    If I could give zero stars, I would. Sun Auto wasted our time, took $1,733.57, lied about our warranty, and left us with a bigger problem than we started with. Here's exactly what happened: * We brought my wife's Jeep in because the A/C was blowing hot air. Sun Auto said it was just a fuse and an A/C recharge -- that cost us $483.57. * That "fix" didn't last 30 minutes. The A/C blew cold air for a few miles, then went right back to blowing hot. * We brought it back. This time they said it was the compressor, and told us it had shorted out two compressors. They said they'd called the warranty company to get it covered -- but they never did. They flat-out lied. * Then they told us the fuse box was causing the problem, so they replaced that too. We paid another $1,250 and they promised us it was "definitely fixed this time." * We picked the car up -- halfway home, the A/C started blowing hot air again. Same exact problem. We finally took the car to T & M Automotive for a real second opinion. Here's exactly what T & M said on their invoice: "Customer took vehicle to Sun Auto for AC concerns. Sun Auto replaced fuse and AC compressor and fuse box. Vehicle still had same problem. AC blows cold with low amp fuse blows hot with proper amp fuse. Found short to ground in fuse box connector. Located broken connector. Removed fuse block and connector repaired wiring for compressor circuit installed new fuse and recharged system AC blowing cold now." On top of that, T & M also found that Sun Auto installed the WRONG fuse: They put in a 15 amp fuse when it should have been a 10 amp fuse. So not only did Sun Auto fail to fix the actual issue -- they made it worse by installing the wrong fuse, which could have caused even more damage. T & M diagnosed it properly, fixed the wiring, put in the correct fuse, and recharged the system -- all for $625. And it finally works. Customer service was just as bad as the repairs: I called Sun Auto's customer service line and was told district manager Cameron Goodall would call me back within 48 hours. He never did. I called back on July 3, spoke to Sesily, who gave me the wrong number for Cameron -- when I called it, I was cursed out because it wasn't his number. I called back, spoke to Mindy, got the right number. When I finally reached Cameron, he hung up on me. I called customer service again to escalate to the regional VP Chris Doster -- still haven't heard a word back. They just do not care once they have your money. BOTTOM LINE: Sun Auto lied about calling our warranty company, misdiagnosed the problem multiple times, shorted out compressors, installed the wrong fuse, and charged us thousands for work that didn't fix the issue. Another mechanic fixed it properly in one visit for a fraction of the cost. This place is dishonest, incompetent, and makes problems worse. Save your money, your time, and your sanity -- stay far away from Sun Auto. To top it all off, we had a family vacation planned with our kids and this issue has put us in a tight spot.

    Sun Auto Consumer Complaint - Filed 5/2/2025 Summary Overview: DO NOT take your vehicle to this location! They will attempt to overcharge consumers for unnecessary repairs and misdiagnose issues to exploit customers. I "suspect" they intended to replace our OEM alternator with a cheaper part while selling the original for profit--all over a simple brake fluid issue. On April 28, 2025, I took my wife's 2002 Honda Odyssey to Sun Auto, located at 4539 Blue Diamond Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89139, due to the vehicle displaying a "brake fluid may be low" warning message (first appearing on 4/27/2025). I spoke with Scott, a front desk employee, who informed me they were about to begin a team meeting and suggested I return the next day (4/29/2025) since they were nearing closing time. I agreed and took his business card. On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, my wife brought the Honda in for inspection along with our two children (a 3-year-old son and 8-month-old daughter). After the inspection, the service advisor, Haydin Newbiggin, informed her that the vehicle needed a new alternator because it was "overcharging" and that the battery was "bulging" with a smell of battery acid coming from the A/C vents. My wife immediately texted me about the issue. Our 2022 Honda Odyssey only has 59,200 miles, and I had not observed any flickering lights or electrical issues--common symptoms of a failing alternator or battery. Given that Sun Auto quoted $1,631.77 for the repairs, I advised my wife not to proceed with their services, as I believed we only needed new brake fluid. When my wife informed Haydin Newbiggin that we would not be moving forward with their recommended repairs, he insisted the problem would "only get worse." They then offered to refill the brake fluid, but at that point, I no longer trusted them due to their questionable diagnosis and my growing skepticism. After retrieving the vehicle, my wife noticed a large grease stain on the dashboard and that the display screen was completely off, showing only an anti-theft message. She called Sun Auto immediately, questioning why the screen malfunctioned when it had worked fine before the inspection. Haydin Newbiggin claimed it was due to the "alternator beginning to fail." My wife firmly told him they needed to fix the issue or I would return to address it myself, as the problem did not exist prior to their inspection. His tone shifted, and he instructed her to bring the vehicle back. Fortunately, my wife found a quick fix on YouTube, proving the issue was unrelated to the alternator. On May 1, 2025, at 2:04 PM, I (Christiansen) returned to Sun Auto to request a printed copy of their quoted repairs and to confront them about their attempt to take advantage of my spouse. Haydin Newbiggin appeared defensive, raising his hands in a dismissive manner and shifting blame to the mechanics. I expressed my dissatisfaction, explaining that on April 30, 2025, a second mechanic confirmed we only needed brake fluid--which resolved the warning light. I further questioned why they left the vehicle in anti-theft mode and failed to restore it to its original settings, instead falsely blaming the alternator. Additionally, I addressed the grease stain on the leather dashboard, for which he had no explanation, again deflecting responsibility to the service team. Before leaving, I requested to speak with his manager, but he only provided a business card. As a 17-year Active-Duty U.S. Air Force service member, I made it clear that I found their business practices unacceptable. I informed Haydin that I would be filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC), as well as posting reviews on Google and Yelp. It is my belief that Sun Auto saw my wife--a young mother with two small children--as an easy target, assuming she wouldn't recognize their deceptive tactics. Respectfully, ///SIGNED/// Christiansen

