My credit is the worst that anyone could have. I was in a car loan that had an high interest and I didn't know how I was going to pay rent and keep my car too. I didn't know what to do. I looked up law offices in my area and came across Ballard Law Office. I called and talked to the secretary. She was very nice. She asked could I come in at 10:00am. I said yes. I was very nervous and I felt ashamed because of my credit and I was thinking about filing bankruptcy. Mr. Ballard invited me to his office. He greeted me with a warm smile and a hand shake. He asked me did I want anything to drink. He did everything to make me feel comfortable. He looked at my credit. I was really nervous. He said to me. "You are fine. Your credit don't look that bad. Your credit is just life." I felt so much better. He asked me how much I could afford to pay with my rent. I told him. He asked me how long was I paying on my car note. I said about 1.5 years He said that filing chapter 13 I was able to keep my car and pay what it was worth in the bankruptcy and he said after this you can build your credit and be able to get a house with your children. I was elated. I knew it was a way out. I left there with my head up high. Every time I call the office the whole office treated me like family. Out of the 6000$ they used less than 5000$ we received no refund for the remaining balance. We also received an invoice asking for more money. I believe this to be unethical and do not recommend using this law firm. I will continue to share our experience across all social media platforms. I have personally hired multiple domestic attorneys in the past few years and this was by far the worst experience.
