I went for the stand up bed, which was clean and looked quite new. Great service, speedy and efficient, plenty of information everywhere on what tanning involves. They also have spray tanning. Really busy little high street, it seems such a popular area that even their one main carpark was full! I would recommend The professional Tanning studio and will be going back, fair prices and nice and easy to just stop in.

I had an awful experience, the receptionist I dealt with was too busy talking to other customers, she rushed me and i believe recommended the wrong amount of minutes. I believe her name was Helen, as I heard another customer say her name, she didn't give me any instructions on how to use the sunbeds, as Im A beginner when it comes to sunbeds and it was my first time at this particular shop. Furthermore the shop was untidy, and I was recommended 9 minutes, I come off burnt and was in quite a bit of pain. Maybe they should offer a consultation or something before recommending 9 minutes to a beginner.

Serviced by a few wonderfully friendly nature ladies I've so far always felt wery welcome, unhurried and satisfied with the excellent sunbeds and value for money. £70.00 buys me 120 minutes and all I need is 6 minutes twice a week to maintain a safe natural looking tan and this is my 4th week. They offer a course of sessions including super high speed sun tanning beds that are not beds at all but stand up booths, these only need a small exposure at a time (10 mins) so you will not need to lay there endlessly like the traditional ones. The costs range depending on the strength of the bed ie from 50p per minute upwards. You can also buy sun tanning creams here to take home or better still, have someone apply the treatment for you.

Plus the wax itself was surprisingly UNpainful-- lovely oil treatment to protect the skin, quick work stripping off the hot wax-- in fact, the only bikini wax in my life that hasn't left me traumatized, nursing a glass of vodka afterward. I've been to this beauty salon a number of times and I really don't know why I've gone back…read more Their health and safety is terrible. Every time I've gone for a wax the therapist has never worn gloves. I had my eyebrows done and the girl hadn't even washed her hands because they stank of marmite and it even made my skin smell of marmite after the treatment which was repulsive. I swore I would never go back, but my current beauty therapist had to cancel on me before my holiday, which meant I needed to book a bikini wax with someone else. I strictly wanted sugaring waxing because of my sensitive skin and Tan & Beauty are the only other salon I know of who offer this. When I called I strictly stated sugaring waxing. When I went in for the treatment I confirmed I was having a sugar wax. The girl started the wax and actually used hot wax, which is a completely different treatment. She clearly thought I didn't know the difference, however I have an NVQ Level 2 in beauty therapy. To add insult to injury she tested it on her wrist, said it was far too hot, then only waited a matter of seconds before testing on my skin. It was far too hot, burned me, and then she waited only another minute before testing on me again. It was again far too hot. As she took the wax off it ripped my skin and I started bleeding (as I said before she wasn't wearing gloves so she could have caused an infection or passed anything she was carrying to me). As a result I asked her to switch to the regular wax. She did a bad job and left quite a few hairs. To her credit she did ask if it was OK, but I was so traumatised by the experience I didn't want her to continue. To make matters worse I have now been left with 3 ingrown hairs, despite exfoliating. I have also gone in for a spray tan and was not asked when booking if I'd had a spray tan before and therefore was not told to avoid moisturising, so I was left with a blotchy tan and then told off by the manager (who did the tan) for wearing moisturiser and causing the blotchy tan! Not a great look on holiday! Please do yourself a favour and avoid, avoid, avoid!!
