This place is wonderful! We were able to have our entire family seen in one visit. Dr. Hoffner and Dr. Vanzant are friendly, skilled, provide laser, general, and sedation dentistry. You can even get Botox for Bruxism and frownlines and the rates are better than any i have found. We can use our FSA easily, and the office staff sends off the fax to our insurance company for us fsa etc also. Super easy. read more

Dr. Vanzant and his team were great! I don't have dental insurance, but the left side of my mouth was really bothering me. I called late in the afternoon and they were able to get me in the next morning, and quoted me a very reasonable price. I had such a pleasant experience that I scheduled my bi-annual cleaning at his office at well! They give you sunglasses so the bright light doesn't hurt your eyes, which I've never had at a dental appointment before, but it was a great touch! Where to start, Dr. Vanzant truly cares. First dentist I've had that won't let me be in any pain at all during procedures, he explains everything and helps keep the mood light which is huge for me to keep calm. He came in on a day where the business wasn't even open to help me because I had so much pain. The entire staff is so genuine, and you just know they care! Professional, clean, considerate, everything you could ask for out of a dentist's office. They truly go above and beyond. I am new to the area and picked Summit Dental from list covered by my insurance company. I scheduled an appointment for teeth cleaning. The hygienist who did my gum evaluation was very hard on my gums, digging deeper than I think was necessary after having this procedure many times by both my previous dentist and my periodontist. He said I had numerous deep pockets and it would be necessary to have a deep cleaning and also see a periodontist. The cost for the procedure was approximately $650. The evaluation was considerably different from my previous dentist where I had moved from. This made me feel very uneasy about the consultation and decided to get another opinion. After xrays with the new dentist, and another gum evaluation, I did not have the deep pockets previously described by Summit Dental, and the only one that was a little deep, she could get with a general cleaning. She showed me the plaque on that tooth on the xray. I did not need a deep cleaning. I feel somewhat scammed by Summit Dental into getting a deep cleaning, and would advise patients to use caution. read more

I had a veneer on a front tooth pop off while eating on an awesome, but hard, french baguette. I was traveling and more than a thousand miles from my regular dentist. I called Summit Dental and his scheduling assistant, Amy, found a slot for me to see Dr. Vanzant the same morning. The office staff are friendly and efficient. The minute I checked, and before I could be seated, I was ushered in by Heather. The office is modern, and I could see they had all of the cutting-edge tools of a 5-star dental office. A quick examination by Dr. Vanzant and in about 20 minutes I had my full smile back! If I lived here in the Kalispell area, I would absolutely make Summit Dental my home for all dental needs. I found most of the staff smiley, fake nice and over explanatory about their procedures.They use that to try to scam you to get to your $1125 annual medicaid dental cap(which if they drain you of your $1125 cap then you have nothing left for any possible much needed procedures as each quadrant/section of your mouth for a deep cleaning gets them $300 each)as do most dentist's offices around here that take medicaid insurance because if you take care of your teeth medicaid doesn't pay them as much for a regular cleaning as do the deep cleanings and the regular cleanings don't come out of the annual cap,so they will tell you in a long winded explanation that you are in need of deep cleaning/planing and scaling and supposedly why you supposedly need it.Everyone there will ask why you don't want it done and quite frankly you do not owe them an explanation.Some people actually do need this deep cleaning procedures BUT not as many people as most dentist offices around here claim people do AND deep cleanings/planing and scaling should only be done at a periodontist's office and only after a periodontist has diagnosed you with gum disease.We all need to educate ourselves about this deep cleaning scam that is going around this valley pertaining to the medicaid insurance $1125 annual cap as well as the medicaid dental fee "schedule" otherwise we can/could all fall for being scammed and trapped in procedures and bills we don't need and cannot afford.Also the billing lady Lauren's smiley fake mask will wear off and she become rude and nasty if you don't put up with her aggressive attitude.She really was the cherry on top of why I will not be coming back. read more

The receptionist was so helpful and friendly and courteous: She juggled some other appointments around to get our daughter in for a tooth emergency after two other dentists declined. Great group of caring people! They don't give you grief for years of not having dental care. They work with you on options that you can afford so you don't loose a tooth. I haven't had great experiences in the past with dentists and life happens so I put off going to a dentist.
