It even has a zen reflection garden, a wonderful auditorium, and even has an ATM in the middle of the school. Needless to say, it left quite an impression atop the ridge where it is located.

This school requires a very specific person to enjoy it. It's 7th-12th and in 7th grade those who…read morewent to Denison will already have friends there and won't really branch out until around the end of the year leaving those who did not go to Denison sometimes feel left out. The teachers tend to be republican along with many of the students however very few teachers make their views known to students besides the occasional slip up. The teachers for 7th and 8th are not the best but after that it tends to get better. One problem some might have is the closed campus. While there being a closed campus on its own is not bad the food there isn't good at all. Your only option to get a good meal is to make your own lunch and bring it to school but that isn't always an option. Also if you want to be able to spend time with your child then don't send them to develyn as the work load is over the top with the principal saying that 3 hours of homework should be the norm. Overall, if your child does not cope with stress well do not send them here. In the end I don't think that this school is right for most people.

Driving through here on a…read morelast minute whim heading to Wyoming, we drove by Columbine to pay respects, ended up in the tiny parking lot out front and was stalked/ followed by their many armed security personnel (waste of taxpayer money). One security, being hostile, hopped in front of the moving vehicle, asking questions and wanting the DL, trying very hard to scare you instead of just simply directing you to the memorial site, which makes more sense. They did have a no trespass sign, but it was miss if you blink. The school was shabbier and smaller than what was seen in pictures, but I wouldn't want to attend anyway due to the tense and dark atmosphere residing there. The people are very dark, brooding and mean. Be careful going over there. You will be looked at as a felon. The security, that's planted at the school, automatically assumes that you are coming to start trouble because they want to make sure they're doing their job this time. Now, I'll take the blame for being a gawker, but I really was trying to pay respects passing thru on my way to something else. Since it was a major news story, I'm not sure what they expect.
