My parents had wills drawn up a few years ago through a neighboring firm instead of a trust, so when my mother suddenly passed in 2024, I wanted to ensure that the remaining estate was placed in a trust for reassurance and ease of handling for when the inevitable time comes when my father passes. Joshua was one of several estate attorneys I connected with, and through his friendliness, availability and approachability, I selected him to assist and I am very happy with that decision. Joshua, and his assistant Ms. Penny are absolutely wonderful to work with. Joshua has provided invaluable guidance and direction for me and my dad, while Ms. Penny follows up and checks in along the way. Our property in GA was taken care of, and Joshua got us connected with an Attorney in FL to help with properties there. The process was smooth and stress free. I wish it were a better experience, but here we are... A few years ago I recommended and implored my parents to take steps to protect their estate, themselves and us kiddos. After researching and speaking with estate attorney friends, I set them on the path to find a local attorney to set up a Trust. They had previously worked with Mr. Mann, so they connected with him. They shared their desire for a Trust, but unfortunately were talked out of it and instead went the Will route. This was due to Mr. Mann, self-admittedly, not being very familiar with Trust's, a with my parents having property in two states, it made things more difficult. Unfortunately my parents followed his lead and agreed to Wills instead of a Trust. By the time I was made aware, it was too late and they were located in. The Wills were basic, but provided what was needed at the time, then my mother unexpectedly passed in March of 2024. Shortly after we began the process of probate with Mr. Mann, and it was a painful and expensive process. In addition to the standard probate cost, there were lots of ancillary charges for additional work to be completed. We spent well over $3,000 after all was said and done. Additionally, Mr. Mann was very difficult to get in touch with. Schedule was limited with shortened work days and work weeks. Response to emails and voicemails could take upwards of two weeks. And the receptionist was never really helpful, and borderline rude on occasion. Overall, I unfortunately cannot recommend this law firm in good conscious, especially for such delicate situations as estate planning. Sounds like a one star review, but my parents did have a good experience in previous situations outside of estate planning, so credit is due.
