It was a last minute idea and the Hatch folks were the only ones with 2 spots. We hit the JACKPOT. This company is being run by a third generation Hatch (Hi Steve!) and have it down to a science. From the pre-trip info, to the connections to shuttle/stay the night before the launch and then 12 days on the river. We hiked some amazing locations, we learned so much from the legendary guide JP who was running the raft we ended up on most, we ate like royalty every meal organized by Emily, and played fun games with the other guides Josh and Ryan. They even baked me a birthday cake as it was my bday during the trip! One thing I paid attention to was other companies on the river with us - especially those with similar rigs and how their guest were situated. I was very stoked with how the Hatch crew sets up the rig for passengers. We could move around and sit in different locations easily. Some of the other rigs I saw from other companies, it didn't appear as adaptable. There is so much to see and experience in the Canyon and its hard to summarize in a few words. We had such a good time and if we ever get the opportunity to do it again, I would 100% go straight to Hatch River Expeditions and pick up one of their trips, even if I had to make a private version ! Super cool guy. Cris: Chill. Sits back and takes it all in, but then pipes up and adds so much positivity! The meals were incredible - I ate better in 2 weeks in the canyon than I do at home! Breakfast, lunch, dinners and desserts were A+. Crazy good quality, diversity (steaks to ahi tuna steaks to cakes and cookies)...Freaking on point! All of the gear provided was top notch too.
