Having just stayed here i have to say overall everything was ok. The stay started by paying on arrival which we did but seemed a lot cheaper than we had thought,
(we later found out they had only booked us for night instead of 2 and seemed to blame everyone else for the mistake, thankfully they weren't full and the rooms were still available for the next day.) We went into our rooms as there were 3 groups of us taking 2 double rooms and 1 family room, and although tired and dated they were all good sized rooms, with an en suite shower room (towels provided), there is also a small television with freeview box (if it works or has a signal!), plus a kettle and cups/glasses along with teabags, coffee, milk(uht), sugars and biscuits (make sure you check the dates as our milks were almost 2 months out of date!) The rooms overall were clean but very dusty in places and could have done with a good polish. The beds in all 3 rooms were of typical size with the family room also having a single and bunk beds the only downside to the beds were the mattresses (very hard and no spring left in them, need replacing asap.), the pillows (very thin, almost like they are not there.) and the sheets (the room i was in the sheets had a stain on them! and another room the bed wasn't even made up.). The bar/diner area is very spacious with the normal array of lagers, bitters, ales and spirits available and there is large beer garden area at the rear. The diner menu is very very small for a business of this size (hardly any choice, we went elsewhere.), but the breakfast included in the price of your room is very good with plenty of tea, coffee and juice available and staff more than happy to top up if you run out.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here but i would suggest the management take action on the highlighted issues i have mentioned.