    DO NOT GO HERE. I requested a brake inspection and oil change, and declined the additional repairs and ended up only receiving an oil change as I did not have additional time to wait on a friday. Upon leaving, my check engine light came on. It has never come on before.. I called Sun Auto and they told me I can bring it back to take a look at my convenience. Upon returning my oil light came on and the vehicle started smoking and the cabin filled with smoke. I brought the car back and they apologized and cleaned the oil that was spilling. The tech said he didn't tighten the oil pan and was apologetic. They took over an hour to "fix" the issue.. After waiting for so long I asked Scott (the manager) if he would offer a discount or refund for the inconvenience. He declined and stated he could give me a discount if I was to bring the car back to have them do the brakes. This was upsetting. I shouldn't have had to pay for something that wasn't done right, took hours, and could have damaged my vehicle. Since that time the vehicle now leaks oil (never did before). I'm extremely disappointed.

Called up and scheduled an appointment with Jon. Upon his arrival we just knew things were about to trend in the right direction. After attempting to "kick" the starter and run diagnostics on the battery, it became evident that both needed to be replaced. The battery was only a few months old, but as is the case sometimes, there is a chance you might end up with a dud. Based on Jon's suggestion, we managed to get a replacement from the nearby auto parts store, and within a couple days, the starter replacement arrived, and Jon not only installed it but even helped change the oil in my mom's car as well and answer some of her questions and concerns. We will definitely continue to use, as well as recommend Jon to friends and family. Thanks Jon! BTW: The Rooster, with his leather jacket on, says hi. :D

After unsuccessfully calling several Mobile Auto Pre-Purchase Services, I called Thomas and he was willing & eager to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection immediately on a 2014 Mercedes SL550. At 12:40pm, I explained to him that I was out-of-state & interested in purchasing the vehicle within 24 hours in the Las Vegas Area. After our conversation at 12:40, Thomas called me back while at the Dealership prepared for the inspection at 2:25pm. Yes! The same day! I was astonished & surprised with the promptness and professionalism!! He met with the salesperson who said the car was in great condition (mechanically & electrically). However,After the inspection, Thomas advised me to stay away from the vehicle due to the 59 exposed & undisclosed issues found by his inspection. Thomas, you saved me tens of thousands dollars on purchasing a " problem child" lemon. I would highly recommend "Mechanic on Wheels" After all, Thomas saved me from purchasing a lemon! Thank you!     Absolutely the worst incompetent shop for the most basic service. They even put my tires on…read morebackwards. I brought in my car to get my tires changed and they stated it would take 3-4 hrs to take off each wheel because the car is lowered. I told them no need to jack the car up on the sides and that you can jack it up frome the radiator core support and the rear differential. So instead i took the car home and removed all the wheels off in 5 min. Brought the wheels back and specifically organized the wheels to differentiate the front and rear wheels. Hard to mess up since they are different widths. They put on my driverside front and rear backwards. Any 5 year old can figure out that each side is going to be flipped opposite to the other. I had to bring the car back for them to do it over. I asked for a partial refund for wasting my time. They denied it and said they will fix it. So basically your time doesnt matter to them. They would rather lose a customer than to partially refund me back which is the right thing to do if you as a business were at fault. Guess these review reflect the service. Over priced and absolute terrible work that you could teach a dog. So many cheaper tire shops out there that get it right the first time. Never coming back. Sound nice on the phone but dog sh*t customer service.
