to get checked into the red light. Both employees ignored me and stood at the registers for eight minutes.. When I finally asked the status of the red light bed, they told me it would be an 11 minute wait. I said the math didn't add up because I was told over 15 minutes ago that the wait would be 15 minutes. She told me they "had" to put someone else ahead of me. Apparently, they made a mistake. I get that happens, even though it's happened to me six times in the last seven months. My biggest issue is that they looked at me sitting there for eight minutes and didn't say a word. If there is going to be a waitlist for those that want to do multiple things, I strongly suggest employees are trained on how to run this appropriately. Otherwise, don't use a process the employees can't manage effectively.

I say this because I work at that Kohl's across the parking lot and hate when I have to deal with people that treat employees like I did. It all started with her asking the lotion I use. I get mine from Ulta for about $10 because I can't afford a lot of their lotions at Sun Tan City. She told me I couldn't use it because it had oils that crack their acrylic. Instead of understanding that she was following policy I got mad and I regret that. She was so kind and helped me find a bronzer for about $30 because she understood I have a tight budget.
