My wife made her decision and I forced her to go through with it. The old Joni Mitchell song comes to mind when you are faced with this situation. "Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got till it's gone." When you can't walk without pain and you start to change your lifestyle because of it, it tips the scales in favor of surgery. She heard through the grapevine about Dr. J. Chris Coetzee. She had the surgery three weeks ago. The clinic at the University of Minnesota campus was professional, friendly, and very caring. They listened to her fears and concerns and made adjustments. She came home very satisfied. They answered the calls that night when the pain increased and did what they could to help us through the difficult period. But the information they gave us on what to expect was accurate and did not pull any punches. We went back and saw Larry, the PA, after two weeks and he treated her with respect and tenderness as he removed the dressing and stitches. She is still recovering, but she is very thankful up to this point to have had such good care.

One tip: If you think you may need a cortisone injection, check whether the location can provide it on-site. Not all locations offer the same services. I actually switched TCO locations so I could receive an injection more quickly without having to schedule another appointment elsewhere. The injections have made a real difference in managing my shoulder pain. Overall, TCO has been a great resource for orthopedic care, and I appreciate having access to urgent care when I need it.

Just called the Eden Prairie Twin Cities PT Clinic for a one time appointment to fill in for a day…read morewhen an appointment was not available at Viverant Chanhassen at which I had scheduled my regular post knee surgery appointments. By the way, I read reviews for both clinics and as a result, chose the Viverant Chanhassen instead of this clinic for my main bloc of 24 appointments. Now I see why TCO Eden Prairie has a low rating. After I gave this receptionist my name and explained what type of appointment I needed and which date I wanted, she rudely asked what kind of appointment I wanted, as if I had said nothing! When I again told her, she said in an accusatory tone" You already HAVE appointments!" I said no, not for the requested date. She then said coldly that she had nothing available for the fill-in date I wanted. Contrast this with the other place ( Viverant) where the receptionist was as nice and friendly as could be, wishing me a great day. Boy am I glad I scheduled the other regular appointments with Viverant instead of this place! Even if the therapy is good I wouldn't go to a place with a receptionist who is a B.

I was so thankful that I ended up with this doctor. First of all he is a good listener and not once did I ever feel rushed in any way. He made eye contact and is patient with any questions you have. He is professional and very knowledgeable and he tried to explore " other " options rather then just rush into surgery. I know Dr. McCarty also is a physician for some professional sports team players in the Minnesota area which helped boost my confidence. If you have a need for an Orthopedic specialist, I give my highest recommendation to Dr. McCarty.

He received a phone call the day before his appointment that they had to cancel his appointment due to her having a meeting that will run over in to the time of his appointment.. Then they proceed to say he could get in to another clinic at 1pm almost two weeks away.. He needed the appointment to be after 3pm due to his work... First of all you had an appointment set for the day of a meeting they should of set the meeting up for after his appointment or could of called last week to let him know... He has been in pain and needed to be seen asap, and was willing to wait the week... Will not recommend anybody to go to them at all...Thank god I was able to get him into another place not affiliated with them in two days..

She said no, I will be there. When she showed up, they made her sit for 10 minutes as THEY were behind schedule. TCO = Total Crap Operation.
