There are 6 stand up beds and 2 lie downs, it's adviseable to book at peak times like lunch or after work but you rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes for a bed. The staff are professional and friendly, and are well informed of all the latest offers. They also do spray tans which I've never had but have heard are well done and look good. The offers are sometimes very attractive with 3 for 2 deals etc, and deals including lotion and free minutes which makes your tan last longer. Very clean and hygenic, the staff always prepare each bed for the new user.

You stand on a marker and press a button and spray starts from your feet and works up. You have to hold your breath unless you want to inhale it, I cant imagine its that good for you! and then you turn around and it comes on again. Its quite noisy and makes you jump but the end result it great, very natural looking with no streaks.

However, in term of cost effectiveness, the idea is pure genius! A friend of mine regularly uses the facilities and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else... she likes to pop in on a whim and spend a few minutes on the sun bed before getting in a few groceries, (she says it makes the prospect of going shopping a lot more attractive). It's funny, I have a few friends who use nail shops in much the same way... They pop in and have one nail done to break up a whole string of chores, and they reckon it lightens the load!

At £1 for 3 minutes, soaking up the UV rays is extremely cheap and if you are desperate to get a tan then i guess Lilly Brown's is the place to go. For the more health conscious there are spray tans available. Everythign is unmanned so it would probably be best not to go alone incase something goes wrong...we've all seen the Ross from Friends moment!

For starters I'm a bloke, and even in this age of widely accepted metrosexuality, using a tanning bed is just one step too far for me. However I do live with four girls who frequent the place enough that my opinion is an informed one. Firstly, the place is extremely clean and efficient. Tokens for the beds can be bought from a machine which ensures that should you be a little on the vain/self concious side, discretion is assured. The place is unmanned which means it is almost always open; I have come back from a night out at four and stumbled in for a glass of cold water! At £1 for 3 minutes, (15 minutes maximum due to strength!) it is extremely competitively priced and the spray tans they offer were convincingly natural enough to make me think my housemates had been on holiday!

A friend of mine recommended this place to me when i was in need of a little TLC before a wedding, but with me being so busy during the day I was delighted to find out that the Bauty Lounge Salonhad later opening hours on selected days of the week, which helped me fit in a few treatments - i decided to skip going to the gym for just one night! The girls in here are very lovely and made me feel extremly comfortable, i nearly fell asleep in my chair as i was so relaxed!!!
