I drove past it the first time. The only reason I found it is because it is the only business building in that area. Second, the massage room has a window with cheap venetian blinds that let the light in from the outside. The massage room is much lighter than rooms I am accustomed to. When I turned from my stomach to my back I was left squinting as my eyes adjusted to the light. Third, if you are the type of person who like to get their glutes massaged as part of a "full body massage," you won't get it here. When the massage therapist took me to the room her instructions were for me to leave my underwear on. This was a first for me, but I thought I would give her a chance. She massaged my glutes by pressing on them with her fists through the sheets and my underwear, if you can call that a massage. Then, when she went to massage my legs, she wrapped the draping tightly half way down my thigh. So the top half of my thigh did not get massaged either. I got the feeling she was paranoid that she may touch something she shouldn't, which I didn't understand since I had my underwear on anyway. The rest of the massage was ok, but nothing to write home about. She did do a nice job on my arms. If the rest of the massage had been like that she would have gotten a higher score. After the massage she did give me some stretching exercises, which was a nice touch. Overall I was not impressed with this massage and would not return.

I live in Seattle and was coming to care and assist my mom and dad with the most recent diagnosis. I wanted to schedule a massage for him so he could take an hour and just relax and refresh his spirit and mind. I called around to most of the local massage places in Rockford yet no one would return my call or they said that they could not accommodate my dad. Luckily I found out about Diane and In the Spirit of Health from Northern Illinois Hospice. Diane was the perfect combination of professional and compassionate. I told her about my dads medical issues and she designed her massage around his specific requirements. She arrived with a fantastic smile that set us all at ease, and she continued her graceful approach creating a healthy relaxing environment. Needless to say my dad spent the next hour in bliss, he was able to put aside the mental stress of terminal cancer and truly enjoy himself and relax. Its amazing that Diane was able to give him (and our family) a mental vacation like that. Its been 4 hours since hes had the massage and he is still gushing about it, also it energized him so we could get out of the house for an afternoon coffee and lunch (this is a big deal to us since he has been immobile for so long!).
