He finally made the switch after just five months of having a second account here. The staff is always friendly and helpful (even the call center). Within two weeks DCCU had set it up!!! My very favorite thing about this bank is the online banking and phone app. I LOVE their app. Bill pay works perfectly, deposits show up super fast, and it is so up-to-date it shows our pending auto deposits!!! Gradually over time this place has drifted and sunk into an impersonal approximation of the citi et al that we are all trying to avoid by using credit unions.... But without bankers' brutal efficiency The irritating straw for me today was trying to use the "shared branching" locator on their website.... It listed 12 branches within about a mile of my my office (metro center, Washington, D.C.). Great! The first one had no branch, and was really just an atm. Other than an actual cofcu branch that is never open after noon, the next 11 listed branches were all in federal buildings that only allowed employees on premises. Thank you for completely wasting my time. I don't know whether it was due to a woefully inadequate level of competence? Or a willful attempt to mislead customers? In either case, it was a very irritating experience.
