The following month the same problem but this time the girl said she had no idea when my prescription would be filled and I had to go to the store to find this out. What if this was some life saving medication? They were just going let script go unfilled and not let me know they do know until I collapse? Luckily my medication isn't for something major. I told my doctor to send my script to Safeway. Within 3 hours Safeway had my prescription filled.

Because its owner, Donna, is a master in her field, an experienced and accomplished optician, trained in the complexities of grinding and properly fitting lenses into eyeglass frames so that you can see well. As someone who has had poor vision since childhood, my eyeglasses have never been simple to produce, a source of great frustration until I met Donna years ago. I have stayed with her ever since because she is a perfectionist--she always gets everything right the first time around, a rare characteristic among nearly every other optician whom I have ever used. What's more, Donna has a keen sense of cosmetics and would never, for instance, if you have vision like mine, fit you in large eyeglass frames; instead, she would find smaller ones and make sure that you look very attractive in your lightweight eyeglasses. When Donna opened her shop in La Plata, Md. and relocated out of the immediate DC metro area, it was a long drive for me. So she assisted by sending my eyeglasses by USPS, thereby reducing my number of visits; and when I fell seriously ill, she met me half-way to her shop so that I wouldn't have such a long ride. She has always been amenable and eager to help in any way possible. Which brings me to my final observation about Donna: She is a very kind and compassionate individual, someone who cares about her customers and wants them to experience joy and happiness--and for sure they will, especially with her striking and precisely crafted eyeglasses.

Because of that diagnosis, he now goes in to be checked every 3 months. He has had a couple of places scraped or frozen but so far so good. However, in August of 2024, he went in to be checked and had a spot near his eye area scraped. He called a few days later and results were not in. He never heard back so we assumed all was good. In October 2024 he went back in for another check and was given a clean bill. About a week ago, last week of January 2025, he receives a call from a nurse there telling him that the spot they checked in August was basil cell and that he needed to come back in. She told him she tried to call him in September and couldn't reach him. No letter to our home address, no email to his email, no more phone calls trying to reach him, and no message had been left on his phone. Five months passed, and he had gone into the office for an in-person check. Nobody told him he had a problem. They also want him to wait another 10 days before they can see him. This is COMPLETE INCOMPETANCE! It is MEDICAL MALPRACTICE! So now this spot has had 5 months to grow and possibly become something dangerous. I am completely disgusted by this lack of medical follow-up to something that can be so serious, especially for a patient who has already had melanoma. We will be searching for a more competent Dermatologist.

Firstly, I completely identify with the other reviews that call this practice out on the upselling…read more(mouthguards and such); and they certainly like not even telling you that a particular product or service is not covered by your insurance. My deciding factor on finding another practice is when they asked me if I wanted a fluoride treatment after my cleaning...I agreed but after the cleaning and x-rays and lecture by the doctor, they never did the fluoride treatment; the guy at the desk then did ask if I got the fluoride (to his credit) and I thought and said, "Gee, I don't think so, come to think of it...they did the cleaning and x-rays and such and actually, I don't think they ever did..." He asked someone and confirmed it wasn't done. BUT someone had presented the paperwork to the front desk as the fluoride having been done. This almost slipped through the cracks and I also may not have noticed since the receipt they give you is not itemized. Attention to detail, please. I'm just glad it was was a fluoride treatment they forgot and not something more severe like forgetting something during oral surgery. I think this place has improved after the last doctor was there, who put a crown in to prevent a tooth from being infected but then it actually got infected anyway AFTER he put the crown in, and I had to pay thousands more to have the current doctor to fix it. So, in summary, maybe try some place else.
