Look at most of the good reviews, from "people" touring the place. All those nice pictures are from the owners. It doesn't look like that. Eduardo and some staff are amazing but it seems their hands are tied by corporate. Since being taken over it has gotten more expensive, but the only money they put in is the updated lobby that people see first. My dad's hallway has been a disaster area since December with a "remodel". He had to be out of his room twice for 8 hours bc they were working on it. Luckily he had my place to come to, but what about those that don't? Had to be locked in their rooms or chill in the lobby. This was 2 months ago, the pictures are from last week. My husband was hit in the head by an alarm hanging from the ceiling that's been that way for 2 months. What if that was my 89 year old parent and he fell? So unsafe. Dad was having plumbing troubles and they came to look at it. Said someone near him flushed something they shouldn't have. Their solution was that he get a container to put all his toilet paper in and he can't flush paper anymore. HE PAYS $2,400 a month for a small studio with no kitchen!! He can't even flush his toilet paper. When they came to check it they left the bathroom a mess and left the dirty plunger in the shower floor. This is unacceptable. The residents deserve better. read more

I recently had the pleasure of touring several senior communities in search of the perfect place for my grandmother, and Sun City Gardens truly stood out from the rest. While the beautiful upgrades and wonderful amenities were impressive, what made our experience exceptional was the kindness and compassion of Edoardo, the marketing director. From the moment I arrived I was able to observe his interactions with the residents and the staffs interactions with the residents. Edoardo's passion for the community was evident and his kind caring heart truly shows. While observing He greeted everyone and knew all the residents by name and people lit up with happiness when they would speak to them. He had a genuine connection with the residents, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. When I brought my grandmother for her tour, he went above and beyond by holding her hand and assisting her on the steeper slopes, showing incredible patience and care. He took the time to engage with her getting to know her on a deeper level even , remembering details from our previous conversations that I had months prior. The way he treated her and her interaction with the other residents made her feel loved cared about and wanted which was so important for me. My grandmother expressed that, out of all the places we visited, Sun City Gardens was her absolute favorite--not just for its beautiful facility , but for the loving and accepting community atmosphere. It's clear that people like Edoardo make a significant impact on the lives of residents and their families. I wholeheartedly recommend Sun City Gardens to anyone looking for a supportive and friendly environment for their loved ones. My mom stayed in independent living. And besides some neighbors causing sanitary issues with rodents, it was good.

My mom was manipulated into moving into this high priced low budget facility. The entire place is run down and hazardous to any elderly person especially someone with any immobility. The room my mom is in is a dirty mess with electrical plugs not working and vertical blinds falling off breaking every time she opens them. We were unable to get ahold of my mom due to her phone dying from being plugged into an electrical outlet that is not working!!! She's 80 years old and did not realize the plug was not charging her phone. The front desk staff is uneducated and was rude to my mom right in front of myself and 4 other family members visiting my mom. If you're that brazen to be rude to elderly residents in front of family how must you talk to them when no one is around. Do not move anyone you care about to this facility it's horrific. Praying we can get my mom out of here soon. read more

The Gardens felt like a very blessed atmosphere. They were remodeling and everything was looking very clean and beautiful. I took my Dad's girlfriend to look at the place and she loved it and they would let her bring her two little dogs Everyone that worked there was super nice! They were having an Oktoberfest party so they were more than happy to include us. Eduardo is the sales director and you can tell everyone loves him! He definitely has a great spirit and a loving his heart He's been there 30 years! I definitely would recommend this Sun City Gardens. read more

Great people that care for the residents, my 98 year old grandma there and she loves having friends, cards, bingo, chair aerobics.

We are currently looking at options for my mother. We visited Sun City Gardens and have been overall impressed with the accommodations as well as the staff. We arrived unannounced and Edoardo took us on a tour. Edoardo was informative and you could see he has a true connection with the residents. My mother moved into the independent living a year ago, for the most part it was fair, they did have issues with cockroaches, housekeeping always missed days and did the bare minimum. My Mom has move to the assisted living side and the care and service has gone down hill within a month that she was moved there, new management and ownership has caused much of this, they are short staffed and the residents are not getting the care they pay for and entitled to, at any given time 1 caregiver to handle a floor alone, they do their best but when handling 20 plus residents they are limited, my moms room had electrical issues and took almost 3 weeks to get resolved and they had extension cords with limited power to plug in necessities, the director immediately stopped the med techs from administering injections to residents who have diabetic and other needs, no notification was given to the residents or the family members to prepare for an alternative plan, the director wants to go by the rules, they administering injection for a long period of time with out certified personal, but all of a sudden decided to go by the rules, it seems that it is a requirement to give sufficient notice. Elevator is not reliable. The food is poor. The Care givers that have assisted my mom have been awesome, a few not so much but no longer there, nightshift it is questionable whether they check in every 2 hours as she pays for the service for her to be checked on. The personnel at the front desk have always been helpful, management will pass the buck and not respond in a timely manner they have to called and emailed multiple times before they will respond. read more

Their communication throughout the process from my first scout visit to check out the place to move in Day, was very welcoming. The staff all came together to insure my father was comfortable with his room . also the residents are so sweet , and welcoming to my Father and engaging with visiting family too. Suncity gardens was an incredible place for my grandpa to be ! The staff was always kind and welcoming. Whenever he needed anything they were always so attentive. I was able to have lunch with him a few times and the food was great as well ! Edoardo the sales director was one of the kindest people I have ever met. When my grandpa went into the hospital everyone was so helpful with making sure we could clean out his room and take care of his things for him. Esmeralda the move in coordinator was so helpful even before he moved in ! Everyone showed my family so much care and love when my grandpa passed. We helped my mom move to Sun City Gardens independent living community in November. Everything from getting the space ready to getting her moved in to getting her settled could not have gone any better! The staff all seem to genuinely care about the residents. When I took my mom to eat in the dining room her first day, I could see that the waitstaff knew most of the residents by name. The food is very good, and everyone orders from a full menu with a wide variety of options. The rooms are nice, with new flooring, fresh paint and nice views of the center courtyard. Once my mom moved in, she needed some assistance getting use to a new home and new routine. The staff went out of their way to help her. They also have great referrals to community resources and are always willing to answer questions at the front desk. read more

My 96 year old grandfather lived here for over five years and loved living here. He spent three years in independent living and two years in assisted-living. Eduardo was very helpful with the move in process and helped us get connected with VA housing benefits. There are always activities going on and the food is good. We always enjoyed the catered holiday family parties. The facility is beautiful with everything centered around the lush gardens. Once he moved to assisted living he got the best care from Twinkle and her staff. I never worried about him being taken care of and it was clear the staff treats their residents like family. My grandpa had hospice care at the end and the staff worked very well with the hospice staff. They helped in every way possible to support my grandpa and our family through a difficult time. I am so thankful for them and the way they cared for my grandpa. Do not hesitate checking this place out for your loved one. You will be happy you did! read more
