Tenderloin and patty melt. Not complicated. Then watched as at least a dozen or more separate takeout orders were given to others. Had to be at least a total of 50 different orders leaving with 12 different customers over the course of over an hour. Server still checked on us. Finally after over an hour's wait I'd had enough. Other later arriving custoners, a 2 party, got their food ahead of ours. I paid for the two drinks and left. Won't be back. It wasn't a case of a lost ticket because server knew where the ticket was. She said it would be up soon. Nothing on the grill when I looked. I don't mind a busy night but it was obvious the call in orders were being served before customers were being delivered orders.

My mom said the regular parking lot is a few blocks away, so might be worth paying extra for a good spot! ENTRANCE: For our show, it was easy! We arrived an hour prior to the start and got in within 5 minutes. Staff was quick in checking our tickets and getting us in. SPACE: This space is stunning and clearly brand new! Cool local mural on the wall, fun designs and decor, great bar lighting and ambiance. DRINKS: Priceyyyy haha pregame elsewhere! A simple cocktail was $20+. But the amount of bars is a LOT - like 5+? - so you'll not have to wait in line long. FOOD: They had a corn dog or popcorn available at our show - not much for concessions. Again, I'd pregame elsewhere! BATHROOMS: Great facilities! Very clean, tons of stalls and sinks. And a cool vibe in there - hats off to the designer. MAIN FLOOR: On the main floor, it's usually GA/standing room only for concerts I'm sure. But for ours - a more interview style show, we had fold out chairs. The stage was high enough we never had any issue seeing! UPPER SEATING: The seats up here are super comfy looking - maybe quite a bit further back and I'm not sure how the view compares, but so comfy! The best seats are the company-bought "box seats" similar to at a baseball game. There is a row of seats right along the rail but I think you'd have to look out through the railing if seated.

The restrooms downstairs are much bigger than I expected and they are very modern and clean. Overall I was so impressed with the building and the architectural details. Exposed bricks and stone add a lot to the atmosphere.

Instead of heading straight home, Scott suggested that we drive past our former Ames house and then stop for a drink at Mother's Pub, which was known as Dugan's Deli when he attended ISU. We had a nice time, as we ordered our drinks, took them to the patio outside, and let Scott reminisce about his college days. And even though I graduated as a Hawkeye, I could tell my own Ames stories, like the time Bob Merrill and I stormed onto the old Clyde Williams Field with others to cheer the ISU football team during coin toss. The bad, multiple times calling the day tickets are available and reserving certain seating we have had things gone wrong with either those seats now taken by someone else or moved around or not even reserved. That may or maynot make you upset so that is up to your preference. The drink selection is kinda all over the place. Some really weird well liquors and a selection of can and bottles i do not see often and find kind of odd for midwest iowa folk. No real craft beer even while Iowa has alot of that going on. This last visit i didnt even end up drinking at all because i didnt want any of that stuff. The bathrooms or at least the Mens room is super tight. There is a handicap ramp up to them but i dont know how you could maneuver around once in there. There are 2 urninals and a big stall for what seems like a 100 plus people sized room so timing when to go is required haha! All in this still is a pretty good venue and they get quite a bit of live music so if you dig that and like some of those particular drinks and want to drive 30 min outside of town and dont mind your assigned seating getting bumped this'll be for you!

No trains went by while we were there, but it was right next to the tracks. I know that we are going to use this location again in the future.
